I was browsing online for trails that I could take my dog. This was listed as one of them, and it was really close to Foothills Park; in fact it is adjacent to Foothills Park. There is only two parking spaces at the entrance, but when I drove there it was empty, and it does not look like people frequent it too much. The trail starts off pretty nice and reminded me of Rancho San Antonio, with bugs, dirt paths, trees to cover us, and a nice grade hill, but then it ends very abruptly once we got to the top. It did not even feel like I hiked half a mile up, and my dog was looking at me like«That’s it?!?». Yep. At the top is an anti-climatic grassy knoll area overlooking the preserve. I let my dog sniff around and we headed back, upon which we drove to Foothills park where I let him frolic in the grass. PROS: — Allows dog — Between Foothills Park & Los Trancos — Smells nice like honey and wood CONS: — Short trail(0.4 according to website) — Very limited parking — Poison Oak FINALASSESSMENT: I would not come back, unless the trail was extended further for at least a minimum of 3 miles.
