Overall, not impressed. Crawfish cheese fries were the highlight of the evening(very good despite the gray color). Service was slow and uninformed even though it was not busy. Main course was so so. I had eggplant dish which was bland, could have had more sauce on the pasta. Husband had veal dish which was over fried and heavily breaded again, not enough sauce to pasta ratio. Desserts looked good but we were ready to leave so didn’t stick around to try them out. Not going to rush back to this place anytime soon.

How to begin recently read a statement from mr. Copeland’s of New Orleans which stated they strive to serve authentic hometown New Orleans taste and ambiance two guests who enjoyed truly exceptional food and hospitality how wrong he is of the Copeland’s of New Orleans in Longview recently went to Copeland’s here in Longview we first tried it nine months ago and gave it a 3-star rating due to the quality of service and food so we had decided to try it again after trying to nine months later hoping that the overall service and quality of food and service had improved but again I was disappointed and I am giving it a 2 star rating we went in at 12:30 on a Tuesday thinking that there would be a good time to see how it was when we got there the place was two-thirds empty we were seated very quickly and and our server waitress asked us for our drink order and produce our menus we were served or two glasses of water and that was the last that we saw of our waitress until we receive the bill we ordered the stuffed mushrooms for appetizer a cup of corn and crab bisque my wife ordered the eggplant alfredo I ordered the stuffed shrimp alfredo the appetizers came out and the structure into a very good then the main course came out I’m still waiting for the corn and crab bisque which never came out both dishes came out warm the Alfredo sauce on both the dishes were more of a Cajun style alfredo sauce than a traditional alfredo sauce the shrimping my dish with the size of popcorn the shrimping both dishes tasted like they had been soaked overnight in a salt brine overall we were very disappointed in the meal for the price that we paid I would recommend going someplace else to spend that cash I have read other reviews on this location in whenever they respond they respond and they respond in a pre-written statement by the corporation do they really really care about improving their business if they did they would take some of these comments or should I say negative comments and trying to improve it upper management may need to go to lower management this location to see if it can be improved

I would give this less than one star if it were possible. I am currently on leave and my parents wanted to take me and my family out to a good dinner to a place that they loved to go. We waited 30 minutes to be seated which is really not an issue. The issue came when we sat for 15 minutes at our table with not so much as a look in our direction from the wait staff. I brought this to the hostess’ attention, and she went and contacted the waiter that was in charge of our section. Of course this was all after that same waiter refilled the table’s drinks next to us and then cleared the empty plates from the other table in our section. Out of 10 tables in the section, there were only three groups with us included. When our group decided to leave, the manager came and tried to convince us to stay. Quite forcibly I might add. I understand trying to keep attendance at your establishment, but when you grab my mother’s arm and then follow us out into the parking lot that crosses the line. I will be pushing this issue up higher than the local establishment. This was easily taken as an escalation of aggression. Truly an unhappy experience.

A group of 4 of us dined here Sunday night and it was a very enjoyable evening. We were seated right away. The restaurant is clean, bright, and has a variety of elegant architecture. It is large too! They can really turn some tables. We did not opt for any appetizers, but every single one of them sounded appealing. They do bring out biscuits and I’m sure they are delicious, but I couldn’t bring myself to eat something literally dripping with butter. For an entrée, I had the grilled chicken and yams. The chicken was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The sweet potatoes with a brown sugar/pecan glaze offset the savory chicken. The onion strings on top were a little much, so I just pushed them to the side. The portion size was very generous. I was sadly too full for dessert! Next time, I think I will just come and have a slice of the carrot cake. It looked to die for. One of our friends had the strawberry cheesecake and was licking the plate. Service was great, food was great, pricing was a little expensive(but we weren’t paying!) don’t expect to eat healthy here(though there were a couple of healthy items identified on the menu) since everything is just too tempting!

I had the tomato basil chicken and pasta. Really good. I prefer this type of noodle sauce that is oil with chopped tomatoes. It’s not over salted and has a lite elegant flavor. Would have liked a piece of bread though. Also happy hour $ 5 martini helped. Will be back. Not sure why the bad reviews as Copelands is a good restaurant.

The food is great, BUT the customer service is the one of the worst I have ever experienced. My family ate at Copeland’s tonight and could not believe how poor the service was. Our server walked circles around our table but any time we needed something we would have to get his attention. My tea glass sat empty for a good 20 minutes and I eventually had to ask a server from another table to fill it. My mom ordered the soup of the day, was told it had to be cooked, and 30 minutes later had not received it. She flagged down our server, asked him to cancel the soup, we watched him tell the manager that we never received it, and then we were charged for the soup. The manager came to our table, did not offer any type of apology or explanation, and then walked away. Others in our section seemed equally as frustrated as we were. This was not the first time I had a negative experience at this location. I’m from Longview and was excited to see that we were getting a Copeland’s, but I know if the service continues to be this bad that the restaurant will not last.

As a Unilocaler(for just over five years), I use the app almost exclusively to help me decide where my next meal will come from. The reviews for this Copeland’s location seem to run the spectrum, despite the overall high rating, so I was a bit nervous when we decided to patronize the place this week for lunch. My nerves were soon settled by our server. And by the time I took my first bite of the appetizer, I was in La-La Land. I’ve been to other Copeland’s locations through the years(mostly Shreveport and one in southern Louisiana — it seems like it was within 30 minutes of Abita Springs), and have very high expectations of the place. It’s upscale enough that you feel like you should be on a prom date — Champagne hues accented with burnished woods — yet it’s casual in a New Orleans sort of way — whether you’re wearing shorts or slacks, you’ll fit right in. The service, at least on my lone visit here, was impeccable. From the hostess seating us, to the server’s(Ron was his name) intimate knowledge of everything on the menu. Of course, the presentation was also beautiful. It’s the food that makes Copeland’s a destination though. As usual, I ordered the Eggplant Pirogue, and it didn’t disappoint. The eggplant was cooked crisp and the pasta al dente. The Gulf shrimp were succulent. This time though, I also ordered the Crab-stuffed Beignets. My, oh my! Though we went in without the intention of ending the meal on a sweet note, I was suckered in by the thought of Bananas Foster. Copeland’s is known for its cheesecake, which is divine, but the Bananas Foster gets there. I’m one to let everyone know how the cow ate the cabbage when it comes to everything about a restaurant experience. Copeland’s though… They deserve only my praise.

Very disappointed. Food was subpar and scarce for the price. I had crab stuffed catfish. The menu highlighted a sauce and there was none. It was very dry. Also mentioned vegetable jambalaya which consisted of three pieces of okra and one piece of carrot. Hubby had shrimp ettoufe. Very scarce plate. Maybe one cup of rice and one cup ettoufe. Little sauce. Not enough to cover the rice. Tried to order bread pudding, but they said it wasn’t ready. Won’t go back.

I really enjoyed reading here! My 1st time going and it’s very nice on the inside. The waitress was really nice and did great. I had the Blackened Chicken and it came with Vegetable Jamabalya and one side of your, which I got the red potatoes. They were mashed and you can taste the Cajun seasoning they boiled it in. Great place to go with family!

Very disappointed in that I was misled as to their hours today. I called this morning and asked when they would be closing today — Christmas Eve. Was told they would close at 6PM. I get there at 4:30PM and the parking lot is totally empty. I still park and walk to front door and there is a sign stating that they closed at 3PM. I was going to eat there and then take food from there to my mother in a nursing home. She was looking forward to having this food for her Christmas Eve dinner. We were both disappointed because we had called ahead to verify hours. Had to settle for fast food for dinner. What a let down for the holiday!!! Wish I could post –0– stars!!!’

Beautiful new restaurant, decent service, and quality product. Seems to be popular with Longview residents, as their was a crowd in the lobby area at 7PM on a Tuesday night. I had a cup of gumbo to start and the chicken parmigiana as my entrée, both were very good. We finished off with the red velvet cheesecake. AMAZING! Our waiter Drew, was attentive to our needs and kept our glasses full, but didn’t know what salad dressings were available. Maybe just need more/better training on what is on the menu. As well as, etiquette on how to place a plate of gumbo in front of the person that ordered it, instead of passing it across the table like the food runner did. Overall, it was a decent dining experience and I will return.

Getting better. This was my third meal from the new Copelands in Longview. The first was disappointing. Small expensive and not very good flavor. The second time I had lunch soup and salad. It was better. Tonight I had the crab and shrimp salad. It was very good. The service has been good. I hope both continue to improve.

The word that best describes eating here for lunch is, «creamy.» JG score of 6⁄10(+2 for food, +2 for atmosphere, 0 for price, 0 for no Diet Dr Pepper, 0 for service and +2 for we look forward to returning) Three of us went: «J» and«G» and a visiting foodie, James. Our favorite item was dessert actually, the White Chocolate Bread Pudding… it was delicious. The other dessert we got, the Pumpkin Cheesecake, was good but did not compare to the bread pudding. Mentioning dessert first is not to say we did not like the meal itself. Really, all the food was tasty and creamy and good. We all agreed that this place and its food is so good that we would probably like anything here. Cajun Gumbo Ya Ya, Crab Stuffed Beignets, Crabmeat Ravioli, Eggplant Pirogue, and Crabcake with Shrimp Alfredo were our entrees and all good and would all be easy to get again… it would be useless to describe all these in detail, they were all worth trying. We even cleaned our plates of all the sauces with the very buttery biscuits… all of the food here is delicious. It would be hard to work here! The atmosphere is very nice. It just has a good vibe to all of it. Classy but casual. A touch of elegance yet not stuffy. We really liked the whole place. This food, this place= the price will be over $ 15 but is well worth it here for the food and the experience. No Diet Dr Pepper, only Diet Coke. The service was nice and typical and friendly. We could easily go here over and over again!

Nice atmosphere, beautiful restaurant and a friendly staff. They have a nice selection of food and deserts. I had the Red Beans and Rice with andouille sausage. One of my favorite dishes. And it was just ok. The Red Beans were bland and the andouille sausage did not have the flavor i would expect. It tasted more like eckrich sausage and it was charred on the outside. If you want Red Beans and Rice here in Longview, go to Dudleys.

We really enjoyed our first visit here. Misti the bartender was great and we will be returning because of her excellent service. We ate from the small plates. Hubby had steak labouchere and I had the crab ravioli. So good.
