Great product, cozy/inviting space. So happy to support such lovely people. They are so pleasant and hospitable. This mom and pop spot is leaps and bounds higher quality than the corporate options and that alone keeps us coming back. Also love the fact that supporting this place helps keep our money in our community. Support local business, support hard-working members of our community.

Cute little place. Have been coming here since high school which is right across the street. It delicious and have a variety of options. The owner is the nicest lady ever! She’s so sweet and makes you feel like you’ve known her for the longest time. They offer«water of the day», when I went I got a mango, cucumber, it was delicious. Try the chicken nachos, they’re so good!

Such a cute little place! Feels like Grandma’s house and the food and coffee drinks are very flavorful. Customer service was perfection and despite the small space they do let use their restroom. I will definitely be back! I had the Chorizo and Papas Panini and Banana Caramella

What a surprise! This little café is definitely one of the better places to eat in East LA with affordable prices and a wide variety to order from. There are so many different breakfast foods and drinks. I see a lot of companies order catering so that option is available too. My girlfriend and I ordered the Italiano and Pineapple Chipotle paninis and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food for the price we paid. Very good for breakfast and I will definitely be back to try out some of the other panini and sandwiches available! You’ll have to find street parking and it might look a little scary walking around the area looking for the café, but once you get into the café you will feel right at home! I wish I can give bonus points for the Christmas décor throughout the café.

No doubt about it! This place is amazing! I came 3xs in a week to try different foods(panini pineapple chipotle, cilantro-pesto chicken wrap, and I created my own sandwich) All which were delicious! I even got my coworkers ordering from here. Definitely a place to come to for lunch(to go because there is limited seating) or when you are craving something other than plain ol fast food joints. But pleeeeeease change your hours! I work in Hollywood get off at 5p by the time I get into Boyle Heights area it’s already 6:15p. T_T

Really cozy spot nestled in a Boyle heights. I had the chorizo panini and my girlfriend had the stuffed French toast. The panini was really good, had some fresh lettuce, tomato, and red onion on top. The food is affordable, pretty healthy, and provides good, comfortable vines in Boyle heights.

Arctic Hotspot did an amazing job catering my company’s holiday party! They brought not only delicious food and tasty drinks, but also a team of friendly and helpful staff. If you want food made with a lot of heart and at a great price, I highly recommend these guys. We ordered a range of food for 200 guests(including kids), ranging from beef/chicken lasagna, stuffed pasta shells, creamy pesto chicken pasta, roasted vegetables, to tiramisu for dessert. They also provided vegetarian versions of a few dishes, which was helpful to the non-meat-eaters. I was happy that our guests loved the food! The dishes were well-seasoned across the board. (The only suggestion I have would be for the roasted vegetable dish, to maybe cook some of the softer vegetables like green beans for less time than vegetables like brussels sprouts or carrots, so that they stay crisp.) That said, these guys are pros. Thank you again, Jonathan, Sonia, and the rest of the staff, for the wonderful catering job and memorable service!

Great little café! Found it on Unilocal and decided to try it out. We had the chilaquilles and the zucchini pancakes and they were both great. Great decision to try this little café, the service is great and friendly and the food is even better. The café de olla is the best I’ve had. You must come down and try this café.

This is a very cool place we found on Unilocal driving into LA today. Of course, parking is a challenge like most small places in neighborhoods but this place was worth the visit. The ambiance is really cute, decorated for Christmas with Nutcrackers from any and every place the owner could find. She had some I have never seen before, very creative in the design but of course we did not come here for the decorations, we came for the food. They have a very nice menu with coffee’s, Tea’s, Lattes & Frappes, shakes, yogurt blends, Italian soda’s, Smoothies and Natural Juices. The food varies from breakfast items to panini’s, Gourmet Sandwiches, wraps and a nice selection of salads. I tried the wrap-up-my-morning which had eggs, meats and sprouts on a spinach wrap which was AWESOME. It had a great taste and something I would try again. We also had the chilaquilies en salsa Quezada which had a nice kick to it. The coffee, OMG, Chocolate Casero and the Latte were both amazing. They also have a nice selection of pastries. Overall this place is a very nice place with a friendly staff and one I would HIGHLY recommend if you are in the area. They also have a website and they offer free WiFi. A place with GREAT food and drink at very reasonable prices where you can come, sit and feel like family is a place I will definitely return to and recommend.

Okay so my office always orders wraps from here for meetings and they are delicious. So I decided to go for lunch one day and ordered the Strawberry, Mozzarella, Pomegranate, Balsamic Salad and it was huge! Totally filled me up! My sister got the chicken nachos, and of course I had to try, also delicious! So decided to order some breakfast burritos and empanadas for a breakfast baby shower for a coworker. Everyone loved the burritos and empanadas, and the green salsa was also not too spicy, but had all the right flavors! Ordering was easy and delivery was right on time. Thank you Arctic Hotspot, will be visiting again soon!

I love it here! They offer a variety of Mexican food prepared in a healthy way, an alternative to greasy restaurants. No food comma here! Great for breakfast and lunch. They always have different fresh aguas del dia(water of the day). My favorite was their beet and strawberry beverage They are good to their customers, I’m a regular here and they know me by name which is always nice and welcoming.

Really enjoyed the food and service I received here. I had one of the pitas with a coffee and one of my co-workers had the cobb salad(I didn’t get feedback from her on it, though). The food was really, really fresh tasting. I don’t think I have ever had such a fresh tomato from a restaurant before. And my coffee was delicious, even if it was a little sweet. The customer service was great– loved how the lady called me mija, like she knew me. It’s also really cozy inside and it smells great, like how I’d want a restaurant to smell. She told me that it’s a family owned place and they’re coming up on their [20th?] anniversary. I could tell she care immensely. I wish I had more experiences like this when I eat out.

One of my favorite lunch spots in the area, which is surrounded by a sea of taco spots(oh, I definitely love tacos too, don’t get me started on that!). The interior is very cozy and I love getting a seat in the window box when I get a chance to come in. Their tostadas are one of my favorite menu items but they also have amazing sides and desserts! They’ve also recently started making these chamoy apples and OHEMGEE I am in heaven! You can also never go wrong with their water of the day, a favorite for me this past summer. A great local joint, but don’t take my word for it, go and try the deliciousness asap!

I wondered into this little spot by accident as I was cutting thru trying to avoid the dreaded LA traffic! It was terrific! Chicken chipotle sandwich with a side lentil salad and iced coffee! Can’t ask for anything more! The staff was pleasant and prompt and got me feeling good and well fed and on my way quick!!! Thank you!

My wife introduced me to this place and I instantly fell in love with it. The staff are incredible, they are super friendly and polite. The owners are very down to earth. The café is very cozy. There are two reading nooks by the windows and small tables all over. The decorations are very homey. As soon as you walk in, you just feel relaxed and happy. The food is so delicious! You can never go wrong with the water of the day. The first time I went was on a Saturday(Weekend menu is different from weekday menu). I had a french toast sandwich of some sort, and I was blown away! It was delicious, fresh, sweat, but not too sweat. The water was also delicious. The last time I went was on a weekday. I had the chicken nachos and oh man! It was so good! Plenty of chicken, cheese, and veggies. I’ve never had chicken nachos taste so fresh! hands down the best chicken nachos I’ve ever had. My wife ate a pita sandwich, I think it was the Cesar pita, either way it was also very tasty. This place is just fantastic. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

This place is hands down amazing! Every café should strive to be like the Arctic Hotspot! This mom and pop shop(according to their pamphlet, were raised in Boyle Heights and attended Roosevelt High next door) has a very chill, mellow vibe and comfortable seats, very clean and neat. Customer Service: Wonderful customer service. Every time I’ve called to place an order or placed the order in person, the staff has always been very friendly and helpful in explaining the combos or the different choices. Price: A combo meal with your entrée, side and drink can cost under $ 10-$ 12. Quality of Food: I’ve visited twice, and gotten two different combos. Everything is been on point delicious and the ingredients taste very fresh. There are tons of vegetarian(and I believe vegan) options and substitutes for their sandwiches, wraps, etc. Parking: Not too bad, I’ve always found something around the block, or for pickups there is the 15 minute time limit parking right in the front.

This place is great! I love love love their food. My favorites are the southwest tostada and the pineapple chipotle chicken sandwich. They have a variety of smoothies, juices and lattes. They also have my favorite: café de olla! It is inexpensive and the women that work here are very welcoming and helpful. It’s a pretty small café so I suggest that if you’re coming with a group, you come before lunch as it starts to get crowded around 11:45am for the lunch rush(especially during the school year)! Overall, it’s a great place to study and grab some delicious food and drinks!

My office ordered from Arctic Hotspot today and I had high hopes after looking through their Unilocal pictures. I was so excited to find out there was boba in close proximity. I ordered the medium Jasmine Milk Tea with boba($ 3.30) and my co worker ordered the large Thai Iced Tea with boba($ 3.80) When the drinks came, we took sips, looked at each other, and agreed both the drinks were wayyyy tooooo sweet. If I was at the restaurant I would have asked them kindly to please remake them. Unfortunately, we couldn’t even finish the drinks. I’ll have to come back for some of their food, the water of the day and hopefully a new and more positive review.

I’ve been coming to this place a few time a week for the last month and I have an awesome experience each time! The service is amazing! The ladies that work the counter are alway so sweet and welcoming. I come with my 8 month old and they always remember her little face and swoon over her. I’ve tried a few different dishes and each and every one of them has been incredible! There’s just something special about this place. Maybe it’s the bible verses that are beautifully displayed on the walls or the peaceful worship music playing in the background. Whatever it is, this place is a must try! Next time you find yourself in Boyle Heights, check it out! Ps. Try the water of the day! YOUWILLNOTBEDISAPPOINTED!!!
