The business is probably closed. The listed website is invalid. I parked at and stopped by the mini mall just to confirm. What further adds to the confusion is that the mini mall still lists a visual advertisement on the parking lot wall for ‘A Plus Gogi’. Beware the hostile and insolent security guard who will harass you to no end & threaten to pepper spray if you so much as wander close to the perimeter of the premises. In any case, there is no need to come here unless you feel the need to pick a fight with a grumpy old man.

A+ gogi has good quality beef. I went in and bought thinly sliced kobe beef brisket. The workers were very friendly and helpful and gave us lettuce and dips to accompany the beef with. The only thing that was disappointing was that the quality of beef on the bottom was not as good as what was layered on top. There was much more fat in the pieces of beef on the bottom(which was not shown). I would definitely recommend getting beef at this meat market. It is a lot cheaper to buy the beef here and cook at home, compared to going to a restaurant. The quality of beef is also way better than what you would get at a korean bbq restaurant. There is also a lot of parking space so if you are in Koreatown, I would check this place out if you are craving some meat. They also said they offer meat for shabu shabu and have the veggies and other materials prepared. I would like to check this out the next time I go.

very friendly, very clean. The reason for 3 stars is ALL of the meat was frozen. At least ALL of their pork belly was. I asked if they ever had fresh pork belly and was told that it has to be frozen to be cut. I know this is not true so I just politely said thank you and went down the street to the market below the mall and got fresh pork belly for a few dollars cheaper.

This place is really A+ for meat selection and service! They sell fresh premium cuts at an affordable price. You have the option of several different cuts(short rib, brisket, pork belly, everything they have when you eat KBBQ, etc.) including marinated meat and some fish. They even have oxtail! If you are buying in bulk, they suggest to call ahead so they can prepare your order for you. You can also customize your meat(thickness/fattiness) so you know what you’re getting. I love the options here and the staff is a delight to interact with. The owner even gave me tips on marinating and proper refrigeration! I am definitely going to be a frequent shopper here.

At first, I was a bit skeptical when I Unilocaled this place on my new iPhone, but then when my friends and I went, the place was as good as everyone makes it out to be. I think the market just opened or something, because a place this good should be bustling with more people in my opinion. Prices were very fair, I live in NYC so these prices were heaven compared to the garbage prices up there on the East Staff was very friendly, answered my questions and were very understanding; I’m chinese and sometimes don’t really know what i’m buying :\ Definitely coming back!

I’ve eaten my fair share of Korean BBQ in my time. I’ve been to restaurants all across the Los Angeles area, both the city and the suburbs, and even ventured to places further from my house: Orange County, Irvine, and San Diego. I’ve even bought meat from stores and grilled it at home(I know my last name is Jackson, but don’t let that fool you; i was adopted into a Korean household). I was staying at my friend’s place over this past winter and we decided to make some Korean BBQ at his apartment. On the way to the local market, however, we drove past this place and decided to check it out. As soon as I walked in, I was shocked to see that the place was spacious and welcoming. The workers provided excellent service, were helpful, and knew their stuff and were able to answer our questions. I went in expecting it to be a dark and seedy place, but I was quickly and thoroughly proven wrong. They have pretty much any cut of meat you could ask for. And to go with your BBQ, they offer a bunch of seasoning salts and sauces to go with them. With our mouths already watering, my friend and I quickly got back home and began cooking away. The taste and quality of the meat put the restaurants to shame. The tenderness, juiciness and natural flavor trumps anything I have ever tasted before. And with those sauces, there is honestly no need to pay extra to eat at a restaurant. If you want great quality food and a great price, I highly recommend you to check this place out. Will definitely be going back for more.

A Plus Gogi is the place to go to purchase the best meat in Korea town. My roommate and I like pork belly the best, but this store offers so many different selections of meat that you can’t help but want to try different meats. When I went into the store, the owner was very considerate and told me to try different kinds of meat rather than just sticking with pork belly. I listened to his suggestions and bought steak as well as various different types of salts and sauces. He gave me tips and suggestions on how i should cook the steak. Due to the high quality of the steak as well as the advice from the owner, my roommate and I were able to eat a 5 star worthy dinner in our apartments. A Plus Gogi is a very new store, but it definitely leaves a lasting impressions. I’ll definitely be visiting A Plus Gogi soon, and i highly recommend this store to others.
