Our favorite Tex Mex in town! Excellent food, great servers and the queso!!! I always get tamales unless we share the fajitas.

Great place to eat. Tucked away from the bustle of Loop 281. Get the fajitas as they are the best and don’t forget to round out with sopapillas. Great place for the while family. Plenty of open dining space to see TV’s for sports.

This evening we picked up dinner for our family – four adults and two teens. Our order included a bit of everything: a single puffy taco, a spicy chimichanga dinner, beef fajita enchiladas, the «Cancun» which was a dinner featuring a chile rellano, and the «Juarez» featuring beef fajitas and cheese enchiladas. Random soft and crispy tacos were also included.
Placing the order via phone was challenging: it took over 7 minutes of focused dialing to get through the busy tones, but we made it! A very patient and nice employee took our order with all necessary details, noting that it would be ready in 20 minutes.
We arrived at the appropriate time, finding a packed parking lot (and a packed restaurant!) – determining that must be a good sign.
We were right! Everything we ordered was quite tasty. I had the chimichangas and the chicken inside required drinks within minutes.
The rellano needed a «good knife» to aid cutting into to bite size portions but was also very good. The fajita meat enchiladas were a bit interesting: the enchiladas were cheese with beef fajitas meat piled on TOP which I’ve never seen before (at any many many other Mexican or Tex Mex restaurants) but they were still enjoyable. My daughter ate the ground beef puffy taco and mentioned it was heavily seasoned with onion-​just keep that in mind.
In all, our meal was really good. We will definitely keep Posados in mind-​possibly for dine IN next time!

This was the worst possible experience I have ever had at this restaurant.
Let’s begin with seating:
There were several empty tables scattered throughout the seating are, but we were told it would be a 10 – 15 minute wait. Not bad by any standard, and can be explained by lack of wait staff, etc. However, when several parties smaller than yours are seated at 4 top tables, and came in after you, one begins to wonder. I asked the hostess about our seating arrangement and was perplexed to find that our names were no longer on the roster. She apologized, and we were seated immediately after.
Secondly:
For the love of God please fix the door to the kitchen! We heard every entrance, and exit! Due to the hinges and the door banging the wall each time!
Next…yes, next… number three!
What recipe for salsa calls for oil? Oil was floating on top of the salsa bowls, and the oil on the chips straight from the fryer, made for much larger oil slick.
Fourth…
Kids meals were pleasantly served in a decent amount of time! Any parent would/​should be grateful for that, and we are!
Fifth…
The adult meals, both from the seafood side, good right?! Heck no!
The Pedro was not as it was described on the menu. There were solid cheese enchiladas with three shrimp in a butter cream sauce, three shrimp mind you. Cannot forget to mention that the cream sauce had split, and again there was an oil slick on top!
I had the tilapia and shrimp, but I could barely find the fish and shrimp, as it was drowning in the same oily, split butter cream sauce. The fish and shrimp had been previously frozen, and was extremely evident by the taste and texture.
The refried black beans were acceptable, and the rice was overdone, so much so that it was nearly paste.
The bright spot in this visit was our waitress, who was attentive, and paid special attention to our kids. She even did well enough to listen to them ramble on about their new dresses, and exchange conversation with them as though they were hers!
This will more than likely be the last time I visit this establishment, as the last few years it has gone downhill as far as food quality and service.

Not Happy this time. Felt like the server was just trying to hurry up and get us out. Food came out wrong and the server didn’t even give us a chance to tell her it was wrong. Not to mention the food was obviously sitting under the lamp awhile before it was even brought out.

Posados wasn’t bad, I almost hate writing a review like this. There was nothing however about my meal that made it pop so to speak. The tacos were nothing amazing and the salsa seemed canned.
I still ate all that I was offered, after all I was hungry but living in TX it’s difficult because we have such a large expanse of food options when it comes to Mexican food. Posados keep working on things. I have faith that you can up the ante.

Gross. Ordered cheese enchilada and guac. The guac tasted like straight onion, and … The cheese enchilada had like American cheese inside. Orange cheese. Who does that??? Sigh. Super bummed

Came here for business lunch, and the place was pleasantly busy but not overly-​bustling, meaning we had decent attention from the waitstaff. The food and drinks came out at a reasonable time, though I see other reviewers have had problems with that.
The food was mediocre and satisfactory. Nothing to write home about. The salsa, I thought, was rather good.
I’d probably return here, just because it is right-​down-​the-​middle predictable, which is nice when traveling for business.
If you own this place… can I have that statue of the fat lady in the red dress and carrying a tray? I just found it adorable.

Awesome ambiance and food! We weren’t disappointed in our first trip to this location. We should have came here sooner! This will be our new family night dinner spot, for real! Service was very good and the guitarrista was very talented and super sweet!

I’ve been hesitant to return to this restaurant due to the lack of organization and bad service. However my husband and I decided to give it another try. We went this evening and we’re seated promptly. However we sat and waited for over 15 minutes and still no one bothered to take our drink orders. No one stopped to even tell us «I’m your server and will be with you momentarily». Nothing. We waited a few more minutes and watched as their waitstaff walked past us attending other tables, except for ours. We decided to leave as this was unacceptable. When we spoke to the manager on duty (Antonio) he apologized but didn’t bother asking what section we were in or anything on those lines. I have years of management experience and I also know what a business should be run like. This was not it. The manager didn’t even ask us to come back so he could make it right, he just said he hoped we’d come another day to eat there again. I thought we had just tried that. I honestly don’t think one star is low enough but the cooks do a good job in the kitchen and don’t deserve to be discredited. We will NEVER return to Posados in Longview and I will make sure the main management finds out, as well as my other friends who eat there.

We loved this place! The fajitas are amazing, and the sauce they bring on the skillet is to die for. Waiter was quick and friendly, even brought us the biggest bowl of quest I have ever seen! The sopapillas are really good too! Not crazy about the rice and beans though.

Rude lazy waiters. We didnt even get our drink orders taken in 15 mins. Several waiters walked by and a bus boy we asked for help tried to stop them and they informed him that it wasn’t their table. A girl hostess also said that it was nobodies table. I finally went and found a manager who apologized and gave us the meal for free. Nice besides the hour it took to get our drinks and food. Lazy waiters, horrible service, greasy food. Will not be back

I found nothing special about the food here. There was hardly any chicken in my chicken quesadilla. In fact, there was hardly anything in it at all; it was more tortilla than anything else. The salsa is good.
Personally, I prefer the Posado’s in Lindale over this location. I was pretty disappointed. There are much better places in Longview to find good Mexican food.

Miss no personality waitress took eleven orders without writing down a single thing. Surprise surprise, the food was incorrect… Service and food no bueno!

Best tex-​mex in Longview! Food tastes great. The chips are the thin kind so they are not so filling (because we all fill up on chips and salsa before the meal, right?) Salsa is always wonderful. Food is very good and presentation is nice. They serve complimentary flour or corn tortillas with the meal. Service is always great. I have never had bad service here. The manager usually comes around near the end of the meal to check and make sure everything was great. Servers are always friendly and nice and I always think a couple of them would do just fine for dessert; however, this place has free sopapillas and ice cream for dessert instead. They have an abreviated menu for lunch with reduced prices. I would definitely give this place a try next time you are in the mood for Mexican!

Best Tex-​Mex I’ve had in a long time. Avg dinner price is $ 10 – 15 and the portions are large. Sopapillas hit the spot.

This is pretty good tex-​mex food. I had the chicken tacos on soft corn tortillas (that were a little too dry) and a side of black beans (really good… had the consistency of refried beans) and rice. Our server was really good… we were too full, but you get complimentary sopapillas with honey… and ice cream cones on the way out.

This place is always really awesome. The service is perfect never had a bad experience and we go here all the time. The food is excellent. They make there own flour tortillas and chips and they are the best. My favorites here are the Shrimp Taco’s, tortilla soup, steak fajitas, and the Chile raleno.

If you like Tex-​Mex then you have to try this place. When I lived in Gladewater every Sunday we went to Longview just to eat here after church. The food is out of this world and you get way more then you can eat. Prices are a little high but I would say it’s worth it or at least you owe it to yourself to try it at least once. And you have got to have some of the FREE tortilla, that are made fresh right in front of you.
