I just looked it up to possibly hold a luncheon in a couple months. I am SO sad to see that this place is CLOSED! I held my bridal shower here & it was absolutely perfect. GREAT wines, delicious food & great service. Darn!

Cool spot great for wine tasting, dates or hanging with friends. Good small bites and an incredible selection of wines. Sad to see this place close but not overly surprised because their prices were my only knock and it was a big one. $ 7 – 9 for a 1.7oz tasting of brussels sprouts & bacon is a little up there IMO. The staff was super knowledgeable and helpful and actually knew their stuff when it comes to wines they stock. The owner was extremely friendly and was hanging around greeting customers and chatting with people the three times we’ve been there. The wine prices were decent but the food & tapas prices were borderline disrespectful for what you got. Still a sad day to see them go since they were close to home for us.

We had so much fun trying all the different wines! I ordered the steak with chimi churri and it was completely delightful. The food was amazing and the service very friendly. I’m definitely coming back soon!

Passing thru the area on a Saturday night around 6pm, my Babe and I decided to stop and have some wine, not knowing its a little low key winery spot. We didn’t have reservations but we’re still able to get in and get a table. Everyone was nice and welcoming. It’s a small intimate place with candles lit. We got a bottle of wine and relaxed listening to the music playing. This place is really relaxing and nice. They have some appetizer foods. They also have a wine tasting machine, where you can choose and pick different wines to taste. We really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely go back. Glad we stopped here

Twas looking for a GNO spot where we could wine and dine for longer than humanly necessary for dinner. Thank you, 3Twenty Wine Lounge :) The restaurant was compact and quiet in the beginning. Of course after some glasses of wine, guests(or we) seemed to rowdy up a little more but keeping table conversations at a medium volume of course. We were probably the loudest group in there and dining in the middle of the room didn’t help us out in the small space. I appreciated the kind server who allowed us girls to catch up an extended amount of time before placing our orders. You were far too kind! Once we were ready, we tried: *Dishes Cheese Plate — artisinal cheeses with quince jam Cheese Plate — burrata with heirloom tomato and pomegranate gastrique Chicken Entrée — rotisserie chicken with veggies Filet Mignon — with frites *Wines We each tried a different wine option and shared The plates were good! Next time I’ll focus more on their wine pairings and try out their über cool wine dispenser, as I’m sure that’s where I’ll really be impressed!

Walked in on a random weekday and got a wonderful education in wine. As a bonus, we had some great food to match!

What I got/get: Lots of vino Diver scallops Petite filet mignon pieces The good news: The 4 stars is for the wine dispensers and how I’m in love with this idea! You receive a card and you simply go up to the dispenser, insert the card, choose the wine, and voila… a taste is served in your glass. Of course all the wines vary in price and there’s a description above each one to find out the flavors and elements of each wine. The rose was amazing and Edgar ended our meal with a special taste of white on the house! It was definitely a cool experience, and I look forward to seeing more places take on this idea. ;) Also, street parking is free after 7pm so come after then if you don’t want to deal with the parking struggles of LA. The bad news: I do wish their food menu was a bit more extensive. We ordered the scallops and filet mignon pieces and were a little underwhelmed especially since the prices are a bit steep. Regardless, you can tell they definitely list a menu that will match well with all the wines, so an overall great experience.(We did leave a little hungry since we couldn’t afford getting a bunch of tapas haha).

I give 4 stars only because I’ve only had the wine by the glass and some cheese. But, what I’ve had and the service I’ve gotten is worthy of 5 stars. We went last week and had a glass of wine before my wife’s birthday. She had a glass of the Domaine De La Chapelle Chardonnay. FANTASTIC. I had a nice glass of their Malbec and then we had the cheese plate. Four types of cheese and some freshly baked bread. Good selection of cheeses, so we were happy. Well thought out plate. Service was great and parking was unexpectedly easy on La Brea at 7PM on a Friday. look forward to go back and try more and give that 5 star review.

If I started with 5 stars, and took one away for every time we were disappointed in something, there might be no stars left. But 2 full stars would go to the culinary staff for putting together outstanding dishes. The hostess was sweet– greeted us, sat us, walk away(halfway), turned around and muttered«oh, your server will be right with you, I forgot to say that line.» Ah, did you also rehearse how to fix an awkward situation? We waited about 10 minutes until a server comes by. Any possible wine selections that I questioned were all«really good.» Perhaps he couldn’t see what item I was pointing to on the menu, because his hair kept falling in his face and he kept having to fix it and push it aside. We put in an order for the charcuterie platter, and the sea bass and scallops for entrees. Done deal. Now we wait… We waited. No follow-up from the server in regards to how our wine was. I wanted to tell him mine tasted a little flat — as if it had been opened for too long. But I couldn’t get his attention even if all I wanted to do was to tell him his hair was on fire. A runner comes out from the kitchen, holding a charcuterie plate, drops it at the next table with zero confidence that it actually belonged to that table. We knew it was ours. Ten minutes later, that table’s actual appetizer showed up, and the charcuterie platter goes back to the kitchen, past our server, whose name we didn’t know, but I’m sure the table he was courting knew plenty well. He sees the charcuterie platter go back into the kitchen, he stops the runner half way and mutters something, the runner goes in the kitchen, and the platter is not to be seen again for another 20 minutes. We’re now at 40 minutes into our meal — no appetizer, no table-touch from the server. Server doesn’t come by to tell us about the mistake, even though we watched the entire thing happen. At Some point, I asked another server to assist with checking on our platter, no avail. Don’t worry, our server was so concerned when he was informed by the second server that he decided to nod a few times, and continue his conversation with his two ladies he was courting. Charcuterie platter finally comes out. By now, my flat wine has diminished down to the last sip, and the server comes by to say«Guys, sorry for all that confusion. Your charcuterie platter ended up at the next table…» I say back to him: «I know, we saw.» Five minutes later, our entrees showed up. Again, no table-touches from the server to ask whether or not everything was okay. Well, it wasn’t. Should we have expected there to be a few pieces of fish bones floating in a bite of couscous? Is there another glass of wine that I can perhaps try? How about bread for the pâté? Can we have another mini-loaf? After another 20 minutes, he finally made an appearance. Thank goodness. Close me out, maybe then I’ll know what your name Is. We want to get out of this place. Check lands. Not a «thank you» from the server. He was too busy trying to go back to the table with the ladies… Birthday dinner? Oh, the server was well aware it was C’s birthday. Did he care? No. Thank you — 3twenty. Next time, let your machines do the serving. Maybe your servers can learn a thing or two about service and hospitality from the machines.

For this type of set up, I guess I should have expected the prices to be as high as they were but honestly, it is way over priced. I’ve been to really exceptional places where these size of plates are affordable BECAUSE they are small. Here, you pay for a full priced dish for half the size. I get it. Great marketing concept for getting the customer to pay more but I think I’m good. The wines, especially for 5:00pm during the week, were good but don’t expect a happy hour. The food was ok. Again, for those prices, I just don’t see the worth. I don’t even want to come back to see how much the pours from the taps would be. I’m sure that would be well over the top. How much was our bill? We had 2 glasses of wine each and 2 small appetizer plates. It was over $ 100 bucks.

I went here with my son and hubby last night for DineLA. Here are my thoughts: Good: — friendly to kids, even if it’s a wine bar — great wine selections and I love the dispensaries — not too expensive — easy valet system on Curbed Bad: — service can be a little slow — food tasted bland — worst of all, seafood was SPOILED! This pretty much ruined what would have been an OK meal. I had one bite of the scallops and thought, hmm, why does it give off such a strong blue cheese taste? I took another bite and same thing. I tasted the sauce by itself to see if it has any blue cheese but it didn’t, so I knew it was the scallops. My tongue started getting really itchy so I stopped eating it. I asked my hubby to try it and he experienced the same thing. The waitress came by and said they would bring me a new plate so I waited another 10 mins, which was a wait but fine. I bit into the new scallops and same thing. There was something seriously wrong with the scallops. The waitress said no one else had complained that night but said she would bring me anything else on the menu to replace the scallops. The prawns were fine though they were super bland. At least they weren’t going to make me sick! Liked that they were accommodating but given the screw-up, I would have thought they would make up by comping even a small thing, like drinks. I googled the scallop smell and discovered that bad scallops taste like ammonia, which was the strong smell I was getting. The scallops also had a pink tinge, which I just learned was also a sign of bad scallops. Really wanted to like this neighborhood spot as it wasn’t too far from our place but after such a bad experience, not coming back.

I have to admit I was thoroughly disappointed in this place. I have been wanting to come here for so long and I finally was able to get a couple friends together to do so. I work nearby so I killed some time before getting there when they opened at 5:30. First off, the atmosphere and ambience was lacking and it was very dark for the first hour that we were there until they put on the lights. I have to admit I do love the concept of trying different wines but I think this place is way to overpriced. We got a cheese plate with hardly any cheese on it and it was $ 20! However, the service was really great and they were constantly checking on us which was appreciated. We ended up just getting the cheese plate because we saw how small the portions were and they did not match the price. We had dinner down the street at an awesome Mexican restaurant. Overall, overpriced and dull.

I just joined Unilocal b/c I wanted to write about 3Twenty Wine Lounge. My husband and I have been dining here since it opened. We’ve spent wonderful evenings here by ourselves and with friends. We’ve never had anything but a superb experience. 3Twenty is truly a reflection of owner Edgar’s heart. He has created a warm and welcoming atmosphere and you are invited to truly enjoy yourself. 3Twenty has 3 enomatic wine dispensers. What a luxury for diners. An enomatic gives you the opportunity to try small pours of many different types of wine. For new wine drinkers this is one of the very best ways to find out just what you like to drink. It also gives you the opportunity to pair different wines with your food. You can also order wines by the glass and bottle. Edgar has a deep understanding and love of wine, which he loves to share with the world. He will be very happy to help you pair a wine to your food. The kitchen at 3Twenty has just been through a change and there is an updated menu. We tried it Tuesday night and were very happy. The duck pâté was sublime, served with rustic bread and onions done in a balsamic reduction. We had a 1998 Gran Reserva Rioja w/the pâté. What a pairing. We have Edgar to thank for introducing us to this wine. All the other dishes we ordered were just delicious. Mussels in a broth of wine and tomatoes, lovely prawns that were meaty and buttery, tender scallops in a sauce that will just knock you out. I drank Sancerre w/these dishes & my husband drank Grenache Blanc. Both were excellent pairings for these dishes. O, almost forgot the Brussels sprouts w/bacon and blue cheese! We finished every tasty morsel. Too full for dessert, we finished off the evening w/luscious glasses of Madeira, compliments of Edgar, in honor of my husband’s birthday. We entrusted this important occasion to 3Twenty b/c Edgar & his staff work so hard to ensure their customers have a great experience. We had just that! Dining at 3Twenty is like being invited to a dinner party at Edgar’s home. You feel very welcome, cared for, and appreciated. I hope you enjoy your dinner here, as well. See you at the enomatic!

First and foremost, the service here is fantastic. Edgar, the owner, was extremely accommodating and friendly. And our servers were extremely efficient. Their menu is rather limited but the food that we tried was excellent: Crispy Chickpeas with Rosemary, Warm Olives and Herbs, Gruyère Crackers — I love that we got this for free(when you check-in on Unilocal), the flavors and texture almost reminded me of Corn Nuts. Tiger Prawns, Bacon, Arugula, and Paprika Oil — HUGE prawns, great flavor(you can’t go wrong with bacon) and the paprika oil provided a subtle amount of heat Braised Lamb Poutine — this was definitely the best dish of the night, the lamb was excellent and I loved the spices, the fries were great, but some of them were soaked in the lamb juices which made for great flavor but slightly soggy fries Skillet Steak with Roquefort Butter — the steak was cooked nicely but was lacking in flavor a bit Clams in White Wine Sauce — this was a really nice dish to share because there was a hefty amount of clams and the sauce/soup was great for bread dipping. Absolutely fantastic flavor. Halibut, Olive and Parsley Pesto, Dijon Emulsion — this was ok, but not very memorable Cookie and Ice Cream — I wasn’t a huge fan of the cookie but the ice cream was great(I haven’t met an ice cream I didn’t like)

3Twenty Wine Lounge was my first ever experience at a wine bar, and now the standard is quite high for all others! I went with a couple of my girlfriends and one of them is a regular so she knows the owner, Edgar, quite well. We had a reservation but unfortunately, another party was there longer than expected and Edgar actually came out to us and apologized profusely and told us that we would be taken care of when we got in and we were! It was packed when we entered and the servers seemed busy, but we had no complaints. We tried the Dine-LA menu and I had the potato leek soup, the burrata, the braised lamb with pasta and the pistachio gelato. I loved the soup and the burrata but found the braised lamb to be a little saltier for my taste. I thoroughly enjoyed the gelato! I had a great time walking around the wine bar and reading the recommendations for each wine. They are descriptive and Edgar is knowledgeable and gives great recommendations. I would definitely go there again! Parking is valet and there are meters along the street.

I came here with a friend as kind of a «spur of the moment» type thing and it ended up being a fantastic decision… Staff and servers were very kind and informative… Very clean bathrooms… evidently the women’s room has some very strong lavender lotion made available… very strong… just saying;) Despite being busy, we were seated pretty quickly, and, exactly where we wanted to sit We ordered the scallops and the roasted chicken… wow. I’m not a huge scallop person but I may be now… easily the best seared scallops I have ever had… And the chicken… delicious…served with mouth watering carrots and potatoes… The wine… what can I say… What a great«varied» selection… most memorable was the 2010 Schloss Lieser Riesling that we drank alongside the scallops, and the Graham’s Vintage Porto 1980 which was such a treat. These wines and food made us so happy… the kind of happy where you keep talking about them for the entire drive home… and even after midnight as we grabbed some donuts… we were still discussing the wine;) We will be back… sooner than later

I really don’t understand why this place has 4.5 stars… First of all, when we showed up, the hostess didn’t have our reservation written down even though I had called earlier and the guy on the phone took down my name, phone number, confirmed with me and everything. But for some reason or another, when we showed up, they had lost it. They were also fully booked for the night inside. Ugh. So we sat outside in their patio which had a pretty bleak ambience, especially since the candle on the table wasn’t even lit, and it’s right on the street so it was SUPER loud. It also took forever to even get our menus. We tried the wine tasting thing inside where you push in a card they give you and you get 1.7 oz pours of different wines of your own choosing, all different prices. The amounts add up and then you pay for the total at the end. Cool concept, earning this place an extra star. Otherwise, I’d have only given them 1 star. I was hoping the food would help redeem the horrible service towards the beginning of the night, but sadly it was mediocre. We shared the crispy chickpeas(free after you check in on Unilocal), brussel sprouts, burrata w/olive tapenade and garlic confit, and tiger prawns wrapped in bacon. Everything tasted either really bland or mediocre. We could have ordered more but we were so unhappy with the food and service that we just wanted to get out of there ASAP. What a waste of $ 65! Never again.

This was stop number 2 on my Dine LA day. We came in on an impromptu visit, so we were pleasantly surprised they took us in. It’s quite intimate and dark inside, The ambiance absolutely spelled romance and fou fou all over it’s dimly lit corners. We were suggested great wines although I am not a wine connoisseur so I could be gravely mistaken. We were also able to take advantage of a Unilocal check in for their crispy chickpeas. These were surprisingly yummy! For the short time we were there, it was a solid experience. Although I’m not(yet) an avid wine drinker, I may may the exception just to stop in for a visit.

If you like exploring new wines without a lot of downside, 3Twenty is a great place for you to setup shop whether it be for 30 minutes or an entire evening. The interior is dimly lit and welcoming. Most tables seat either 2 – 4 people. It’s a nice destination for dinner and drinks. What may catch your eye the most are the carousels of wine machines in the front of the lounge. If you’ve been to one of these wine bars before, you know the drill. You’re handed a key card, which you insert into the machine. Select any wine you’d like and you’re offered a small 2oz pour. The beauty in all of this is that you can sample dozens of wines that you’d never try. Furthermore, several of these bottles would be too pricey to consume on our own, but with the key card system, you can partake in some very fine wines without having withdraw from your kid’s college fund. It’s incredibly fun and gets you up and walking, chatting with other guests — it’s a lovely experience. I found 3Twenty’s wine selection to be remarkably eclectic. A nice selection spanning Italian, Portuguese, French, Californian, Australia — just to name a few. I only did sample their meat and cheese plate as an appetizer, but the quality was excellent and worth the price point, which I initially thought was a bit steep. The waitstaff was welcoming and helpful. I will definitely be coming back to 3Twenty again.
