The Basic Shop

Kinda of a bummer. Came here at 10:30 on Thursday and they weren’t open– even though the sign says 10am.

I have heard so much about this little boutique I had to walk the 5 feet from my employer and check it out. Oh my goodness! I am in my 20’s and am naturally following a bunch of fashion on Pinterest and IG. That being said, I have literally been searching everywhere for the apparel that this boutique has an abundance of. I have gone in 2 times over the last 48 hours and have been trying on everything. The Boutique owner has helped me out like crazy. While my taste is spot on (I will own that, yes) my vision sometimes needs help. And that’s where she (the owner) had come to my rescue– she had so much knowledge (based on her inventory alone, I can tell her and I are on the same wavelength) she just gets it. Décor is to die for! I’ll be a frequent buyer /​visitor. She is a visionary and that’s very apparent the second you walk in. This place is amazing.

After my Saturday morning brunch at High Hand I had some extra time, so I walked across the street to see this new boutique called the basic shop. I was so taken back. There is nothing like this anywhere in the placer county community. I was pleasantly surprised to see something for everyone. I was with my husband and he was equally as impressed. He was very intrigued with all of the plate wear and many different hanging lanterns. I was more interested in the beautiful clothing! There is something for women of all ages with all different styles. Along with beautiful high end jewelry with great prices that can virtually go with anything! Not only is the merchandise great, the customer service is even better. The basic shop has one of the most warm and welcoming staff! You can feel the positive atmosphere as soon as you walk in the blue door. Especially from the owner Katie. She is so nice and helpful a long with a great sense of humor. My whole family and I would extremely recommend stopping by! We will definitely be back soon:)

I headed over here just to check out the store, because we have heard so much about the great quality and welcoming environment. This hidden gem met every one of our expectations! The owner was very nice and inviting. She made us feel comfortable and right at home, with a coffee cart with options of tea, coffee, and water for free! Just what I need for a morning or afternoon shopping spree! This made our shopping experience even better. They didn’t just have fabulous, chic clothing but fine accessories, very cool home goods including lanterns, glasses, wax melts, etc., cheese boards, coasters, and so much more! There is so much to choose from for everybody, without the overwhelming feeling. This store stands out from the rest of the small businesses in this area which makes this place very unique! I am definitely coming back as soon as possible!!!
