Pirates Cove Water Park

I didnt like this place. Dirty and very loud. Music is playing all the time and very loud– you can not run away from it because speakers are in every corner. When i was walking to baby pool one of the stuff close the door at front of my face even thought she saw i was carry baby on my hands.
I will not going back.

We had my daughter’s four year old birthday party here and I was pretty unimpressed with the staff that answers the phones and takes reservations. They acted like I was a huge inconvenience each time I called… which was multiple times because only an authorized manager can take birthday reservations.
The day of the party I was introduced to the person who would help us throughout the party. We arrived prior to our reservation of their party area and despite the fact it wasn’t being used by anyone else at the time, they wouldn’t let us put our towels and bags there until our reservation time.
We had decided to serve food an hour into the party and the little guests got restless so we ordered «appetizers» of chicken fingers until the pizza arrived. They were pretty accommodating in that regard.
Overall it was a good experience and the pool areas and sand pit are pretty great.

We visited this water park over the weekend, it was great! We have a 2.5 year old and there’s a smaller wading pool with a zero entry slide. There’s also a sand pit and my daughter LOVED it. It’s nice they provide life jackets for free if your child needs them.
The water slides are fun and my husband enjoyed them. The yellow one is much faster.
Note — If you want a nice chairs/​lounges under an umbrella, get there when it opens. We got there about 45 mins after, and chairs were scarce. We found some together, but in the sun.
Also, the concession stand (nachos, hot dogs, etc) was actually very reasonably priced. We got 2 hotdogs, nachos, fries and a bottle of water for like $ 14. It’s hot, so bring water if you can.

We came to visit our friends and they took us there for a Family Fun Night. What a great time. There was pizza, soda, ice cream and a raffle not to mention the main pool, the kiddie pool, and life vests for the little ones. I wish we had something like this for the same price point in NJ. We do have water parks like this but they are privately owned and way too crowded. What a great place!

Perfect place for family fun. My daughter is almost 4 and Pirates Cove had everything we could ask for. Good prices, kiddie pools and slides, and digging for treasure. Not too crowded and not too overwhelming for little ones. The adult pool and slides are roped off so you don’t have to worry too much about the big kids rough housing around the little kids. We will definitely be back!

I used to go to Great Waves off of Eisenhower Ave, it’s much better than this place because it has a wave pool, in addition to a large pool for kids AND slides.
There’s also one in Manassas that’s pretty good too that has a lazy river and some type of obstacle course thingie.
I don’t think Pirates Cove has anything special.
What I didn’t like: the food. Great Waves has a Papa Johns. Pirates Cove has disgusting pizza and chicken. There were slides and just a regular large pool… I guess I was expecting more.
What I did like: the fact that it’s the closest water park to me and my toddler really enjoyed herself. I will go once in a while for her sake.

The water park is close to where I live and the prices are pretty good. The only thing that I don’t like us that the parking lot is small and that it fills up fast. Come there in the morning. That’s the best time for you to go there

I went here on a Wednesday morning I got there when it opened and stayed through 1:30pm. I love the upkeep on the facility. A clean, well preserved, fun environment for the kids is always a treasure to find. The prices where low. Lounge chairs seemed ample but quickly fill up I suggest arriving early. The parking was ample. The kiddie pool was a big hit with the 1 year old. The big pool was a huge hit with everyone else. The food served was good but I wish they had a dedicated children’s window. We stood in line for 20 minutes not for line length but because each child in front of us (5) wanted to buy something with the $ 2 they had brought with no math help from the staff that took a very long time nor did an extra staff member try to take adult orders for food. It seems like that could be streamlined somehow. I highly recommend this park. And they have a dog day in September before closing the pool annually. How fun.

I love this park. It’s the right price and the right size and has all the right stuff. It’s amazing in every way possible. I like the little pool for the kids. I like the feeling of it and everything else is really nice. I was very happy with the amount of things to do there

I really like this pool. We have the Bounce pass from the park system and have been to Pirate’s Cove, Upton Hill and Great Waves. Of the 3, Pirate’s Cove is my favorite. Great Waves is a little too big and Upton Hill a little too small, but Pirate’s Cove is just right. I have small children so the main pool has slides and stuff that they like and while still being shallow. The fenced in baby pool has its own slide, which is great because even the small ones like my 2 year old can go down it without giving me a heart attack. It would be nice if the baby pool was a zero-​entry one like at Upton Hill, but oh well… The baby pool also has at least 2 shade umbrellas (Great Waves only has 1) and the sandbox is right next door so if 1 kid wants to go there but 1 kid wants to stay in the pool, you can keep an eye on them both without having to actually leave the pool area. The sandbox is totally great. they hide «treasure» in the sand that the kids can turn in for prizes. Plus there’s a water spout right there for the sand, and there’s great shade right over the sandbox so the kids can play without getting blistered in the sun. I just wish it wasn’t so far in BFE.

Kiddie Pool is Always WARM! sand Area is Good! A Must Vist Place. Ps Like that they sell SWIMMERS for tots Just in case.
