I’ll admit, I’m not a big beer fan, but it is always fun to go to either of their locations with friends. And they do have one beer I do like called GKnight. Its very strong, so 1 will do ya.

We’ve been twice. If you want beer, it’s great. The food is ok, nothing to «oh my God» about. But it is noisy, which for me is a disadvantage because I’ve got some hearing loss in certain frequencies, despite what my wife describes as «selective».

Always love this place. Great food. Great music. Great staff. The bartenders actually know what they’re talking about.

Absolutely delicious nachos. Love their deserts. Good for brewery food. Have tried many things on the menu. Indoor and outdoor seating. Noisy though, but that adds to the ambiance. 2015NEWYEARSEVE don’t miss the Deltasonics with Bob Pelligrino on guitar.

I love the fries and There’s a Hippie in my House sandwich. The bread is s nice crispy French baguette. I never add chicken or bacon because I think it is perfect as it is. The wait staff are friendly and the bartender offered suggestions about beers we might like, including offering tastes. Love the Viva Lyons red beer. Smooth. I’ll be back.

2 stars again. Got the first round of beers wrong and second beer we split was«off» and tasted flat… Also effed up my order. I requested a cheeseburger and got either a) a chicken sandwich or b) a turkey burger. Couldn’t tell. My wife finished her salad before they brought out my burger. This place has gone DOWNHILL.

Go on a Sunday and get a Pinner and whatever the chicken, grits, biscuit and cheese dish is. So, so, so good. Also a must try is the jalapeño poppers. I have never had a bad experience here and the simple little water feature of outside is pretty cool. If you have never been, I suggest you try it out. If even just to look at the cool stuff on the walls.

When a customer calls in and asks you if dogs are allowed and you say yes, and that customer drives from a different town to come by and is turned downed… it’s a horrible experience. I was told that dogs were allowed, we asked which location and they said it was fine to bring a dog on the patio here. We walk in and both women were not that apologetic at all. When potential customers make the trip out to visit your business and you turn them down after misleading them it’s not so good for your business. This was a bad experience, very unprofessional.

So here’s the thing. I love Oscar Blues beer. Love it. There’s really so many great beers to be had from them. I’m a fan of their beer all the way. I wish I could say the same for the restaurant, but I can’t. The burger I order was extremely overcooked & sloppily put together. The bun was almost stale. The fries were soggy, full of grease, & bland. I didn’t bother finishing either. The friend I was with order the fish & chips & had a similar verdict… very dry fish, soggy breading, greasy chips. From what I know, that sounds like there could be a problem with their fryer not heating the oil to the appropriate temperature… but who knows. But even so, the burger was underwhelming. Add that to a 45 minute wait & it just wasn’t worth it. There are many, many places I would wait even 2 hours for… but I probably won’t wait for Oscar Blues again. It could have just been a bad night for them, but from what I experienced, I’ll try my luck elsewhere & stick to their beer.

After giving in to the friends hype about«southern /Texas» food and being from Dallas and currently living in Houston; I thought OK… let’s see how this place is on Texas type cuisine. After finding the menu to be almost completely devoid of food we actually eat in Texas and that of our neighboring State, Louisiana. I remained interested in testing the foodie waters of Oskar Blues. Heck the place was packed… must be good, right? It was«fish fry» day(Thursday) and we sat at the bar. WRONG, WAYWRONG thing to do. Not only was the bar filthy the ONE guy working a completely full bar and filling drinks for the rest of the restaurant was a Titanic of a sinking ship. Overwhelmed, lacking in social skills, and maybe a little too much of the legal Hippie Lettuce contributed to a pathetic attempt at a lunch service. The«fish fry“contained some really old catfish which was not seasoned before battered and miserably over-fried. The fried okra(we know plenty about Okra in Texas and LA) came from a frozen bag which was evident by the lack of seasoning and moisture in the veggie itself. Net/Net: Anyplace that claims their food is Texas but has Cajun food spelled«Phở-Boy» for a Po-Boy on the menu should be avoided. BTW: The only reason I can ascertain why it was crowed is: It’s way out off the beaten path and people drink enough of their beer to get past the poorly comprised menu and tasteless food. I suppose it’s the same affect as «beer goggles’ which, after toooooo many beers, everyone looks attractive and here, specifically, too many beers makes the food palatable. My 2 cents. Greg T.

A down-home tavern with ample selection of American craft beers, serving Cajun-American-style menu. They also brew their own beers, which is very cool. Very popular hang-out place, so it gets crowded quickly, and gets really loud also, not a good place for business lunch/dinner but good place to hang out with your family/friends. Food portion is huge, and the service was pretty good. Read my full review of this restaurant and food on my food blog, foodlovergirl.

I work really close to the Oscar Blues Restaurant, so my co-workers and I frequent this place. I really enjoy their po-boys(the batter around the shrimp/oysters is really really good!). I also highly recommend the fried pickles. I generally dont like fried pickle spears(vs the pickle chips) but they dont use huge pickles, and the batter is so good they are hard not to like. What I really like about Oscar Blues is that they not only have their beer on tap, but they have other great beers on tap from other breweries! Great job Oscar Blues!

EXTREMELYDISAPPOINTING! I had been really looking forward to visiting this new Oskar Blues but wished I had stayed home. First, being a Friday night I thought it would be a smart move to call ahead to get on any wait list they might have. I phoned about 20 minutes prior to arriving and the girl on the phone talked to me like I was crazy. She told me reservations weren’t necessary and said there would be no wait. Once I arrived I was made to wait a half-hour. None of the employees seemed inviting or that they appreciated our business. My party and I asked to sit on the patio and we were given an inside table. If you’re a beer drinker there were many choices to drink but don’t order a mixed drink. The bar here pours mostly the mixer and forgets any alcohol. The food was decent but the portions made me feel like I was back in LA. I will definitely not be taking anyone here anytime soon.

This is one awesome brewery. I’m so grateful to them for putting on an amazing beer fest like Burning Can and giving me an excuse to come here every year. My favorite beer here is Gubna and it goes really well with their shrimp po boy. I’ve only been here on the weekend and there’s a wait to get a table but I think it’s well worth it. The interior and patio is very spacious which makes this an ideal place for a large party. There’s a live band that plays blues upstairs and the music is so good that I can’t help but dance until they close.

I had such high hopes for this place. Unfortunately service has served me very slowly all 3 times. Food is decent. Bbq is good, portion sizes are huge. But I’m really there for the beer! They really do have a great beer list, changes a lot, variety of IPAs. I guess in comparison to some other big name brewpubs and such I’ve been to, I expected a little more out of them. They’ve got some fantastic brewing companies and atmospheres to compete with. Will I be back? Sure! But it’s not on my top 5 breweries to check out with friends in town.

Good food: I thoroughly enjoyed the gumbo. Decent beer. The service lacked. You have to buy stickers here; which is kind of a slap in the face especially when you spend well over $ 50 in one visit.

Today I had the phở boy, which is the ingredients for phở on a po boy roll that you dip into phở broth. It was absolute heaven. I was floored.

We were suppose to be out hiking but the weather turned dark, rainy, and cloudy so we took the opportunity to explore the Boulder area instead. We were excited to see an Oskar Blues and decided to stop for some beers and an appetizer. The outside and inside are decorated pretty cool. It’s got a rustic brewery feel with a modern bro twist. First impression was that this is a cool hangout bar. The happy hour menu looked pretty cool with decent prices. Lots of yummy southern inspired eats like cheddar grits and shrimp, fried oysters and catfish, man I was getting pumped. We took a seat at the bar and the bar tender took 5 minutes to acknowledge us despite there being a solid 5 – 7 people total at the bar. We asked him for a food menu ans he looked annoyed and told us to wait. He finally brought us a menu after another 5 minutes… My patience was wearing thin especially considering he only managed to fill 2 beers for other people the whole time we were waiting. The final straw was when 2 guys came in and sat at the bar and the bar tender runs over to them and says«Gentlemen! How about a drink!» almost immediately. I wasn’t about to waste anymore time on a place where this guy was so blatantly bad at his job and ignoring us while catering to some guys who just walked in. We walked out. I will not be returning.

Nice restaurant, live music, lots of families with kids. Food was good, as was the service-reasonable price as well. A bit too much noise for conversation, but fun to hang out for a little while
