Green Line Moving

Criminal enterprise, avoid at all cost. Hired Green Line to move across country from Virginia to California. I was charged twice what the original quote was for and my stuff arrived 3 months late. The best part is every time I would call they made it sound like my things were either being loaded or en route. being lied to dozens of times was not even the worst part. When my things did arrive the driver was all alone so I had to have a friend come help me carry everything up 3 flights of stairs (the driver said he would waive the delivery charge, very generous). it gets better, because my belongings were so late Green Line is required to give me $ 15 per day for every day it was late. They owe be over $ 600 that I have been trying to collect since for a 1.5 months (probably wont see that money). I have never dealt with a company on this level and hope that this review prevents others from making the same mistake I did.

Much like other Unilocalers, if I could give this company negative stars I would. Word of advice, if you are planning a move research the company you will end up using before hiring them and allowing them to be in possession of your items. I called green line after checking rates from two other companies the quote I got from them was the most affordable one, the person who set up my appointment, vadim, was very nice over the phone so I decided to give them a try… WHAT A MISTAKE!!!
The day of the move after they started loading my items on the truck, the estimate I received over the phone more than doubled. Because I had to clear my house I didnt have much choice but to agree. Because I couldnt pay more I had to leave many items behind.
When my items finally arrived, 25 days later, even though I was promised they would arrive within 10 days, 80% was broken, damged or scratched and many items where missing.
I have been running after them for several months trying to see how I can get my lost items and how I can get compensation for my broken items, but there is no body to speak with.
But the most concerning part in this entire nightmare is the fact that they over charged my credit card and forged my signature on the payment slip as well as on a fake bill of landing.
I did contact authorities. My advice to you is stay away from this company
They are criminals.

Bait and switch. Vee was the relocation consultant I worked with to quote my move. My boyfriend and I were combining our two Alexandria apartments into one 3 level DC townhouse. Although I communicated these details to Vee, none of it was included in the contract. I was quoted a low price of $ 540 and a time estimate of 5 hours to be «conservative». This was my first time hiring movers so the number sounded good to me.
The movers arrived on time which was great, but upon hearing the details of the move were completely shocked. It was a bigger job than they had expected. In the end the move cost us over $ 900 and Vee was «unavailable» to discuss the details of the quote.
The company will require that you make payment before they unload the truck and require that you sign a contract saying you will not contact your bank to interfere with the payment.
To put the cherry on top, several items of furniture had been damaged and one of the movers tried to tape a dresser to mask the damage he had done.
The move was bad all around and the company is dishonest. I will not use them again.

If I could give this company zero stars, I would!!! Awful. Awful. I was quoted $ 312 to be «competitive» with the other offers I received. Nothing changed between the quote and the move. I had everything packed and in bags when the movers got there. The same amount of furniture was moved the exact same distance as my quote. Movers were 2.5 hours late. I was charged $ 511 (!!!). I was told I couldn’t get my things off the truck if the money wasn’t paid. I called customer service who magically couldn’t get ahold of a supervisor but said they had another move. I told them I would pay just to keep them rolling but still wanted to dispute the $ 200 increase in fee. One week later I am still trying to get ahold of someone. Poor customer service. Poor movers. DO NOT USE THEM!
