I think this is my first review — ever!!! We had a GREAT experience with Carl’s team. The nice young lady I dealt with over the phone(Shawnie?) was so helpful and polite. My husband said the tow guy was quick & knowledgeable. My husband’s fully loaded 26 foot truck stopped 50 miles from the nearest mechanic shop. They towed it without any issues and worked with us on the price, too. It is so nice to know that in time of need there are still good people /companies out there who will help and NOT take advantage of the situation. Thank you, Carl’s!

Josh was well within his rights to laugh his ass off at the stranded city girl with a burned out electric car way out in southern Washington, but instead he was a complete professional, got my rental safely attached to his flat bed, and drove us both back to the Portland airport for a new vehicle. I was worried I’d be waiting for an hour, but a quick call to the towing company assured me they tell everyone it will be an hour wait just in case. Josh got there in twenty minutes, shortly after I hung up and it was a quick and easy ride back to PDX. Hope I don’t get stranded again, but glad these guys were there for me!

Is Carl’s Towing a real tow company? After breaking down in Chehalis, we called AAA for roadside assistance at 12:05am. They said a truck from Carl’s would arrive to tow us 87 miles within 60 minutes. After 80 minutes elapsed, we called AAA to check on the truck. They said it was en route, that they’d call Carl’s and check on an E.T.A., and 20 minutes later, told us it would be another 40 minutes. Then half an hour later, we got an automated call from AAA indicating it would be another 40 minutes. After another hour went by, we called AAA again. Apparently, Carl’s sent out a truck that wouldn’t be capable of towing our particular car, and they’d sent another out that should arrive«within 20 to 25 minutes.» 45 minutes later, we called to ask about the truck. «It’s going to be another 40 to 45 minutes.» Since I don’t appreciate being on the wrong end of a möbius loop where a service keeps being promised then never arrives, we cancelled the call. We spent an expensive overnight in a Chehalis motel. The next morning, we called AAA again and repeated our call for roadside assistance. A truck arrived from an In-town tow company about an hour later, and the driver got us back to our original intended tow destination in reasonable time. Best of all, the truck actually arrived, instead of just being a mythical invisible truck sent by «Carl’s Towing»(if there really is any such place). AVOID, if you want to get anywhere in the current decade. There are other tow companies who will show up and get the job done, but to my experience, Carl’s is a joke, a waste of time and a giant pain in the ass, since we spent hours waiting for an imaginary driver to show up. If there was a way to give fewer than one star, or to make that one star stink like a pile of dung, I would do so here, to more accurately indicate the odor of «Carl’s Towing.»
