Very Simple. I walked into the 7-Eleven, bought a hot dog from the deli, and then walk to the check out area. I see that the store has ketchup packets over the counter so I ask for some. The clerk tells me that they do not give individual ketchup packets. He tells me that I have to buy a whole bottle of ketchup. I tell the clerk that I am buying food. I ask why should I not get some ketchup packets. He tells me again that they do NOT give them out and that I have to buy a bottle. WHYDOESTHIS7-ELEVEN HAVEKETCHUPPACKETSTHATAREVISIBLETOCUSTOMERSTHEN?! If anything, this 7-Eleven needs to make clear that their ketchup packet policy is unlike any other restaurant. Apparently they are too cheap to give them out to customers who buy deli food. Unilocalers, make sure you bring your OWN ketchup packets before coming to this 7-ELEVEN ^__^ haha!

This place always has the best snacks! I love buying muscle milk and beef jerky here. This is my protein headquarters.

Ever been yelled at by a 7 Eleven clerk because you did not scratch off the information part of your scratcher ticket? I can add that to my list thanks to this location and the grumpus who is working today at 12:15 pm, December 3rd. Then asked to «get out of the way» HAHA.

It’s a 7-Eleven. What do you want from me? There’s plenty of selection for beverages, snack foods, slurpees, and there’s even a little section for groceries and other household supplies. Also there’s some hot food items behind the counter that will probably taste great but won’t agree with your stomach in a few hours. The floors are a little dirty, there’s parking out front, and there’s a Redbox at this location. Have you ever been in a 7-Eleven before? It’s that. They’re all the same.

On New Years Eve I, like many others, found myself departing festivities at 2am with a growling stomach. Unfortunately I re-realized that on New Years Eve every food place is either closed or overflowing with a 1.5 hour line out the door. As I became more and more desperate to ease my growling stomach I remembered. 711 is just down the street(reminder: 711 is always just down the street). So I picked up some Takis, a banana and a large fountain soda and I was set! Just another testament to the reliability and consistency of 711 stores. The Sunset Blvd Echo Park 711 is unique from other 711s because management appears to have partnered with a local battalion of LAPD to collaborate on a convenience store/police department hybrid. I come here all the time(because I live and work just a 5 minute walk away) and I’d say that there is at least one set of police officers in this place 50% of the time and often there’s a group of 5 or 6 of them chatting it up around the coffee bar. It’s kind of disturbing to image the PD-manhours spent here sipping coffee and chewing tobacco. A word to the wise: If you’ve ever had an inkling of fear that in the case of emergency your 911 call may be met with a busy signal or 45 minute response time. write down the number of this 711 right now, because there’s a pretty good chance the clerk could dispatch at least a couple of officers right then and there. Thankfully I live just a couple blocks away. and I’ve never felt more secure. Thank you 711PD Echo Park division!

(Snacked 06÷15÷13SA @ 1:00pm): Oh thank heaven, you’re my midway point on my jog between Echo Park Lake and my pad! I’ve passed this 7-Eleven on Sunset Blvd. in the Sunset Square strip mall constantly whether I was driving or out for a jog and only now did I finally stop in to check out the Slurpee selection. I was coming back from seeing the re-opening of the revitalized Echo Park Lake, the weather had warmed-up rather quickly, and I needed something for the rest of the walk at this point to my pad. I entered through the front door like I was the boss — I flung both doors open — scoped out where the Slurpee machine was(walk straight ahead then in the left corner), cased the offerings, locked into the large cup($ 1.79), and grabbed hold of the dispensers of frozen colorful goodness. First, it was the Watermelon Wallop, then limited-time only Oddball Orange, next the Wild Cherry(each of these Fanta products), then a sugar-free Sprite(Coke product), before I capped it with the see-through plastic cover and topped it off with more Oddball Orange, so it spilled out through the hole.
Man, this concoction was so sugary sweet it would’ve made the tooth fairy cringe with pain. The Oddball Orange and Wild Cherry completely overpowered the other two flavors. With brain-freeze in full-effect, it was time to head-out as I continued on my journey home. Yeah, there I was decked out in my jogging threads as I walked with a 32-ouncer of high-calorie fat-building tastiness. Oh, the irony! Service — I was the only customer and I knew what I came for so outside of the male Indian cashier who quickly handled my purchase, all was good. Heck, I could’ve just self checked-out myself. Parking — They shared a relatively small lot with six other business — three of which were restaurants — so I’d imagine it may be tough at times. Otherwise, there was plenty of metered street parking along the main drag of Sunset Blvd. or free parking on the surrounding side streets. You were able to enter the parking lot through two openings, a definite plus. Overall, I’m glad I finally stopped into this 7-Eleven after the numerous passings and got me my Slurpee fix, which was usually the only thing other than lottery tickets I would buy at any 7-Eleven; maybe an impulse candy or bag of chips buy. I found good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above(total bill was around $ 2.00; no tip required), but I was disappointed in the lack of selection — only six flavors! The atmosphere, décor, and ambience was like any other 7-Eleven with bright fluorescent lighting coupled with natural lighting that shot through the windowed walls, several stocked aisles with candies, snacks, toiletries, reading materials, etc. Refrigerated items such as sandwiches and drinks were along the walls, and the warm foods up at the front counter. This had to be one of the cleanest 7-Eleven’s I’ve ever been in! The usual promotional displays were on the walls. I didn’t recall seeing a TV. The attire was totally casual so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. And they accepted my credit card of choice… AMEX!

Good selection where all the employees are nice and likely to ask how your day is. Also, there are almost always cops there so it’s likely that it’s the safest place in town second to the police station itself.

i pride myself of being a connoisseur of 7 – 11 locations. so, for me to give this one the coveted 5 stars most 7−11s only dream of is saying something. in fact, what it is saying is that this is my favorite 7 – 11 of all time ever. i don’t say that just because it’s conveniently located near my home, but rather, because it is rad. it’s got everything i need, always has fresh coffee(fully stocked with many options for my coffee preparation needs), and the staff is just rad. they’re polite and nice, without being creepy. the parking lot is well lit, and i’ve never felt unsafe when visiting this 7 – 11 in the wee hours of the night, as i often do. they stop selling alcohol at like midnight, but that still doesn’t blemish their standing with me.

Munchies late night, so of course we ended up here. The usual… Agua, Ben&Jerrys, King size Twix, and 7-eleven brand chips. They mastered munchie recreation. Pretty damn satisfying. Plenty of parking at this location. 7-eleven is the corner hooker of all convenient stores. You get what you pay for and it’s always open no matter what hood you’re in.

1-Your rotating weiners glisten just right. always tempting me. 2-You have coffee… cheap. I can ignore the warning of «limit 2 a day» on the caffeine shots and put three in my coffee… you let me make a mess if I decide to make my coffee iced… dumping ice in my almost full cup, showering the drink tray with coffee. Over the counter guys… thanks for just smiling as I fumble with my coffee and not give me dirty looks.

screw starbucks, coffee bean, daily grind, groundworks, and all other coffee joints… 7 – 11COFFEEISUNBEATABLE!!! i chose this 7 – 11 to review because my lovely, dear Peer works here. Peer is a gentle soul who moved here recently from India and works in this location EVERYDAY. each time i walk in Peer has a bright smile for my 8:30am commute into downtown and he knows i like my coffee with 2 splenda’s and french vanilla international delight. the parking here is NEVER a problem and there is no loitering outside this 7 – 11 as much as the other one’s. and.bless my soul, they have REAL milk to put in your coffee if u wish!!! not just cream, but MILK… for those of you that go to 7 – 11 for coffee you know how rare this is to find… anyways, so swing by, pick up a hot cup of coffee and a fresh doughnut(in the am) and be on your way to work… and say hi to Peer for me!!!
