Let me begin by saying that DR. MALLETT IS NO LONGER HERE. My family and I had been going to Dr. Mallett for years when much to our surprise, he retired and Dr. Luong replaced him.
WE HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT BAD EXPERIENCES WITH DR. LUONG. If you are a former patient of Dr. Mallett, I suggest you start looking for a new dentist rather than wasting your time, money, and patience.
Going in for a simple teeth cleaning? Expect to be bombarded with a sales pitch as to why you need multiple other procedures done. Rather than flossing your teeth after cleaning them, Dr. Luong’s hygienist is happy to try to push a fluoride treatment instead.
Going in for a cavity? Expect to be in pain for anywhere from 2 to 3 months! I had a cavity filled and was in extreme pain for about a week. I could hardly chew and GOD FORBID I let anything even slightly cold touch that tooth. I went back and what did Dr. Luong do? He took a drill to my mouth and filed that cavity down with no pain killer what so ever. Talk about torture. I was in pain for approximately 3 months after that and I’m STILL wary of cold food or drinks on that side of my mouth.
Not only has my dad had the same painful experience but I found another very similar review online…
Considering Dr. Luong? I have two words for you… STAY AWAY.

i have been going to dr. mallett since i was five years old now i am 38 yrs. he is sooooo honest and the best dentist i have ever been to. i have gone to a few other dentist (when my insurance didn’t cover dr. mallett) and no other dentist compared. he is the best!!!
