On my most recent visit to CO I went to Perky’s and found the doors locked. I have no idea why it shut down considering it was the best coffee joint in the Longmont area. Too bad…

This place has really great pastries and customer service. They are a tad pricey which doesn’t bother me so much because of it being a locally owner facility. What DID bother me, however, with the over pricing were the smoothies. They are extremely pricey for just being frozen yogurt and the fruit«flavors» that is just sugar and additives. This was EXTREMELY disappointing considering how far I think we have come with realizing the importance of fresh foods and not putting so much processed materials in our bodies. Honestly, once this thing about the shop is fixed it will be a 5 star. I will never get a smoothie from here again but everything else was superb. Very quick and friendly staff that will always have a smile on their face.

Nice local coffee shop that serves a descent amount of small bites throughout the day, pastries/desserts, and regular offerings of perky beverages for your buzz worthy pleasure. The shop is quaint with very homey mom & pop features. Indoor seating is limited but they do offer outdoor seating that can be a treat when the weather permits. The selection of sweets is ample and début some pretty rockin’ products made by local businesses. It’s definitely no Starbucks but that’s what makes this place a perfect joint to support without all the fake glitzy small talk one can encounter elsewhere. Pick up a cup of Java and something glucose-filled to wet your whistle. They serve Chanda Chai(YUM) and gluten free goodies. I think that’s a winning combo!

I am very rarely in Longmont, but I found myself there yesterday and by mid-afternoon everyone in our group was in dire need of caffeine. Perky’s did the trick– good espresso drinks at reasonable prices. My mocha had the option of white, milk, or dark chocolate, and the dark chocolate was great. I wasn’t hungry, but it looked like they had some good food options. It took a little while for the baristas to make our drinks, but it looked like they were a bit understaffed for an afternoon rush and they were friendly about it, so no complaints. A nice alternative to Starbucks. I’d go back if I’m ever in the neighborhood!

See it all the time, but this was the first time in. I was there for a quick business meeting, not the best place, tables are small and close together. However, everything else over shadows that small complaint: 3 options of small batch brewers of chai, 2 are local. I tried the Bhakti Spicy Chai, pretty good, but I make homemade chai every 5 days, so I’m biased… my chai wins, but it was still tasty. Lots of options for home baked goods, baguette sandwiches for $ 5 that sounded very tasty. I got the gluten free coffee cake on advise of the barista… delish! I would choose this over a standard coffee cake any day. Hand made chocolate, ice cream, small batch cookies, brownies, quiche, croissants… and I’ve been just driving by all these years?

Very impressed. Coffee(well executed), Gelato(!), sandwiches, bakery AND premium chocolate/candy section. Very friendly staff and excellent service(not something you get at every coffee shop). They even have great art for sale on the ‘art gallery’ wall. I’ll definitely be back.

loved place. staff friendly. interesting bakery selections. go go go and tell gals I said hi! Check out the ‘to go’ coffee mugs with tops that fit. I bought two and love them. Lots’ of complements from others. Get one with a handle if you decided to buy, the sides do get hot.

My recent rekindling affair with caffeine has led me to finding the local(ie. not starbucks, even thought they do make a mean latte) café. This place might be the closest to my house, so I had to try it. A nice nice on the street told me they made homemade cupcakes, seems to be a trend these days to make custom cupcakes, who knew that would become popular? Anyway, while I didn’t sample any, yet, they looked mighty tasty. I did however treat myself to a 3 shot espresso latte and one delicious ham and egg croissant. I like the fact they make everything in house, from quiche to cookies. It gives it more flair than a truck stopping by. Local art covers the quaint little place and the friendly staff is always a plus. I’ll have to try more of the menu and as of now that looks very doable with my open schedule. They open at 6am I believe which is way earlier than I’ll be stopping by, but it’s nice to know in case I’m ever up that late.

Just checking in here for the first time. Cute little place with lots of goodies. Cupcakes, pies, regular cakes, pastry bread, brownies, cookies and more for a sweet tooth. They also have quiche, empanadas, cheese plate and sandwiches for a savory minded person. Coffee is available hot or cold with several types and free refills for dining in. Tables are small and plugs aren’t easily found(I see one from my spot, on the wall by the front door) but the free wifi works well. Give it a shot and see what you think!

Perky’s is a great little coffee shop! They are the closest one to my work so that is very convenient! I have been meaning to try them but so far as far as coffee shops go in Longmont I have only been going to places on Francis Street and downtown. Glad I finally took the plunge on this and went in and tried them. I have been here twice now. The first time I was here I had a quiche with mushrooms in it which was to die for! I also had a chai and that was good too! I polished it off with a lemon bar which was very tasty! This last time I just wanted something sweet and bought a chocolate chip cookie. The guy behind the counter warmed it up slightly which made it so much better and much more yummier! That cookie experience pushed it right up next to the quiche as to how much I enjoyed it. Anyone that likes to scout out coffee shops should definitely go here and give this place a try!

I have been looking for a great local coffee place in Boulder County, and I’ve found it in Perky’s. Don’t let the shopping center exterior fool you — Perky’s is warm, welcoming, and has a small town vibe where you feel like you are a friend of the owner from the first time you meet him(which I just did – today)! The owner is incredibly friendly and uses a delicious hot coco blend that he makes himself. There are over 20 different bakers that contribute to the delicacies at Perky’s, including pie, queche, cakes, and more. Try the spelt cupcakes — Lemon is delicious! Free Wifi, soft music, and great location at 15th and Main Street in Longmont. My only complaint is the chairs could be more comfortable and even more larger tables for people to congregate to work or relax together. The coffee, treats, and atmosphere are enough to make anyone perky! Try it out ASAP.

Cold Saturday afternoon, a good book, and a warm cup of coffee? Warm summer evening, outdoor seating, and gelato? How about a slice of homemade pie and ice cream? All can be found at Perky’s for prices cheaper than at other local coffee shops. The owner is friendly and ready to tell you about all the homemade goodies and provide samples of gelato. We’ll be back soon!
