My daughter ordered a very very expensive couture wedding gown from a small bridal boutique in Beverly Hills. When the dress finally arrived, it needed MAJOR alterations: it was too big and looked like it was «wearing» my daughter. Because the dress had a very low cut back, it needed to really fit like a glove to make the look «work.» However, the dress had a lot of complicated lace, boning, beading, and internal structure that would have to be taken apart completely and re-​worked in order to do this. We were desperate to find an alterations expert who we could really trust to get this job done, and we were advised to see Maria at Angels Bridal.
Maria, the owner of Angels Bridal, has been altering wedding dresses for over 30 years! Not only is she an incredible seamstress with a knack for meticulous craftsmanship and perfecting the smallest details, but she has en extremely keen eye for what it is going to take to make you SHINE in your wedding dress. When my daughter put on her gown and Maria came over to take a look, she immediately knew what needed to be done to the dress to make it fit my daughter perfectly so her body would be highlighted in the most flattering way possible. After she pinned and tucked away, we told Maria that we would need the dress alterations to be done within 2 weeks. We were worried this timeline wouldn’t be possible for such complicated alterations but Maria was extremely accommodating. After the initial fitting, we came back for a second fitting 4 days later, then a final third fitting 3 days after that. Maria was able to totally accommodate our tight schedule and had my daughter’s dress done within 1 week! We were absolutely thrilled and blown away!
We could not be more happy with Maria’s work. I personally have made my own garments and upholstered my own furniture my whole life so I am very familiar with good vs shoddy quality tailoring and I can tell you that Maria’s work is absolutely AS GOOD AS IT GETS. From now on, I will ONLY be going to Angel’s Bridal if I have any expensive formalwear that needs alterations. Maria is incredibly sweet, a pleasure to work with, and so dedicated to accommodating her customers and their needs (many tailors in beverly hills that I visited stated that they could only meet once every 2 weeks for alterations, and their work was nowhere near as good as Maria’s). On top of that, her prices are extremely fair and reasonable.

BEYOND RUDE!
I drove out of my way to a less than desirable community to looks for formal wear. When I walked in the greeting was «What do you want?»
There were no customers and 2 employees.
I shared what I was hoping to find and was told, «we don’t do that.»
I said I was very open minded and then I was asked my dress size.
I said I was a ¹⁰⁄₁₂.
«We don’t have samples that size, only much smaller.»
It was clear that the 2 women wanted nothing to do with me or my money.
