I’ve been visiting this pool for years and, up until a few years ago, I’d always enjoyed it. Their pool is pretty decent sized and they have great diving boards and a huge slide. Recently, however, I’ve noticed that the pool gets unbearably crowded during the summer. That alone doesn’t come as a surprise, but the issue is that the vast majority of the kids come with camps or a daycare. The kids end up outnumbering the chaperons, and since most of these kids are old enough to swim on their own, it ends up being a huge headache for the rest of us. I’ve had bigger kids trample me or the little girl I brought and I’ve had to scold middle schoolers for using shockingly inappropriate language more than once(I probably sound like an old grump, but that’s one of my pet peeves, especially when I have little kids with me.) If you can help it, unpack your swim bag at another pool. Although most will be crowded, public pools such as Scott Carpenter in Boulder are much more pleasant.
