I’ve been taking this class for several years now, following Joseph from location to location and it is 100% worth it. Class is fun, a great workout, upbeat, good for all levels… I cannot say enough good things. The first half of class is a high energy cardio workout to showtunes. If you knew me you’d know why I love it so much. The combos are easy to follow and modifications are given for everyone. Joseph is a master at making people feel welcome. We have people in class who have been on Broadway, people who have never danced before in their lives, and everyone in between. The second half of class teaches a combo to a song from a Broadway show and he mixes that up every week. Even when I am not familiar with the song, it’s a great workout for my body AND my brain. Joseph is amazing and this class is my absolute favorite. You will sweat and you will have a blast… what more can you ask for in an exercise class?

If you love to dance, sweat, and just have a good time, the 5−6 – 7-Broadway class is for you. It is difficult for me to put into words not only how amazing this class is, but how amazing it makes you feel. Joseph makes everyone feel like a star in this judgement free workout space. The best thing about this class is that it’s suited for any dancer — from aspiring beginner to expert professional. Anyone and everyone can get an amazing workout and enjoy this class. The goal for each class is to just keep moving and do your best work. Every time I leave with a smile on my sweaty face. Nitty-gritty details: Wear comfortable clothes you can move and sweat in along with tennis shoes. A small towel and water are also a must. Whether you are just starting your fitness journey or wanting to add something new to your routine, 5−6 – 7-Broadway does not disappoint. Well done 5−6 – 7-Sweat team!

I’ve been dancing with Joseph for about a year now and I can’t say enough amazing things about him and 5−6−7SWEAT! I’m a former dancer. I grew up in a professional ballet company so dance was a part of my life from the time I could walk. When I got diagnosed with a congenital joint syndrome in my teens, I was told I couldn’t dance again – which was devastating news. While I didn’t miss the cutthroat dance world, I missed moving and feeling the happiness and confidence dance brought me. I looked into joining some non-professional classes but the teachers weren’t receptive to my limitations. Enter Joseph and 5−6−7SWEAT! From my first class I knew I’d found something I’d stick with forever. The class, first off, is so much fun. I can show up in a bad mood and by ten minutes in, I’m smiling. Joseph’s attitude is exceptional; he’s friendly, encouraging, supportive, and energetic. There is never a sense of competition or shame in this class and it’s really open to all levels; there are other former dancers like me, as well as older people trying to stay in shape and people trying to lose weight with absolutely no dance background. All are welcome and treated as equal. You’ll also get an AMAZING work out. I’m a very in shape person(I work out consistently and am also a competitive archer and downhill skier) and this class continually kicks my butt in the best way. Joseph gives modifications for more intense moves like jumps or lunges for those with physical limitations, which is very helpful. An emphasis is placed on proper physical form over skill, making sure all of us can get stronger safely without injury. The environment of the class is so uplifting and fun. It truly feels like a safe space where you can come and dance, exercise, and express yourself without any fear of judgment, competition, or shame. It’s truly a beautiful family of people. 5−6−7SWEAT! allows you to dance like nobody’s watching in a room full of people, which is something rare and exciting.
