Alife

Beware! This place no longer exists! Closed a few months ago. I was totally bummed once I traveled to where I thought it would be to find out it was replaced by an Urban Outfitters. Booooo

Came down here w/​a few friends to see Lars Behrenroth spin at SnackBar and didn’t realize Alife had moved right next to it. haha 2 birds in 1 stone!
I thought the new store is cool as usual. Subtle yet trendy. Everything in the store is neatly laid out for you. I know my wallet wasn’t too happy that day!

Not a store for the touchy feely shopper…
As you may have read the products are behind glass (most the time), it really is a case of WINDOW SHOPPING.
But that’s the thing you either love or hate, pretencions maybe! but in a shopping world of the norm this place adds a bit of urban theatre (English spelling).
Great Store and worth a look…

I could see why people like it, and i could see why someone might dislike it…
First of all the parking is sketchy, you either find a spot or you dont, i ended up parking at Amoeba which so happens to be just about a block up from alife…
Since i love amoeba, its like killing two bird with one stone…
THe store itself looks really cool, really modern and hip, not cluttered.
however the stuff is really expensive, about 40 dollars for a shirt, 120 for a sweater. but the stuff here is unique and fresh… the dude working seemed chill…
overall, if your in hollywood and looking for a spot to get some fresh gear, this is the place to go, just make sure you have your credit card!!!

Kanye esque kind of store. If you like giant urinals and awesome shoes… this place is for you. My next visit I will be getting a purple sneaker.

I went to the fairfax location but found out they closed after Thanksgiving, so says dude at this location. Only one person was working, but he got the job done; super helpful. Place was dope, music was crazy loud, selection was great. They didn’t have it behind the glass but out and what not. Reason not a 5 star was the location. Had to travel even further out to just cop a hat I wanted. Prices are expensive!

Very cool, much like other locations. Very distinctly cool here is the giant urinal in the middle. Great minimalist interior, showcases their product well. check it out when you visit space15twenty.
