I don’t know what is up with the bad ratings! I got a cheeseburger and 3 fries on the side and everything was pretty great. The cheeseburger is a good size that filled me up and it came with a side salad, and the fries are thick. That, along with a water and an orange soda, cost $ 40. So, yes, it’s overpriced, but methinks it’s the best option around.

Waited for 3 burger orders and 4 fry orders before seeing my burger sit and get cold because the fry supply was depleted and not dropped. Then I was handed my cold burger with fries from a nearby restaurant. When I asked why the fries were different, I was asked if I wanted to wait more for the fries(I was supposed to get) to be done. I should have gotten my money back and walked away. Not worth it. Not happy.

Got the turkey burger and it was completely tasteless. I ended up taking the patty out and just ate the bread with avocado because i didn’t want to throw 14 dollars away. Cheese tasted like glue. Fries were ok but my suggestion is don’t come here

My bf got the platinum burger with fries and a beer for 27 bucks. Yes its pricey bt the size of the burger was big! I took more than a couple bites from his burger because the meat tasted so good. I got food from the kogi BBQ food truck and I wasn’t satisfied. Its super pricey here bt I would definitely eat this before the kogi BBQ next time.

I wish I had checked Unilocal before buying a «Drive-By» burger at the LAX Burger Bar. Although the bacon, grilled onions and Thousand Island dressing on this cheese burger sounded promising, the over-cooked bacon and skimpy toppings made this driest and most tasteless burger I have had in a long time. The fries were okay, though.

$ 11.99 for a plain burger and fries. I guess I should say«plane burger» since that is what it is on the menu. It was ok. Not impressive to look at or particularly good, but not bad for an airport. They have 7 burger options and 3 other sandwiches. They also have quesadillas and shakes.

Burger was good. Service not so much. The employee behind the counter had that«I’m only here because I have to be and you’re cramping my style» attitude that makes you just want to turn around and leave. I nearly did, but stayed the course. Luckily the burger itself was pretty good and made up for the poor customer service even if I did have to wait nearly 20 minutes for it with only three people in line ahead of me. They could use a lot more seating, they share the dining area with one other restaurant and a bar and it makes for cramped uncomfortable eating.

I was just here a couple days ago for a layover and out of all the places available in our terminal, we unfortunately chose Burger Bar. It was lunch time, it was busy, so I was patient. It got to my turn to order(2 burgers and 2 soft drinks) and patiently waited for my order to come up, which ended up being about 10 – 15 minutes. One of the cooks started calling out names for pick-up and when I came to pick up mine, I showed her my receipt and said I had bought 2 soft drinks as well. She rudely told me, «Ma’am you’ll have to wait.» Huh? That’s what I’ve BEEN doing. So I stand there with my food(getting cold/soggy) waiting for someone to get me my drinks. Then alas, the lady who had originally taken my order(Leonora?) comes back to the front and starts pushing buttons on the cash register. I politely ask her if I could please get the drinks I ordered(showing her my receipt), and she mutely flicks her hand up at me and walks away,(apparently that was the sign of «I signed off and am no longer working»). The guy standing next to me who had witnessed everything from the beginning of me getting my food to being refused my drinks loudly says, «What the fuck was THAT?» I laugh and say,“I should probably just go grab my drinks myself! It’s just right there!” He agreed. So I dropped the food off with my husband and marched back there and helped myself to my drinks. The rude cook looks over and says,“EXCUSEME! Do you work here?!” I tell her,“Well, no one wanted to help me get my drinks so I’m getting them myself!” «Well, WE’REBUSY!!» I ignored her and continued with my drinks. This place has EXTREMELYPOOR customer service. Being busy is no excuse for treating customers(who have already handed over their money) poorly. By the time I sat down to eat my food, I was disappointed once again to find the burger dry and the fries rubbery. Should I find myself at this terminal for a layover again I will NOT be giving this place my business. When I heard my husband slurping up the last of his drink I asked,“Need a refill?” I smiled, he laughed, we left.

There is no redeeming quality to this place, other than the beer… maybe. The«grass fed burger» was a grey, rock hard vision of dystopia. The fries were barely a suitable salve for the dissapointment of the burger. Let me stress that the burger was an insulting, pathetic thing; a sad, hapless ending to a(potentially delicious) living animal’s life. I hate writing Unilocal reviews because – well, its Unilocal(i’m sorry you’re reading this) – but this burger put me over the edge. Not recommended.

What a pleasant and very much welcomed surprise! I was about to board my redeye and thought I’d have to settle for a microwave Sbux sandwich, but then I noticed the very busy to-go line for Burger Bar. I was a little nervous to line up since my flight was boarding in 10 minutes, but the staff moved through the orders unexpectedly quick. I ordered the LAX Burger and it came with a large side of fries. The meal ran about $ 12, but it was definitely big enough to share. It came out super hot and fresh, and they packed it all up in an easy to-go box that’s perfect for the plane ride too.

5+ hour flight from LAX was made 100% better after having a tasty, juicy burger at 8oz. I travel for pleasure & work… I have been to and eaten at way too many airport restaurants. 8oz has the best burger by far. I ordered the LAX8oz. Burger with arugula, balsamic onions, crispy smoked bacon, truffle aioli and I substituted the aged cheddar for blue cheese. Everything was fresh — 1000% better than fast food. The bun was fresh, soft and delicious. It was a large portion which is great to be full and satisfied for a long flight. The fries we crisp & tasty too. They also pour my favorite beer Stella Artois. I would recommend this place and go back again. I will try the Short Rib Grilled Cheese next time. Check it out! YUM!

Negative one star, if I could. Excessively long wait, 20 minute to get my food. I expected it to be worth it instead I got fries that had a tiny bit of ice in the middle and a disgusting over –mayo’d BLT. It was a gBLT(get it? Gross bacon, lettuce and tomato.) Now that I think of it I believe there were no tomatoes in it. I threw more than half away. Not worth my money or time– next time at the terminal I will eat at homegirl café.

Burger was ok but honestly not my deal not a big fan of the place any only ate here cause I was waiting on a flight. Food was quick though which was my main priority but would of much rather seen a Farmer Boys burger at the airport much better.

Tucked away around a corner at Terminal 4 near Gate 46. Basically two choices for breakfast, Quesadilla and Egg Sandwich. Quesadilla was not available when I was here. Egg sandwich was not bad. Coffee, bottled water, sodas and beer. No hot tea or cup of water. Advantage was no line.

Slow service and not friendly at all. Very over priced(even for airport food). I thought the good was gross. Fries were oily and limp. My short rib grilled cheese had no flavor. It had avocado smeared on the area it was cut in half, so I’m guessing it’s from another customers order and they used the same knife without wiping it. I would not recommend this place.

Every time I take a redeye, it never fails, but I get hungry before the flight. It doesn’t matter if I ate dinner four hours before… or 1 hour before… or even 30 minutes before getting to the airport. I get hungry so after going through the lovely dance of check-in and security check, I search for food. With the recent renovations, American Airlines Terminal 4 looked pretty nice. In February on my way to Chicago, I was surprised with the food court since it was a huge change from the normal establishments normally found throughout LAX such as McDonald’s, Burger King, Starbucks, etc. Kogi was still under construction so 8oz Burger Bar was the winner. FOOD — 4 Stars: I ordered the 8oz with cheese and some french fries. I thought it was pretty good. The burger was juicy and it was just perfect. I do like it when the cheese is perfectly melted. I ate up that burger so fast like I didn’t eat for an entire week! The french fries were really good. It was like a thicker version of In-N-Out fries, but not quite up to par to their standards… but pretty close. Overall, the quality was pretty good, but I’m not sure if my expectations were low since it is airport food. Regardless, I liked it. The prices are pretty high compared to what everyone is used, but airport food is never cheap. It’s always a premium regardless if it’s a restaurant or fast food. SERVICE — 1 Star: Their service here sucks. There was no one in line and I literally stood there for 2 or 3 minutes waiting for them to realize there was a customer in line. Granted they were doing other things around the area like cleaning and texting, they should still be observant for potential customers. My favorite part was when the cook saw me and without skipping a beat said, «Ugh… I never get a break! I’ve been on the grill nonstop all night!» First off, I understand the frustration you can have when a customer interrupts your texting time on your phone while you’re clocked in. I, too, would be equally upset. Secondly, I would be tired too if I was grilling burgers for long periods of time. After all, it is my job and I’m paid to do this. But I shouldn’t have to make food all night long, right? How dare these customers! I will say that the 1 star is only because the nice woman taking my order was nice when she finally realized I was in line. So, I let that slide due to her kindness. However, the cook’s attitude and blatant rudeness was unacceptable. The food did take a while to come out, but it wasn’t any length of time that I felt was unreasonable. Then again, I had plenty of time to kill and I wasn’t starving. I think it took about 10 minutes or so, which is a tad excessive, but I was indifferent given my aforementioned rationale. ATMOSPHERE — 2.5 Stars: This is a shared food court so it’s quite busy and really cramped. Good luck getting a seat if you’re traveling alone. I was lucky because I could order while someone saved our table. RECOMMENDATION: Granted the quality of food is pretty good from what I had. However, the service was terrible. Anyway, if you are craving a burger and have plenty of time to spare, you can stop by here… otherwise, check out the other food establishments in the area.

I have no idea why there are such low reviews here. The food quality for an airport joint is superb. I ended up getting a mouth watering braised short rib grilled cheese sandwich on sourdough and it was pretty damn good. I really really wanted to give this place four stars but spending almost 20 bucks for a burger, a decent set of Belgian fries, and a drink is a little crazy.
