I’ve been going to Dr. Ashcraft for over 15 years, and have been so satisfied with his care that I have continued going to him even after switching my insurance to Kaiser, which includes eye care. His staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I would have given him 5 stars, but his frame selection is limited for people like me who have a wide face.

Dr. Ashcraft is the best optometrist I’ve ever seen. I’ve been severely nearsighted since I was 10 years old, so I’ve been to a lot of eye doctors.
First, he is very communicative. I’ve learned more about my eyes than I’ve ever learned before and I’m now much better versed in how to care for them. Second, he does a lot of the specialized tests that an ophthalmologist would usually do which saves me money & time. Third, he’s responsive to helping patients make money-conscious choices and will tell you what is recommended vs. necessary.
The only thing I would recommend for approval is one of the women who work at the front desk. She is pushy when selling glasses.

I have been going to Dr. Ashcraft for many years and have always been very satisfied with him. He gives you time, is professional, and does most of the same tests an ophthalmologist does and it doesn’t cost quite as much. I do think the office staff could be friendlier and in the past they have made several errors when I ordered my contacts (forgot to order, wrong ones, etc.), but they have been better lately. Overall, I am very happy with Dr. Ashcraft and would recommend him to others.

I don’t know where to begin with this Doctor’s office. Communication is definitely not their strong suit. I ordered some contacts that the Doctor said would take 2 weeks and they ended up taking over 4 weeks. No one from the office called me to tell me that it would take that long and they didn’t seem to care that I was on my last set of contacts. I finally found out after 2 calls to the office that it was gonna take 2x the time that they originally told me.
Secondly, after I paid out of pocket for the contact lens exam, I was told, I could not get a copy of my contact lens prescription so not only was I out of pocket 200 dollars, I had to go to ANOTHER optometrist to get ANOTHER contact lens exam which was a complete waste of time and money. I would HIGHLY not recommend this man and his office to anyone. I am thoroughly disgusted.

They will say/promise anything to you to get you to come in for an appointment then when you come in they will not uphold to anything said on the phone. Do not ever go here

I was extremely satisfied on my first visit. It was easy to get an appointment within a reasonable time at a time of day that worked for me. The office was professional and well-run with minimum waiting time. Dr. Ashcraft gave me better explanations than my opthalmologist. This visit was for glasses. I’ll definitely be back for contact lenses and dry eye treatment.
