Northland A Church Distributed

We started attending Northland Church about 4 –½ years ago. I never leave without feeling God’s presence, but I always go anticipating that I will. The worship and the teachings are always right on and I know it is where our family is supposed to be. The Youth program is dynamic and spiritual growth, healing and maturity happens there. My husband and I are Life Coaches there for Middle School and High School students and it is a great privilege to partner with these youth and help guide them in life.

By far the best church I have ever attended. I have been going to Northland for almost 2 years now and I was a little skeptical at first but not anymore. All of the pastors there are wonderful. The people who attend are great, and we’ve made some really good friends there too. Give Northland a try! You won’t be sorry.

This church is an acceptional church. All walks of life are welcome here, the sermons are very relatable and the music is incredible! There are also smaller group options so that members can be a part of a more intimate group.

Great modern church! I went there for the Central Florida of the arts holiday concert and it was a perfect venue. I love the visual aesthetics of the church and how easy it was to find. Not to mention the acoustics were amazing.
The staff were helpful and friendly. Parking was a mess, but nothing that was not expected.
I would say the only thing that stopped it from receiving 5 stars was how hard it was to find a bathroom.

I love Northland Church. It’s not necessarily my home church bc it can be a bit fundamentalist, but when I DO go, I get exactly what I need. The music is ALWAYS beautiful and over the top as well. Thank you, Dr. Joel Hunter.

Northland has been my Home Church for 22yrs. I Love my Northland family. Everyone is so welcoming. There are a lot of service days and times to choose from. Many many classes for the kids, Moms, dads, women, Men, Couples they are countless. There is always something to do or volunteer etc.

Never benen to a service here, but attended several events. Based on that I have to say they have a beautiful facility and everyone is always super nice when we are there. The facility is clean and there is plenty of parking!

Being new to the area, I wanted to find a home church. I was a member of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, CA with Rick Warren for over 10 years. And while I loved my time there, singing in the choir, participating in small groups, getting baptized,… I longed to be part of a smaller community. So then I started attending and became a member of Fullerton Presbyterian Church in Fullerton, CA.
When I moved to FL I didn’t want to be part of a mega church anymore. And although Northland is a good size, I don’t feel so lost in the sea of attendees. And that’s a good thing!
My kids love the kids classes where they can sing, play games, learn about God… The service always has a practical message that can apply to anyone no matter where you are in your relationship with God.
Pastor Joel seems so real; I like that. I know he likes to be a man of the people.
This past Christmas we went to the 5pm Christmas Eve service. Traffic was pretty thick going to the main worship hall on Dog Track so we went to Lymon H.S. where they were having 1 of 2 offsite services. We were pleasantly surprised to find that there were some choir members there and Pastor Joel started the service at Lymon. Midway through, during a musical performance, he shuttled back to the main worship center and then Pastor Vernon, the music director, came to Lymon and sang a song from there that was then simulcasted to the other locations.
It worked out great! It was a much more intimate setting. Pastor Joel went through the seats before the service started and greeted everyone. It was a family service, meaning the kids were with us rather than going to the kids classes, and they gave a goodie bag to each child filled with crayons and a craft activity to keep them entertained, just in case they got restless during the service. What a great idea!

Northland changed my life. Great Music, great message and they do really great work.

It is SUCH a blessing to worship at Northland at any time, but especially at Christmas. We went to the 4p service on ¹²⁄₂₄ and the place was close to packed at 10 to. Since there weren’t 3 seats together, we ended up in the Rink (the old church site, which used to be a roller skating rink). But since I stayed to usher at the 6 and 8, I took in the service about two-​and-​a-​half times — I just couldn’t pull myself away. The music was magnificent. Pastor Joel’s message was accessible AND profound. He used 3 simple anecdotes to illustrate important points: 1) the blissful — but ignorant — kid with his present (know the true gift of Christmas); 2) the young self-​centered «guess-​who?» pilot (to get anywhere, you have to have a relationship); 3) the sagacious homie helper (we’re all in this together, regardless of current circumstances).
Note to self (and others) for next year: if we want to give OTHERS a chance to get to the Christmas service, AVOID the 4p service on X’Mas eve — the 8p was the least busy out of the 3! One slightly sad note: two days later, when we had our regular Sunday service, there were a lot of no-​shows! Could have shot a cannon through the parking lot at 9a and sent only a limited number of people to meet Jesus. Folks probably figured they did their «church duty» for the week already :-(

I was born and raised Catholic (and have attended all my life)…so going to Northland was kind of a shock. Very different than your «Traditional» church.
It was a lot of fun, and I like to supplment my regular church attendance with going to Northland… It’s like Rock Concerts meets Inspirational Speaker, meets church.
I think it’s the perfect church for someone who may be going to church for the first time. They go out of their way to welcome new comers. If you’re thinking of starting to find the Lord and go to church… this is the church for you!
It is not a traditional church at all though, so if you are used to group prayer, reading from the bible, private prayer… this may not be the church for you.
If you are looking for a fun night out with God at the center… give it a try!

I attend the Longwood /​Dog Track Road location and love it! Pastor Joel Hunter is a mesmerizing speaker; he is passionate and full of vigor as he discusses generation-​old biblical issues and relates them to our modern-​day lives.
There are so many classes that you can attend that I cannot even name them all, there are classes for special-​ed children (this was, literally, a Godsend for my nephew who is autistic), classes for couples, divorcees, seniors, women, men, youth, children, you name it! Prayer groups, mission groups, group after group of God-​loving people who want to serve and show their love to the peeps around them. The music is upbeat, a mix of classical hymns and contemporary Christian and everything in between. The church hosts various Christian artists’ concerts, plays, musicals and other amazing entertainment in their larger then life venue.
If you haven’t checked it out, you should. If you’re looking for a church, you should visit. If you don’t want to go alone, call me. If you want to try it on-​line first, go for it! … and all of God’s people said … AMEN!
