Groovy old motel in Los Alamitos. The room was spotless, new carpeting, fresh paint, clean refrigerator. The bathroom was immaculate. The bed was comfortable, and the room smelled fresh. Basic cable with just a few stations, and the clerk warned us that the wifi was spotty. The pool was clean and the grass was well-tended. Close to fast food and really close to Katella Deli. The price was right — $ 65/night.

Clean, comfortable room and then some. Don’t let the exterior fool you. This motel is maintained and a great price for what you get. Parking can be a tight squeeze, but it’s safe and that’s the main thing. Wendy’s, Starbucks, and groceries are within a mile from the motel. Overall, a great stay! I’ll definitely be back again when I work an event in this area!

DON’T DOIT! DONTSTAYHERE!!! Worst experience ever and I’ve stayed in a lot of places over my lifetime. They called the police because they ASSUMED my 15 yr old daughter was a prostitute! TOTAL harassment! Didn’t even talk to any adults first. And YES she was a registered guest! RIDICULOUS!!! They also cop attitudes when you need ANYTHING extra(like towels). They said they get ALOT of prostitution and druggies there. Good reason NOTTOSTAYHERE!!!

This place is great! A great throwback to the motels of the 50’s and 60’s. Nothing fancy, just a clean motel with great service. The pool is beautiful with an avocado and lemon tree and again very clean. We were here for a surf music convention so it was walking distance to where we needed to be and they accommodated us very well. There is no coffee pot, but the lady at the desk had a few to spare so she let us have one, which was wonderful!!! Like I said there is no fancy amenities, but it had everything we needed for a great and comfortable stay! I will definitely be back.

Before I begin my review, up front — I recommend this budget motel! o This motel is an oasis with the requisite soothing and intoxicating atmosphere. o Sunday night stay, 65 clams. o Super clean spacious room with a retro-vibe, big time — Don’t be fooled, it’s been updated only the look is still so retro … love it. Oh, and the upgrade of quiet AC machine, nice touch. o Sliding glass door and old school drapes, check. See photo number 8 on the website photo gallery, that was the view from our room. o Ultra comfortable king sized bed with nightstand headboard and retro ambient lighting, check! o Frig, micro, check check. o Bring your own shampoo and blow dryer, and head out to Classic Burger Café down the street for the tasty made to order value breakfast plate and morning coffee. So you get it, no coffee machine but it’s a super clean spacious budget motel. Enjoy the experience. o Remote issued upon check-in with Room Key(literally the old style room key with plastic marker, old school nicety) o Sparkling pool and beautiful landscaping; add some tikis and torches, it would be perfect. o No(guaranteed) wifi, it’s a super clean spacious budget motel … so bring your own hot spot, joker. Safe travels! Sophia

Sometimes when I’m in Los Alamitos, I just need a place to sleep. Don’s Turf is that place. The motel dates from the 50s, easy, but it’s clean and comfortable. A room will have a bed, an old TV with the most basic cable, a nightstand with a phone on it and that’s it. Not even an alarm clock. Certainly no Wi-Fi. I’ve stayed here three times so far, and each time the lady at the front desk has been friendly and helpful. Rooms run about $ 50/night. The landscaping around the pool is very pretty and some of the rooms are 70s-fabulous, but that’s as close to a recreational stay as you’ll get here.
