Microtel Inn & Suites

When we pulled up, I said to my husband «oh, it looks nice.» And the lot is. It’s clean. There’s a pool (closes Oct 1^st despite temperatures however). The lobby is nice and clean as well. The rooms are pretty standard but fine. One room smelled like mildew however. The microwave and fridge are handy. Here’s the problem: the staff. My husband, 6 month old daughter and I stayed 3 nights. When we got in the room and turned on the tv, it didn’t work. We called the from desk for some help after attempting basic troubling shooting. The lady seemed annoyed and defeated immediately, stating that she doesn’t know how to work it. We said that we’d like to change rooms then and she told us that she’d have to call the owner? We were confused. Why isn’t there a manager? Anyway, she was snarky on the phone to him in front of us. He said he’d be there in 5 minutes so we waited. Did I mention she was walking around in her socks? He showed shortly and was kind. He had no issue changing our room. We contained to have similar issues the duration of our stay. Additionally, the surrounding area was crap. Customer service is not important in that area apparently. I recommend staying near the mall. It’s much nicer and friendlier.

Worst place I have ever stayed at in my life! After driving all night long and arriving at the hotel at 5:30 AM; we were told we had to leave at 11:00. Ok no problem as we only wanted to sleep a few hours; placed the do not disturb sign on the door and went to bed. We were rudely woken up by the manger/​owner trying to come in and clean our room at 8:30, even though there was a sign on the door!!! Then the same man speaking loudly on his phone in the hallway would not stop talking after asked to lower his voice so we could sleep, we got up and ready to leave. Went to the front desk to complain and ask for our money back as we didn’t even get to sleep until 11:00… We were told that we would have to talk to the owner to get our money back. After two weeks of calling for the owner with no return call back, I called the corporate office number. After 5 different phone numbers, I finally got in touch with someone and several weeks later I finally received a call back and received a refund! Would not recommend this hotel ever! Worst experience ever!

Stayed here two nights with my kids. I needed a cheap place because we were on the road for several days. This place surprised me… paid about 70 bucks so I didn’t expect much.
Lit up parking in front of hotel so I felt safe.
Friendly staff and CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN! That’s always most important to me.
Room had a queen bed with a partition and a sofa bed. Both clean… the sofa bed didn’t have a single tear or stain (again surprised).
Clean bathroom (I even looked under the sink and around toilet bowl, I’m weird like that). Clean tub… I took a bath. Gasp! I know! But it was spotless and I needed to relax.
The staff was very friendly because I goofed when I made my online reservation and they helped me upgrade my room with no worries. Decent free breakfast, waffles cereal muffins juice. The pool is clean and were about to take a dip.
Plenty to eat in the area. I will stay here again.

Stayed here on our way to Louisiana. Great deal on Hotwire. Microtel was clean & neat. Exteriors are new and fresh. Rooms need an update, but they’re serviceable… and clean!

Stayed here over a roadtrip from California to Florida and it was a great choice!!! The room was cute and small, clean and shower was great. Waterpressure good, and shower head was higher than my head! The towels were clean and the pool has toys and floaties. The girl checking us in was so nice. Definitely request a non-​smoking room if needed because they do run out!!! The price was just $ 65.00 — perfect! And a continental breakfast in the morning — the food was kind of lacking — the bagels felt like wonderbread, they only had apple cinnamon spice oatmeal (probably ran out of the others in the variety pack) and a few cereal choices. No fruit or toast options other than the bagels.
I give it a 4 because the most important thing to me is friendly service and a clean room at a good price. This had all!!!
