We visited this shop today before catching the ferry back to reality. I bought a couple pieces of fudge(espresso and raspberry merlot) and a whale tail keychain that caught my eye. The ladies behind the counter were very friendly and the fudge is probably the best I’ve had, I’m not a fudge person but their’s is really good.

What a delight! We rode our bikes from the Ferry and stopped in town for an ice cream which we enjoyed with a beautiful view of the water. Lovely! The ice cream was delicious, and an added bonus, there was a cute little shop which had charming posters and other knickknacks that the kids loved. Come. Be charmed. Enjoy delicious ice cream.

This is the tale of the $ 9 ice cream cone. We stopped here on the Fourth of July fir ice cream. $ 4.50 is a lot to pay for a cone, but I understand, this is a seasonal business and they need to make their money in a short period of time. After we paid, we turned from the cash register and the ice cream fell off my sons cone onto the floor. The counter person was very annoyed at us, but the girl behind the ice cream counter very quickly asked if he wanted another. My mistake, I made an assumption that they were replacing his dropped cone. Nope, after they scooped it they wanted another $ 4.50. The speed and eagerness with which they offered the cone was very deceiving. They were entirely within their rights to sell us another cone, but I came away feeling very deceived. And although another reviewer commented on the large size of the servings, they must have had a different person scooping. These were definitely child size scoops. For $ 4.50. Or $ 9.00. Needless to say, when it comes to customer service I’d give this place low marks. The value of goodwill they could have received for a few cents worth of ice cream would have been priceless — my first Unilocal review(which this is) would have been a five star review about the awesome girls who saved my little boys treat. Instead, they’ve driven a customer away… We’ll never stop there again.

5 stars for truly excellent fudge. I tried the chocolate peanut butter and the brown sugar pecan. Melts in your mouth!

Really good fudge! I especially loved the caramel apple and pumpkin pie nut fudge. Free samples, and if you buy a pound($ 18), you get a half pound free. They also feature Lopez Island Ice cream and lots of souvenirs. Definitely worth a visit!

It’s not a secret I LOOOOVE frozen yogurt. Seriously, ask anyone who knows me and they’ll tell you fro yo is my jam. However, every now and then I get a hankering for fresh, creamy, full fat, gourmet ice cream and this place really hit the spot! My husband and I shared the sundae. It’s two scoops(we went with cookies & cream & praline), waffle bits, hot fudge, and whipped cream. Now here’s the fun part. See — we were expecting normal hot fudge but that was not the case! See, they let you chose whichever fudge they have in the store as your topping. Say what?! How do you chose from so many delicious options? It was tough, but we were up for the challenge! In case you’re wondering, we went with fudge with walnuts. We were not disappointed! I believe the price of the sundae was $ 5.99. Worth every delicious penny(& calorie!) Oh — no CC/DC payments under $ 5

The fudge(and ice cream) were delicious, the ladies that own the place were incredibly nice and helpful and the view is amazing! When(not if) I make the trip back to Lopez Island, this will definitely be one of the stops.

My husband and I stopped by the Just Heavenly Fudge Factory last weekend during our bike ride around Lopez Island. We had sampled their fudge previously at the Farmers Market(held on Saturdays) and thought it was pretty tasty, but we were really there for the Lopez Island Creamery ice cream. They had a funny ordering system which I imagine works when it’s crowded maybe but you pay and then get a ticket with your ice cream order on it. Since we were the only ones in the shop I thought it was a bit funny. Anyway, I wish they carried more of the unique flavors from the creamery which I have sampled in the past in Seattle. The prices were a bit steep but I imagine those are«island prices.» Overall, the ice cream was very good and the scoops were very over sized. The rest of the store consisted of trinkets and souvenirs with«Lopez Island» labeled on. There is also a great lookout outside the shop at the end of the parking lot where you can see along the coastline and head down to the public beach to get a closer look.
