I saw a Groupon for«Lorton Art and Framing» on August 9, 2014. My first warning sign should have been the fact that it was 81% off. But, unfazed I bought a $ 30 Groupon anyway. The next day I drove out to their supposed location on Lorton Station Blvd and tried to find them. Unframed poster in the back seat of the car. Couldn’t find them. Undeterred I parked, got out of the car and walked the 9000 block checking each storefront one by one. This place doesn’t exist or is CLOSED. I finally found a directory for the shopping plaza. The address listed on the Groupon says the address is 9000 H. The directory states«Space Available» under 9000 H. This business apparently also has gone or did go by KH Art and Framing at 9000 N. There is a 9000N on Lorton station blvd. but it is not a frame store. Having wasted my time, I went somewhere else to get the framing done. I am now in a dispute with Groupon’s customer service(which is apparently located in India). They do not want to give me a refund or any consideration despite their still posting Groupon’s(and taking the money) for a store that is no longer open.

I was very pleased with my experience here. I took a piece of artwork done by my aunt(sentimental value) here to get the frame upgraded. I was a little worried about leaving the print behind, but it turned out great. They spent a lot of time with me picking out the right color of mats(the print was faded at the top, so it was a different color than at the bottom). Luckily they had about 20 different off-whites to pick from, so we got one that was perfect. We picked a simple frame to compliment it, but they had a ton of more ornate options if you wanted to go that route. Best of all, it only took a week to get it done! I was very impressed. I didn’t have any trouble getting in touch with them. The first time they answered the phone, and then when I called back to see if it was ready, I got the answering machine — but the owner(?) called back within 5 minutes, and I hadn’t even left a message! Sidenote: I used a Living Social deal, which only partially covered the cost. It was a large print we were framing, and it would have been expensive anywhere just because of the size.

Don’t walk, but RUN away from this«place of business». They JACKUPTHEIRPRICESFORGROUPONS and LIVINGSOCIALDEALS! How do I know? They did it to me, so i ended up getting a refund on the groupon and going down the street to another framer who did everything for much less than these guys. Don’t trust them and don’t use them. They are crooks!

This place is ridiculous. I got a living social deal to come here and first of all couldn’t figure out if it was open or not– they have a terrible website and never pick up their phone to answer questions. Then, when I went in it was ok– the prices were high, as expected, but at least one of the people working there was nice and helped out– also gave me a deal on my second piece. I was much happier having actually been in the store. The worst part of my experience was actually getting the pictures back. I tried and tried for weeks to get them on the phone– either it was off or they weren’t picking up. Sometimes it’s some guy’s cellphone that answers– it’s really uprofessional and you can never tell when to call or be sure anyone will be there. I still don’t have my pictures back 3 months after I took them in and while part of that’s on me for putting this off for so long, it shouldn’t be this difficult to get your things back. At this point I’m wondering if they lost my pieces and maybe that’s why they won’t call me back or answer the phone. Very very unprofessional and hard to work with. Grrr.

Absolutely terrible service. The sales girl was rude and was very annoyed when we asked for the prices of different frames. The owner was even worse. I would sum up his demeanor as aggressive and contemptuous toward his customers. He demanded to know if we were using a Groupon(we were) and then proceeded to brush us off. We typically like to support local business and would have been willing to pay the higher prices for framing(even with the Groupon our purchase would have been an additional $ 200). However, the service was so bad that we would rather eat the cost of the Groupon and pay full price somewhere else than to support this business. Definitely would not recommend this place.

Awful! First of all their selection of matting is terrible; hardly a selection if that’s what you can even call it, I will say they do have a nice selection of frames. I brought a piece there that just need glass, that’s it. The piece might have been 12 inch x 12 inch no big job at all and it took them almost 2 weeks to get the glass put in plus it cost me $ 50, for a stinking piece of glass. Then when I went to pick it up there was dirt and dust bunnies under the glass. So I had to wait another 3 weeks to get it cleaned. I thought that it would be good, you know support a local establishment, but I was so wrong. I would NEVER, EVER go back here
