Absolutely terrible service. I will not ever come back because of the waitress. Every time we asked for something it was like we were bothering her and she was very short about everything. If you go you better pray you don’t get the woman with short hair!

We had very mixed feelings about this place. We were really craving sushi & thought we’d give it a try. The calamari tasted rubbery & the breading was thick & bland. We tried the cucumber special roll, spicy tuna roll, Philadelphia roll, & volcano roll. The volcano roll was good but the rest of the rolls tasted like grocery store sushi. Not bad but bland. Just meh. Our server was friendly & funny but also seemed very overwhelmed for only having one other table. He took a long time bringing things & forgot a few things but his friendliness made up for that. One of the beers he brought to the table was completely frozen & he mentioned that when he brought it. I felt like if he knew it was frozen he should’ve gotten another one instead of bringing it or asked if we wanted anything else instead. It had to melt a while before it was drinkable. Overall, the whole experience wasn’t really horrible but definitely not worth the money.

Possibly the worst sushi/sashimi I’ve ever had. Mushy and old like it had be frozen and refrozen. Other items in our group were just was bad. Slimy shrimp, even the salad dressing was bad.

We love jays in longs. We go there probably once a week. The best hibachi at the beach hands-down. Sushi is wonderful we recommend Jay’s roll and spicy tuna roll never let down. So fresh. You can tell the staff are very hard workers and they take pride in the restaurant. Enjoy seeing the same people every time and always make us feel welcome as they always remember us. I would Recommend this place to anyone.

We went to jays for sushi. We wanted our favorite roll but it wasn’t on the menu. Our waiter said that they could make anything that we wanted and made a really delicious roll.(We had the salmon rum and tekka maki roll inside out with avacado and cream cheese). The food was fresh and we really enjoyed the service. We will definitely come back next time we visit myrtle beach.

Talk about a hidden gem. I’m from the north east and I’m telling you, we take our Japanese, Chinese and Thai very seriously. This place is terrific. We tried a bit of everything and nothing left us disappointed. Incredible. You must try the Valentine Roll, Baby octopus appetizer, Jay’s salad –very similar to a Kani salad but more spicy and different fish, and Thai Duck(I put the curry sauce on the side and it was perfect to dip). Our server, who may have been the owner not sure, was so knowledgeable and helpful with the menu. He was so friendly! YOUMUSTMAKE A STOPHERE! The place was very casual, but the food could easily sit in a five star NYC restaurant. We’ll be back for sure!

Love this place! The food is great! I tend to be picky about sushi but I love theirs. Their sushi and hibachi is fresh, restaurant is clean and service is great!

Previously I rated this place based on its Pad Thai, which is not good. I went back to try the non-Thai portion of the menu. The sushi is excellent and there is one waiter in particular that is probably the best I have ever seen. Very courteous, attentive enough and nice. The edamame is delicious!

Jays has very good food and service. Small private room in back for parties. Everything I have tasted has been outstanding.
