I am also surprised that there are not many reviews for Dr. Welsh. Most people are probably like me and intend to write when we have the time. I have been a patient of Dr. Welsh for many years. He has been very patient with me and eager to help me. I have a series of problems and when one issue is helped, another issue flares up. I even tried the Stanford pain clinic to see if they had any different advice when Dr. Welsh stopped taking my insurance. That was a very unpleasant experience and I couldn’t wait to get back to Dr. Welsh in spite of paying out of pocket. I can’t say enough good things about him. He listens without rushing you and I highly recommend him for anyone suffering from chronic pain. I also have to say the front desk is wonderful also. I also had a question about billing once and I got that resolved quickly also. If you are looking for a wonderful doctor for your chronic pain, Dr. Welsh is the best.

Dr. Welsh performed a series of cortisone injections for an extremely painful herniated disc that I suffered with for several months. He is very competent, reassuring, and explains what he is doing and what is going on in plain, understandable English. I’m surprised that there aren’t more reviews for this Dr., who is far and away the best I have seen for this condition. He uses a method that that was developed at Stanford University which is leaps and bounds an improvement over the typical approach. He uses a very thin needle that is practically painless, and instead of having to go through the back to get to the middle of my neck, he placed the needle in the side and reached the area directly. I hope this review gets the word out about Dr. Welsh and the rest of the pain group to which he belongs.
