So this place has a special place in my heart strickt because we use to go hear as a child with my mom. It was always very fancy items and I loved it. But now a days like all the other reviews it stinks. The prices r stupid crazy I’d rather buy them full retail and new for few bucks more. Yes there is beautiful stuff in there but that doesn’t mean u want to buy it… So much had awful damages that weren’t with repair but the still want like 75% of the full retail price!!! No thank you

SCAM. This place WAS an awesome place to shop in the late 90’s and up to about 2011. However, in recent years the selection of their merchandise has dwindled terribly and the prices have increased significantly. Now, most of the shoes are worn and the sizes are miss-matched, or so damaged that no one could even wear them(or be fixed). The selection of namebrand clothing has also diminished. Most of the clothes are several seasons old(some flat out of style) have stains or hardware missing or holes & rips in them– yet the prices are not much lower than what the retail price would be at Neiman’s Last Call. You have to be very careful when you shop here as sometimes you do not notice the flaws until you get home… And NORETURNS. I have reason to believe that all of the good merchandise that they get from Neiman’s is reserved for the members of the Junior League(that run the store) and their immediate friends and relatives. So really, you are digging through the leftovers and damaged merchandise that has been picked through by at least two or three sets of people before it is placed in their store. Everything here is final sale– no returns no exchanges no exception. And in order to make a credit card purchase you must spend at least $ 50. The clothing section of the store is also very disorganized. If they really wanted to make more money(granted it’s a NPO) then they should at least sort the clothes by size… But suppose the motivation isn’t there. The hours of operation are also very independent. They are only open until 4:30 during the week and close early on Saturdays. For holidays the volunteers will take an entire week off so you have to keep up with the holiday hours– I suggest calling ahead before driving far to shop here.

Gross Inflation. On my last trip in Jan., I was amazed to see an H&M DIVIDED(lower line) top priced out at $ 70. The H&M tag was cut out, but the red size label was a telltale marker. It was a simple short sleeve black cotton blouse. Likely used, likely originally sold for $ 19.90. My mom introduced me to this store 12 years ago. Back when that Kate Spade black box bag was coveted, back when everything was a flat $ 30. Then eventually $ 40, then aggregated at $ 40-$ 100+ I found great formal separates here for a school dance, oh and the shoes. There was an over the knee pair of patent Chanel nude/black boots going for $ 40? years ago that I still rue for skipping. A Prada small luggage case for $ 300ish… It’s not uncommon for shoes to look very very worn, or to be sold for an exorbitant price regardless of it’s irreparable condition. Now there are still great gems and better designers carried(Lanvin, Balenciaga, Burberry, Stella McCartney, Philip Lim, Louboutin). It’s still not terribly picked over. While the store is stocked with Neiman Marcus goods of seasons past, it’s uncertain if the current pricing is reflective of their deal with NM. The Barneys warehouse sale gives BB a run for the $. Overall, it’s sometimes a bargain, occasionally the price is right, and a nice resource in the town.

What a bummer! I’ve heard about this store about 10+ years ago… and have always wanted to visit, just never found an opportunity to hit Longview, TX until this work trip. Boy, was I bummed! I was told(again probably like 10+ yrs ago) that this store had CRAZY bargains all from Neiman Marcus. Specifically, I was told that it had rows and rows of all high-end designer shoes for none more than $ 30.00.(wrong. or atleast not anymore.) The concept of the store is good… and certainly has good will. From my understanding, all items are returns or out-of-season items from Neiman Marcus and then marked down; and then all profits benefit the local Longview Junior Leage. That part is cool. BUT prices were not a bargain nor a steal, by any means. I would rather shop at a Neiman Marcus Last Call. Shoes were still $ 100+, cosmetics were still $ 40+… homewares were still pricey. And I didn’t even bother looking at the clothes. I suppose I could have found some bargains, but I was pretty bummed. Maybe I’ve just been building this place more and more in my head after all these years. Oh well! Again, the prices are definitely less than purchasing in the department store… but I would rather just buy something new or go to NM Last Call. Sorry!
