Wonderful experience! Staff was super friendly and performed at a high level of customer satisfaction. They even walked my purchase out to my car.

I heard about the great pies they sell and had to try one to see what the hype was about. A butcher shop that sells great pies, sounded pretty strange to me. We tried a blueberry one for $ 15.99, you have to bake it yourself at home. Amazingly everyone loved it, really good crust and plenty of blueberries that were just the right sweetness. I would give it 5 stars except for the price seemed a little high considering you have to bake it yourself. Maybe 4.5 stars for me, highly recommend as we became believers after having one.

Your Butcher Frank has great meats in the case, but if you order over the phone or don’t see the meat they will try to give you the worst cut of meat. Don’t trust him for your holiday roast you are likely to be surprised when you open up the packaging. Always look before you buy!

Just got 2 sandwiches from here. Very happy with them! Friendly, helpful staff. Good bread, great ingredients and tons of meat. Stoked to try their other sandwiches and cuts of meat.

Excellent butcher, but it loses one star since this is an extremely unclean spot. I don’t like seeing that much grime all over the place when I’m buying food, it’s a big turn off.

This place makes THEBESTSANDWICHES in Longmont, nothing else comes close. The meats are good too, there are some long time butchers working there and friendly . I guess I use it as a sandwich shop mostly, as those sandwiches are killer good and very reasonable price wise. Gary

Soooooo good. They’re sirloins are top notch. I wasn’t going to be around Longmont so tried a butcher in Loveland, way more fat and not nearly as tender. Can’t wait to try more cuts.

Love YBF! Can’t beat the selection of beef, pork, chicken, etc. I love being able to buy a huge slab of uncut bacon to smoke! So glad to have this place close to my second home! ALSO… They make huge subs and have an awesome selection of hot sauces, bbq sauces, and rubs! A local’s favorite!

For about the same price as a Subway sandwich, YBF will make you a delicious sandwich that doesn’t skimp on meat! You have to get the 8-inch; it’s only 50 cents more than the 6-inch. These sandwiches are stuffed with so much good stuff that when they hand it to you, it feels like there’s a brick in the bag. I love this place.

The Italian sandwich should be renamed the Dagwood. In dedication to Dagwood Bumstead this is the most stiffed meatiest sandwich I have ever had yet. $ 9 for the 8″ Italian sandwich. Only the carnivores should enjoy its 78% meat, 2% veggies, and 20% bread. It’s a quality carnivore sandwich with no regards to general good tasting sandwich. Recommend the sandwich solely for the value. It reminds me like a wal mart sandwich but with premium ingredients

I am impressed! I’ve never had so MUCH meat on my sandwiches before. These sandwiches can definitely last you 2 meals. Like other comments here, this place serves one of the best Italian subs out there. You will never leave hungry. I’ve never had a bad sandwich here. Everything I’ve ever gotten was delicious.

This review is strictly based on my experience with the deli. I second a lot of similar comments on here. This place is plain«OK». In a nutshell, there is way too much meat in the sub that any topping is easily overshadowed(over flavored) by the bland /neutral flavor of the deli meat. As others mentioned, there is A LOT of meat in the sandwich. Unless you order it with extra mayo, spicy mustard,(insert sauce of choice), it’s really not that enjoyable. The bread is also ok, at best. I think if the bread was baked fresh(seemed a little too dry /stale for me), this place would’ve gotten 3 starts. Hope that helps.

Longmonts Local Butcher Franks has some great packaged deals for meat. They advertise heavily & reap the benefits of a steady(& growing) following. I’ve purchased about 4 big packages here and was fairly satisfied with the outcome of the meat. I do have to say that while some of the meat we have encountered were nice cuts– I was a bit disappointed with a good amount that were riddled with fat. It made for some unhappy steak eaters. I would not have been so bogged down about it if I didn’t just spend over $ 200 in premium cuts. I’m not sure who I need to sauce up or what exactly to say in order to get those perfect pieces in my trove of meaty goodies. Aside from all that, their brats are tasty and would not mind buying a whole chain link of them for an easy party fix. The miscellaneous items like sauces, chips, bread, & other frozen foods is a nice touch. I purchased one of those frozen pies in their cold case and it wasn’t too shabby. Franks also has a little deli where you can purchase sandwiches and such. I have yet to try them but I have heard some pretty good things about them. I’ll be back but I will be asking more questions when I order a huge freezer full of meats to stock up. I still recommend this place.

Like everyone else has said, the sandwiches really are huge here. If you get the 8 inch you’re easily getting two meals in one, fit for a big eater. I got the 6 inch smoked turkey on white and it was also very big, jam packed with turkey. Problem was, the turkey was bland and the sandwich overall was markedly under-seasoned. Definitely needed more mayo, for sure. I ate half and my husband ate the other half later in the day. I thought it was just OK. In summation, even though prices are a bit higher than other sandwich shops, you do get a lot of food for the money, though it’s not the most flavorful food in the world.

Frank, whoever you are, you aren’t helping with my diet. Your workers fatten up the sandwiches with tons of meat. A large is enough to feed the hungriest of people… twice. Your selection of meats is amazing. You own a convenience store too. What? The above says it all. Good, large sandwiches for cheap, enough for two meals. Tons of meat selections if you’re looking to throw something on the grill, and there’s convenience store items(rubs, chips, drinks, etc.) sold here.

This place rocks! The service is great and the selection is spectacular. I never thought I would be one of those people who went to the butcher for anything, but here I am! I know anything I buy at Frank’s will be quality and absolutely delicious. Try their Rib Eye steaks. Yum! An absolute gem in Longmont! I guess my only critique is that it can get very busy and hectic in there at times. But that’s how you know it’s good stuff. :)
