My elderly parents used this service to go to/from the Amtrak station recently. Here’s my mother’s review: «Last Friday was a pleasant experience, driver was a helpful, mannerly gentleman. He was neat, clean & the cab was clean, inside & outside. On the return trip, I called before we arrived as was suggested to me. The cab was pretty beat-up looking. I had purse across body, was pulling small suitcase, carrying a tote bag. Driver looked untidy, grungy, made no move to get out to help. I asked if he was going to help with luggage. He asked if I wanted him to ‘pop’ the trunk. I replied that we needed help with luggage & the doors. He did help, but made it evident that he didn’t want to. I asked him if he was there in response from my call. Not sure exactly what he said. When we gave him our address, he asked how to get there. We had to give him directions to our house. On the way, he drank some water & then strangled… I wondered if he was ill. When we arrived, I asked him the fee. It was about $ 2.00 more than last Friday. I asked him why it was more than last Friday. He said there’d been increases causing rate to go up. He made no offer to open doors, help get our luggage out UNTIL I told him we needed help. Reluctantly, he set luggage out of trunk. I did tip, but not as much as last Friday & with very mixed feelings. I wanted to call the cab company. If I had, I would have complimented the Friday driver, suggested that today’s driver get some training; dress, manners, courtesy, have clean cab(inside & outside), etc.»
