I got a Century Link bundle including internet and cable. When they came to install the internet, the technician told me our telephone jack wasn’t working and it would cost an additional $ 100 to install a new phone jack. So what you’re telling me is that I have to pay to install the NECESSARY jack in order to pay YOU to use your service? BS. Bundle cancelled immediately, and I will tell all future tenants in my building unless they want to be ripped off, go with Comcast. Lesser of two evils, I suppose.

They must hire the most unhappiest candidates for customer service. It never fails that when I call I get a rude representative. All I can say is I am happy our contract is up and will not be signing up with them again.

Two weeks ago, I went to the Centurylink website to upgrade my service. I checked their information pages to confirm that a particular speed was available in my area, and that my current broadband modem would be compatible with said speeds. All of this information proved to be a lie, and Centurylink has not stopped lying for the two weeks I’ve been trying to solve the problem and get some form, ANY form of internet back. Only better than Comcast in that their customer service isn’t OPENLY contemptuous of their customers, I’m only enduring these lying idiots until Longmont’s broadband utility service is available in my part of town.

Door to door sales came by, promised 20 Mbps on internet for $ 40ish a month, risk free trial etc. After 1 month of no greater speed than 9 Mbps, averaging around 2 – 3 Mbps, I called to cancel. My risk free bill? $ 90. This is a con, basically a rebranding of Quest, with all the old, and some great new problems.
