Came here for lunch today and left feeling sick. I ordered the Falafel Gyro which was DRENCHED in the tzatziki sauce.(see the picture I posted). It was so hard & messy to eat and the sauce was overpowering — I didn’t want to finish it. My co-workers have been raving about this place so maybe I just came on a bad day or maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. I ended up paying $ 7.55(w/tax) for the Gyro & a small bag of Cheetos and left feeling sick & still hungry…

I have been here several times over the last several years and the gyro lunch was very good. I went today for a gyro and salad combo and was very disappointed. the pita was on some type of flat bread not the soft pillowy tasty Kontos pitas that were served before. Meat was not very much and not very warm. I saw french fries on the menu and when I asked for some I was told they don’t have fries anymore. If that is the case maybe the menu should be updated/corrected. the salad had better pieces of Feta but had california olives. Greek olives are not that expensive from Trader Joes or Costco and are part of a Greek salad not california olives. I don’t think I will come back but make the drive to either Asteria Grill or Athens Grill. I hope the owner of Go Go reads this and makes the necessary improvements to serve more authentic Greek food.

Wow. Haven’t been here in at least a year and this place has gone down. Ordered a falafel wrap, chicken wrap and Greek salad. The falafels were incredibly dense and Luke warm, the texture of which seemed to point a frozen variety — I get that some vendors use frozen products but when put into a microwave oven, it makes for a inedible rock. With regard to the chicken wrap, it should be renamed«onion wrap» with chicken(very little chicken). As to the Greek salad, I have never seen«salad» swimming in «broth.» Weird and disgusting. Our«lunch» was horrible and a waste of $ 26! Avoid this place!!!

The folks were nice when greeting you. but the meat gyro was average. The meat was mediocre and but veggies were fresh but it didn’t taste like it wowed us. A bit pricey but I suspect it cuz of city. But other neighbor locations it’s worth $ 1.50 less. Then Los altos/mtn view prices. 2 stars cuz we had better.

The lamb/beef gyro is goooood. It’s so simple that it’s good. I like the convenience of it, the price, and size(it’s not a Man portion). I haven’t seen any other place in my area that offers gyros, and this place is great if you’re not up to burritos(portion size) or Mediterranean plates.

I wish I could give this place negative stars. By far the most OFFENSIVE meal I’ve had in my entire life! Kid working had blonde hair and there was black hair in my food, the fries were completely inedible and god knows what time of day they were made(no deep fryer so they take 30 min in the oven), the salad was rotten, and the portion was a tiny gyro and 15 French fries. $ 40 later I’m still starving and now on the verge of vomiting. Not to mention they were out of everything pretty much. DONOTGOHERE. THISISNOT A JOKE.

The meat is meh. The produce is sub par. I’ve had better at pretty much every other gyro place I’ve been to. This place is a little too expensive for the portion sizes and sub par ingredients.

My friends frequent the phở restaurant next door, so my wife and I have always been curious about Go Go Gyro. We wanted take-out for lunch last Sunday, so we gave it a try. $ 10 lamb/beef gyro combo(includes fries and any drink) $ 6.95 lamb/beef gyro(sandwich only) $ 4.50 hummus $ 1.50 pita The total after tax was almost exactly $ 25. This is not good value for Greek/Mediterranean food. This would have been fine if the food had been delicious. As we waited for our order though, my wife observed that nothing was made fresh. The crinkle-cut fries had been sitting in a basket. The gyro meat and onion were pre-sliced. The pita had been sitting around. It still took a while to get our order, because the cashier had to assemble the gyros… but again, the ingredients were not freshly cut. Not looking good. Lo and behold, the fries(which resembled the frozen Ore-Ida crinkle-cut variety) were super oily, cold, and flavorless. The gyro was okay but may have disagreed with my stomach. The pita was cold, not fluffy, and tasted like baking soda or baking powder. The hummus included whole chickpeas, which was kind of strange. food: 2 stars value: 2 stars service: 3 stars overall: 2 stars I’ve concluded that this place is one big no-no. If you asked me to return, I’d be a no-show. Both the prices and the food make it a no-go. At only two stars, it isn’t even so-so. Inquiring minds are desiring to know, though: If they don’t cook the food fresh, why is it so slow?

Just had the lamb/beef gyro and I enjoyed it. It’s freshly made and looks like it is made with care. Kudo’s to Go Go Gryo! One bite and you think yeah, pretty good: fresh yogurt, fresh onions, plenty of meat and carefully wrapped in a pita. $ 6.95 for some afternoon quality. I tried one of the juices in the front counter, the brand is Loux, Hellenic quality since 1950 says the website, def. Greek. The label says 20% juice, your choice of lemon, orange or berry. I went for the orange and I have to say it was tastey and at $ 1.75 for six ounces a treat for myself. Their baklava’s look very yummy; next time! Décor: clean, minimal. Customer service: fine. Parking: ok.

Food is really good but its not very«filling». I ended up ordering the chicken pesto panini and the rice pudding to quiet my tummy rumbling :) cheap food though and fast service! Highly recommended! Note — the inside ambience isnt that great. Just couple of chairs and tables. The outside is better with fire pits and seating.

One of my fav spot in mountain view. Their gyro is good as well as Panini. Healthy, fresh made, yummy, good service and with reasonable price!

Had lunch here and we ordered the specials(Greek meatball & Pastito), which included«Greek» salad. While the meat/pasta part of the meals were good, but the salad had limp, rusty romaine lettuce. Of course, if it were a true Greek salad there wouldn’t be any lettuce at all. I thought there would be unsweetened ice tea, but there wasn’t any, so I drank the bottled stuff that was really too sweet for me(I did ask before I placed my order, but guess I should have checked for myself). Maybe if I had ordered the Gyro and skipped the salad, I might have had a better experience. There is only 1 or is it 2 tables inside, the rest are outside, so it worked on a sunny day. Otherwise, be prepared for take-out. There are so many other, better Mediterranean style restaurants to choose from, so I’ll be headed in their direction in the future.

My eyes are bigger than my stomach…(come on, this is not only my problem but yours too, right!!!) I just had dinner next door at Phở Vi Hoa, but I noticed the piping hot stuffed peppers from the glass window and shame on me… I never had a stuffed pepper before so I was intrigue, especially looking at the SIZE… the peppers were huge! I walked in and got an order of the stuffed pepper and I also got the cheese pie(it’s like an apple strudel but filled with cheese instead of apples). The stuffed pepper was $ 10 and some change and the cheese pie was about $ 3.50. Food is not dirt cheap, Los Altos pricing. The cheese pie was just ok. a little flat and I had a hard time finishing the even a couple bite in one sitting. It’s been a couple days and half of it is still sitting in my fridge. It would be better if they added additional texture or balance it with a little sweetness. say add mushroom or pine nuts or thinly sliced dry fig?! Now, the stuffed pepper. Supposedly it was stuffed with meat and rice. But I mostly tasted just RICE, lots of RICE. I did bite into a few of pine nuts and it gave that nutty texture, loved it. and I wish there were more nuts! The potatoes that came as a side was a little to plain, need more salt. All in all, an ok place to grab a quick bite, maybe I’ll try their Gyro next time.

What brought me here was actually Groupon. I purchased a $ 12 voucher for: 2 gyros, 2 drinks, and 2 desserts. I could not pass up two meals for that price. I’ve actually passed by Go Go Gyro countless times while making my way to Phở Vi Hoa. I was always kind of curious, but not curious enough to actually eat there. All that changed with the help of Groupon. Go Go Gyro is located inside the shopping center on the corner of San Antonio and El Camino Real. It’s literally right next to Phở Vi Hoa if that helps. As far as the establishment itself, it’s not too huge. Inside, there are about 3 tables for people to dine-in, and about 4 – 5 more outside. This place does get a little crowded during weekday lunch hours. Otherwise, it’s pretty empty. As far as prices go, gyros run you roughly around $ 7. I decided to go with the lamb/beef gyro, which is a classic. The lamb/beef gyro came out within a matter of minutes. It was loaded with 5 – 6 fat pieces of gyro meat, tomatoes, onions, and of course, tzatziki sauce. The gyro was pretty fluffy, and the meat was juicy enough. However, the meat kind of reminded me of my old college dining commons gyro. That can’t be a great sign right? For dessert, I decided to go with the rice pudding. Aside from the cinnamon powder on top, overall, it tasted a little on the bland side. For $ 4, I’d probably not go with it again in the future. Go Go Gyro isn’t a bad spot if you’re looking to grab something quick to go. However, being that it is right next door to Phở Vi Hoa, and relatively close to Mediterranean Wraps, I can’t really see myself feinding to come back unless there’s another Groupon deal.

One word: SPANAKOPITA! If you haven’t had it then put it on your bucket list of food to try! It’s basically a puff pastry filled with spinach, herbs, and feta cheese. Once you have one bite, your hooked. Anything in a puff pastry taste good but the mix of spinach and feta cheese give a great flavor profile. I also had their pita bread and it was probably one of the best pita’s I’ve had in a long time. It was warm, soft, and flaky. I dipped it in the creamy tzatziki dip and it was just awesome. Go Go Gyro don’t ever go away anytime soon cause I’m hooked on your food.

I love Greek food. I lived on Crete as a child and have such fond memories of restaurants there… granted, when we moved back to the States I never wanted to touch it again because I was so sick of it, but the love returned quickly. The display case reminds me of Greece. I loved picking out the choices from the display case as a child. Somehow, in Greece, the options looked tastier though. I ordered a bunch of things as a taste test here: Chicken Gyro, Egg Lemon Soup, Stuffed Grape Leaves and a Santorini Salad. Results were mixed. I enjoyed the chicken gyro. I enjoyed the Stuffed Grape Leaves. Didn’t enjoy the Santorini Salad ATALL, not did I care for the soup. Both had textural issues and were quite mushy. I would stop in again for lunch and grab a gyro, but that is about it.

I give up, the little Mediterrean cafes in the Peninsula stink. –The quality of feta in the Greek salad was really bad, no flavor, the Italian dressing was ODD –Hummus needs more olive oil –Chicken gyro was a dry piece of chicken breast, very similar to BOILED chicken, then it’s FILLED with tzatziki, I love me some yogurt, but it was WAY too much. Nothing green in it, just some slices of tomato & onion. Not good. –The bf thought the Chicken gyro was better than the gyro, ‘nuf said. –Moussaka was $ 6 for a small square, it was mainly hardened bechamel. The worst I’ve ever had. –Pita was hard, dry and not warm. Their merchandising is smart, deli style, bowls w/product and tags designating them. Too bad everything tastes premade.
