I came here as a walk-​in since I couldn’t make it down to Newport for my regular girl. I got Kelli Johnson on a whim and am so happy I did! She always asks you questions to make sure she completely understands the look you are going for. We experimented with different things and I have loved everything. I always get a cut and now am getting regular balayages. I am now a customer for life. Ask for Kelli… You will not regret it. P. S. She is also a beautiful person inside and out. Five stars all the way.

I have been going to Gloss Salon for a couple years now and this review is long overdue. Laura Saari does my hair and she does a fantastic job! I found her from a Unilocal review — titled «calling all blondes!» and I couldn’t agree more with her awesome talent for blonde hair. I think Laura is great with color and really has helped me achieve the natural, bright blonde that is so hard to get. It took me a few tries to get the right stylist when I moved to CA, I am so happy I found Laura! My mom and I both go to her regularly — in fact we have our appointments booked for the rest of the year! Thanks for taking great care of us, Laura! We love you!

I couldn’t wait to post my feedback & review to share with you my wonderful experience in hope that it can help you or anyone looking for a great stylist better yet a (Hair Salon) equipped with a welcoming friendly staff with reasonable prices that literally left me wanting to give more since my experience was worth more than the $ 150 I paid for a full head «Balayage» retouch. Being on a layover in Long Beach for 24 hours left me desperately seeking for a stylist to get me ready for a wedding this Sat. I stumbled upon «Gloss Salon & Studio» on Unilocal the pictures and great reviews convinced me to give this place a try… I called the day off and made an appointment with «Brittany» and from the moment I walked in the staff greeted me with a big smile and complimentary drink. The Salon is very clean girly sheek stylish very well decorated with great taste. The Salon was busy every chair was taken which only proofs to confirm that this place provides great service and the locals keep coming back. Brittany was so attentive friendly which by the way every hair stylist here has a great unique style of their own hair, wardrobe makeup all on point and Brittany was no exception… she was super charismatic talkative great energy not once did I feel awkward she made me feel super comfortable & better yet she over exceeded my Expectations of what my end hair would look like she is very talented with great communication and I highly recommend this place I will rate this place a 10 star + thank you so much I am so happy and will return soon.

Had an amazing experience. Brittany was my stylist and saved my hair. It was very dull and washing me out, and she brought life back to my hair. She went into detail on what she was doing throughout the whole process which I really appreciated. I will defiantly be coming back to her from now on. Great salon, great location. Highly recommend.

I love Gloss Salon! Brittany my hairstylist is awesome. She does a fabulous job every time and she is super sweet! She will always make time for a quick bang trim too if needed. The staff at the front desk are also very nice and provide great customer service on check in i: e providing coffee or water.
This is my go to hair salon.

Found Gloss through Unilocal near the end of 2014. I came in as a walk in with bright red hair and Jordin was the one who was available. i am so glad that i came in to see her, over the course of time, my hair has gotten healthier and ive gotten nothing but compliments from friends and family ever since I’ve come to see her. Jordin is the sweetest and will tell me straight out if something is do-​able which I appreciate. Ask for her, you wont regret it!

I love going in to see Laura! She works absolute magic with my hair. It’s so hard to find a stylist that you can go in to see, sit in their chair, and just relax and know you’re going to love your hair at the end, Laura is that stylist! Fantastic cuts and perfect color, I feel totally confident in recommending her to other people!

I can’t say good enough things about Kelli! She has been doing my hair for about 5 years now! From cuts and styles to colors this girl knows her stuff! I have never left the salon disappointed after getting my hair done by her. She is extremely sweet, professional and so attentive to detail. You tell or show her what you want and she does her best to leave you looking like the hair model you showed her.
I once spent 3 hours getting my hair cut and colored by her and she NEVER complained once! She never rushes you nor rushes the time you’ve booked with her. She always makes sure you leave happy and satisfied. I don’t think I’ll go to another stylist after being with her for so long because I am always happy with her work!

Go see Kelli for your hair! She’s insanely talented, super sweet, and honest. She’s also got a lot of experience for her young age. The salon is really cute too. A must go if you need a good hairstylist in the Cerritos or Los Al area!!!

First time coming here and was ecstatic by everyone. They were all welcoming. Got assisted right away to my hair stylist. I went to Kelli and she did an amazing job. I can’t wait to go back to touch up and get blonder on my bayalage! I totally recommend her.

So I did extensive research on salons and stylists in the surrounding areas. I found Laura S. On here and she was the most consistent and had photos on here with the cut and great color on her. She was amazing! Listened to exactly what I wanted and through out the appt would ask to make even the littlest details great. And she was such a pleasure to talk to. The result was better then I pictured! Everyone loves it! The price was worth it!
Go to Laura! She is so talented and above all listens to her clients needs! I was from out of town and will deff go back!

I moved from Orlando to California and it took me 4 years to find Elise. I’ve been going to her for over a year now. Every time I come in she does a great job!!! I won’t let anyone else but Elise touch my hair.

I was looking for a new stylist after my previous stylist stopped doing hair. I found Laura S. Here on Unilocal and saw her previous work & was pretty impressed! So I decided to trust my hair to her. She listened to what I wanted, and was able to freshen up my ombré and give me a new cut to go with it, so my hair looks great! Granted, my hair is super fine so Laura did a great job to add volume to it when she styled it :) I uploaded a photo to show the final result.

Came in for a quick consultation & to see if my hair color could be fixed. I had a ummmm 90’s blonde streak with ombré. It didn’t turn out how I wanted it); But Jordin was my lifesaver !!! She listened to what I wanted and made it happen. I feel me again.

My first time and definitely not my last time here

Right when I walked through the doors to the counter, I had to wait a good 5 minutes before anyone came to greet me and asked if I had an appointment. A hair stylist saw that I was waiting and came to greet me and offered me a beverage.
I told my hair stylist that I just wanted balayage highlights in caramel brown because my hair is black. She said she would add some sun-​kissed highlights near the front of my face as well. After the consultation, she went to get my colors ready. It was a good experience. I enjoyed the head massage during the hair washing.
My only complaint was that I was told my highlights would not turn into that brassy-​orange color. I’ve noticed after 2 hair washes a couple of days later that the highlights at the bottom are somewhat more blonde than the rest of my hair. I basically have random highlights of caramel brown AND blonde. It’s sort of cool but I just didn’t expect that. I was warned that the caramel would turn lighter with washing, blow drying, and sun exposure though.

This place is rad! I had never done anything to my hair (color-​wise) because of how afraid I was of someone messing it up. I didn’t make an appointment because I decided to change it on the spot before I changed my mind about doing it, and they gladly took me in.
My hairstylist was Cassy and she is amazing! Probably one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met, she completely took her time, and did everything I asked for.
Parking is easy to find in the huge lot, they serve all kinds of complimentary drinks (I even saw cookies), and their products feel/​smell great :)
