I have eaten at Chill’um numerous times and every time it has been great. Masala is my favorite dish along with chickpea salad and babaganoush. Sometimes the service is slow.

Just one word, DELICIOUS! Nice dining atmosphere, everything was cooked to perfection. Ohh, don’t forget to ask for Chai, what a great finish to the lunch! Server Michelle was very welcoming and nice.

The food was absolutely wonderful! It’s not very authentic, more like a fusion. It’s a bit pricey, but the lamb kebobs and the salads are very fresh and flavorful.

I will have to say I was surprised to find an Indian restaurant here in East Texas and I was even more surprised that it was so good. We had the Indian street food and the tikka masala. Both were quite tasty. I will have to say I was disappointed with the naan. I am pretty sure it was store bought. Our waiter was friendly. Overall it was a good experience! I am excited to see that Longview is branching out from the typical chain restaurants. I recommend giving this one a try!

Great selection … no comparison in this area. Very classy place but completely accommodating. Branch out & try something new, you won’t be disappointed.

Mediterranean — Indian restaurant has come to Longview that in it’s self gets a star. I’d been wanting to try it the first time I heard about it. They close on Monday night which seem to be the only night we’d remember to try it. It took us a while to get there, but glad we did. We had the Indian Street Food to get us started, it was yummy and I was full by the time my Lamb dish came. The lamb was good, but I’d had a hard time stopping eating the crunchy Indian Street Food(which came with two dips, both good). The Nan-bread with the lamb sauce, oh my. So, so rich and good. My husband ordered the special of the night, which I’ve nicknamed«Heman Plater». It came with 3 kabobs(beef, chicken, & grilled shrimp), beef gyro a chicken leg and grilled fish fillet(it was a white fish, I forget what kind). My favorite was the Tamarind Sauce, our waitress has me wanting to pick up some Tamarind Fruit and try it. Speaking of our waitress, Raven made my review a 5 star review. She did a wonderful job, meeting our dinning needs, she was professional, yet gave that personal touch that makes a good meal, exceptional. Knowing her dishes, she was able to help us make choices that make us very happy with our meal. My only complaint is we ordered way too much food, I was too full after the Indian Street Food to fully enjoy my lamb. However I sure will enjoy it for lunch tomorrow. Raven did warn us that we were going to have«take-home», she did also care enough to ask if anything was wrong with the lamb when she noticed I’d not eaten very much of it. Most wait staff wouldn’t have even noticed, nor cared to ask. Thank you Raven for making our first visit to Chillum Grill a wonderful night out. If you decide to give Chillum Grill a try(and you should) be sure to ask for Raven. I always say the wait staff has a lot to do with if you enjoy your meal.

Well, I never thought I would eat Mediterranean food that was 5 stars in East Texas. I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and the attentiveness of the waitstaff and that everything was clean. I started off with an appetizer that was more than enough and it had seasoning and diddle heat that made me want just that for dinner. For the main course I had the waiter recommend lamb dish that was a pleasant surprise with all of the different flavors that allowed you to truly experience an amazing mean. I would definitely recommend if your ready for a break from burgers and pizza.

The only thing odder than longview having its first Mediterranean/Indian restaurant in a converted Jehovah’s Witness church is the fact that this place started in Hallsville. The verdict — it pleasantly exceeded my expectations. Now, let’s start with the fact that I lowered my expectations going in… really low. When you do that, it’s easy not to be too disappointed. First, let’s talk about the décor. It is a little like a girl who wears too much makeup. Looks okay, but you know behind all that war paint, there’s something very modest going on underneath it all. Everything is a little too open. You’re a bit too close to the tables near you. If you inspect everything closely, you will get the sense that you are in a modular building that could double as a Sunday school annex(which I believe it was). The décor and atmosphere, however, did not deter from the dining experience(that much). Now, on to the food. We had the Aloo Tikki appetizer. It is sort of like a thick potato pancake. It was good. The hummus with naan bread was excellent. My daughter had the grilled chicken panini and I had the mixed grill. We both enjoyed them very much. I recommend the dipping sauces for the meat and chicken dishes. The service was fine. Our waitress was nice and relatively expedient but had a very serious look about her. Made me kind of on edge. It looks like one of the owners is very hands on and involved. I was pleasantly surprised when I got the bill. Two appetizers and two entrees for under $ 50. If this restaurant were in a big city, I would say it was average but for longview, it is very good for the kind of food you get. I look forward to going back and trying different things. Smiley face!

I have travelled all over the U.S. and overseas. I’ve lived on be west coast. I’m a huge fan of Indian food. Most places are sub par. I was skeptical to eat Indian food in Longview. We stopped at Chillum for lunch. The inside is very nice. My wife ordered the Masala chicken, I ordered the butter chicken. We were both pleased with the flavor and consistency. I would definitely recommend this place!
