Just spent time touring KY with friends. Didn’t find a better spot or a nicer owner than Larry. Great stories, great atmosphere, great people. We will be back as soon as we’re in the area. We would and have recommended Hawks Place to everyone we know.

St Paul, MN
Stopped here for a pre-​race meal when we were in the area for the Bourbon Chase run. The food and hospitality were top notch, and the proprietor spent a fair amount of time getting to know us and letting us get to know Maker’s Mark. I enjoyed the grilled tilapia and coleslaw; friends had and liked the fish sandwich and alfredo pasta.

Definitely a great stop while you’re on the Bourbon Trail in Kentucky. GREAT food, and even better people. Try Hawk’s chicken wings, amazingly good! Definitely a no-frill’s spot, that is if you don’t consider great service and food a frill!
