Outstanding food in relaxed setting I loved the crawfish enchiladas and their deserts were delish!

This is my favorite Cajun place. Really like the atmosphere and the food is always top notch. Not as spicy as you might expect in a Cajun place, but always great flavor.

I went for lunch. I had the lunch bowl of gumbo. These people know how to make gumbo! It was delicious. The service was prompt, our server polite and efficient, and the food came very quickly. The bread and slaw that accompanied our main dish were delicious. The price of the lunch items were reasonable.

Strong suggestions to come here while traveling through on business. I’m a Cajun fanatic. Ordered the Chicken Gumbo to go, cost $ 10.01. It was okay. The issue was that it was $ 10 for half of a pint, a small cup. Still confused and just kinda bummed out by my experience. I called back and it looks like they gave me a cup when I actually paid for a bowl. I’m staying 30 minutes and too busy to drive back over this, but it’s frustrating that they mis-served me.

I went to Dudley’s because the local Starbucks barista recommended it as one of the best local restaurants in town. There is a sign as you walk in that explains restricted seating. The dining area is pretty small so they ask that you come in complete groups. I came by myself but the gentleman that seated me did not seem to mind too much. I ordered the lunch special, the Crawfish meat pie with jambalaya. It arrived in good time considering they were already so busy. It was hot, spicy, and delicious. The wait staff was shorthanded but my waiter did a good job and even sent me off with my drink to go. The only thing that bothered me is I gave him $ 21 so that I would receive a $ 10 bill back. He gave me back a $ 5 bill and 5 ones. This defeated the purpose and made it look like he didn’t expect me to tip him(to be clear, I did tip). This minute detail was offputting but in no way reflects the restaurant. I definitely recommend eating here if you stop through Longview, TX.

The crawfish étouffée is delicious and so was the fried shrimp. It is a little pricy but they really do have good food!

This is by far the best Cajun food in Longview. The Hank Williams Sr. is a must try.

This place is the standard to which I compare all Cajun food. It cannot be beat. Their sausage is delectable and I love the coarse mustard they serve with it the étouffée is incomparable to anywhere else. I’ve never had bad food here and I think between all my family members and I we have tried everything on the menu. Everything has always been wonderful. This location has been open forever and it’s always worth the wait if there is one. Don’t forget the banana pudding, it is to die for!!!

Stopped in on our way back from Shreveport. Good selection and very reasonable prices. The slaw was fantastic as was our entire meal. Owner stopped by to chat… very friendly.

Yes. Yes. Just YES! Had a crawfish pie smothered in étouffée over dirty rice. Tasted as amazing as it sounds. Very quick, hospitable staff during the work lunch hour. Had to happily fight off a food coma the rest of the day. Completely worth it!

The owner himself was incredibly rude. Our first time to the restaurant and he came by our table and forced us to order as soon as we sat down because«they wanted to close early.» I’m sorry. Owning a business can be a bit inconvenient. When I drop 155 bucks on dinner, I expect decent service. Next time lock the door.

This place is the best! Seriously my fave Cajun food ever. You have to get the crawfish étouffée! The fried rolls are unforgettable. A must try when in Longview.

Take it from this true blue Cajun. This is not authentic Cajun cuisine. Who makes Crawfish étouffée with Brown gravy mix? Sha, everybody knows it’s made with tomato gravy. If you looking for Cajun that closely resembles the real thing, go to Cajun Steamer by Target. They are legit.

Small restaurant with mainly 4 top tables. It’s very casual — it has kind of a hole in the wall /beach vibe. The staff was attentive and friendly. I arrived at 6pm and was proceeded by the dinner rush. It appears by the sign outside that they usually have a wait but patrons are reminded that tables turn fast and to be patient. I was greeted with complimentary cole slaw. I scoured the menu but was unable to make up my mind. I opted for the blackened crawfish tails & put them on a side salad– it was delicious! They were tender, seasoned just right and the portion was perfect. I ordered the fried oyster 6 pc appetizer. They were good… slightly in the smaller side but still had a good flavor. The waiter even threw in a couple of hush puppies. I prefer my hush puppies a little sweeter but they were cooked right. I noticed they had boiled crawfish and they looked to be a good size but I didn’t partake. The bread pudding with rum sauce was great. It was about 3×3 in and cooked to perfection. I believe they substituted walnuts instead of raisins which made it even better! I will def return when passing through town.

2nd time to see the new menu. Good selections and readable format. Trying to go low carb so I can’t get what looks the very best to me. Nothing fried, no rice, etc. Never been disappointed so I’m going with Blackened catfish/shrimp combo. I’ve never had blackened catfish-only fried. I’m not that big on slaw-at least what is slung in BBQ joints but this slaw & full of flavor & a little bite of black pepper. Good stuff! Nice plate! Catfish is a solid substitute for Redfish when blackened. Quality fish & nice but small shrimp. Spicy without smoking you. I got red beans, no rice. The red beans are complex with nice spices & sausage and salt pork for flavoring. They are also great. OK, I cheated & ate one jalapeño hush puppy. It was a little doughy. Couple seconds more in the fryer would have been better. As usual a great meal at Dudley’s. Consistently great so I’ll give it the coveted 5-star review!

We were in town for the evening, looking for a good place for dinner. After reading the reviews, we tried it! AWESOME food. We started with a cup of their slaw, complimentary. We then ordered a couple of foreign beers and our dinner. She had two blackened crab cakes… to die for… along with red beens and rice. I had étouffée and fried crawfish tails. SODARNGOOD. The wait staff was great, too! Highly recommended this place.

Very good gumbo! Friendly staff! We came 10 minutes til closing(which is obnoxious on our part!) we had just left baseball practice! They still let us come in and eat and were very pleasant to us! Everything was fresh and delish!
