Aesthetically, this bar is out of Moulin Rouge –musical selection, however, a mixture of KISSFM radio hits and old school 90s r&b. We came here on a Friday night, and the crowd was definitely romanticized Southern California crowd, perfect for people watching. May I note, perfect for watching people +30. Not sure if it was the specific night we came, but the crowd was certainly not using fake IDs.

We arrived at 11:00, the place was dead. We stood out front for ten minutes and waited for the«host». Once the little fella finally came out he said that our girl to guy ratio wasn’t good enough and he would not be able to let us in the entire night. Mind you he was letting numerous mid 30 dirt bags in regularly. The women were trash and the customer service was garbage. We approached this place to grab a couple before hitting a bigger night and were greatly disappointed. We’ve been here before and the drinks typically suck and crowd is usually stale. Take your date or friends down the street. They have three stars for a reason.

It’s been sometime since I was last here, but I went back a few days before my birthday when a buddy was in town. Still cool and a fun, loud, slice of LA to spend sometime. My drinks were good, but we were just passing through. In times past I’ve stayed longer, but I will be back! You should go, just to keep it fresh in your mind!

Don’t ever say you live in LA but have never been to this place. Embarrassing! It’s THE place to go for drinks after work or meeting someone coming from Downtown LA and your coming from the Palisades. The atmosphere is lounge… and feel beautiful doing it. The staff treats everyone with the best attitudes and recommendations. Even though this is a celebrity hot spot… everyone is attended to without the ‘I have someone better to serve’ face when you aren’t positive of the name of the drink you want. It’s a must do and see if you are visiting LA!

I stopped in at Bar Marmot after work one day with a colleague. Valet parking was very easy — $ 12 — which is alright, but pretty standard in this area. I stopped in about 7:30 and the bar was completely empty. I like the atmosphere inside and it has nice intimate interior tables as well as a small patio area. My colleague an I decided to sit down at the bar. When I asked for a menu, they didn’t have any at the bar, so we had to wait for some to get brought over. I decided to order the west side. I liked the drink. It had good flavor and was relatively strong. It was a little bit pricey, but I guess you usually pay for the atmosphere. The bar tenders were relatively attentive, although my colleague and I both finished our drinks and had to wait a while for them to come over. If I stop by again, I definitely intend to try the food. It’s smelled great, but I’m sure you are paying for it. All in all, I like bar marmot, but I’m not in a rush to come back.

We came here following a friend’s recommendation. We made a reservation for a Saturday night. There were hardly any people around 6:30/7(the only time available for us to come). I was expecting a bigger and more modern bar. It was actually small and looked a bit outdated. At least they served one of my favorite white wines from France and it wasn’t crazily expensive. My husband had a cocktail around $ 14 – 16 which was ok. The staff was pretty friendly. The food smelled good(we didn’t get any). You can park in the street nearby or leave your car to the valets. I probably would not come back. I’d choose a more fun spot next time with more ambiance and more room to stand around. This bar pretty much has only regular tables for you to sit at for you to sip without moving much!

Excellent cocktail bar in the Hollywood Hills. Ideal for celeb-spotting. Sexy and romantic atmosphere. Sexy and understated cocktail waitresses. Wonderfully crafted beverages at Hollywood prices. We sat at a table in the main area. Old school hip-hop blasted overhead, which was a perfect foil for the deep red«Moulin Rouge» theme going on in this cave-like bar. Our waitress was great. I had a few cucumber collins drinks — the best rendition of this gin gem I’ve ever had. The right amount of sweet and sour. Very refreshing. I sat with a couple of friends and was able to enjoy some conversation, while feeling like there was an upbeat atmosphere. It was a Sunday night — and the night of the MTV music awards — so maybe Château Marmont was more dead than usual, but I loved it. No celebs spotted however. Must return!

Came here for a New Years Eve party and wow — I regret it. The bartenders were ALL overwhelmed due to the open bar and even pretentious. I understand there will be a certain level of being pretentious because of the area but this was absolutely ridiculous. I stood at the bar for over ten minutes with the bartender fully aware I was there and didn’t receive any kind of acknowledgement. I ended up having to go to another bar inside because he wouldn’t help me. This place is nothing like the mothership next door. Although the bar is very nicely decorated and had a nice vibe to it — don’t waste your time or money here. Either go to Château Marmont for a drink and food or just go somewhere else altogether.

It’s a nice hang out spot. Really like the back patio! Drinks are good but not all the bartenders are friendly. The negative side is all the prostitutes and escorts. Only place in LA where I’m ALWAYS being approached by working girls. Last time I went there on a week day, I was approached by a total of 4 prostitutes who offered me a «good time» for $ 350/hour and $ 400/hour. One of them(‘Nikki’) offered me coke in the bathroom(and I’m not talking about the soda). I do find it a bit odd that the management is okay with the very obvious prostitution approaches going on. But apart from that it’s an okay place.

The bar area was nice. I arrived with about 10 friends and they were able to accommodate all of us. The service was attentive and we had a fun and lively evening out. This is definitely the kind of place where your fun is dependent upon who you arrive with. I’ll come back again.

I went with total of four for 9 pm rsvn dinner. We were running late and yet they saved a wonderful seating in the back near the bar/dj. I loved the way it was dimly lit making the ambience so romantic we weren’t looking to eat a full meal so we ordered the following: Bread crumb encrusted fried brie with fig sauce. They don’t have crackers but you can ask for bread and the spread was just heavenly. Calamari was very tender and a good size portion. Sea bass which I completely forgot what it was encrusted in but it was average. It was the chefs last night causing kitchen to close early. I ordered my self an old fashion drink and it was so far the best I’ve had in weho. Friends ordered a few rounds of beer. The bill came out to about $ 90. We tipped with goal coming to $ 115. Service was great and by the time we finished eating the place was slowly filling up and the DJ was playing great music. Besides the area for dinner on the other side there is a smaller, cozier bar area which we moved to. Overall great experience and hope the next chef would be just as wonderful.

Great atmosphere. Staff is awesome. Valet is $ 12. Château Marmont is a stones throw away. Try this: calamari, small plate salmon and the steak dinner. Wash is down with a peroni. Specialty must have drink: Framboise Sauvage or just call it «The Pink Drink»

Went by this bar to close the night of a wonderful day spent discovering LA. I didn’t know what to expect but it turns out to be both romantic and eclectic with a great vibe. I loved that they have a wide amount of wine options as I normally don’t find such vast varieties in Miami. Their drinks are also extremely good. I tried a red one that was made with a raspberry liquor(forgot its name) and it blew my mind. Also, the Carrot cakes and smoked salmon appetizer is a must. The waiters were very attentive. The only downside is that the music is way too loud for a place that can clearly be seen, people visit to chill and converse.

Sultry and glamorous. Is this place a reflection of Moulin Rouge in Paris? Sitting on a comfy couch in a semi private room with romantic dim lighting, I definitely enjoyed my cocktails here. The waitress was pretty and pleasant, and drinks were strong. Everything was pretty cool. Most of people here were well dressed and enjoying themselves. Some were dancing, some were chatting. Couples were looking happy and beautiful. And some were also doing business networking. Well, people who sat next to us happened to be in the same industry, and we exchanged business cards and scheduled a lunch meeting. You just never know how your night turns out at Bar Marmont. I would love to come back here for a date. My 5″ stilettos would well suit the atmosphere and ambience here. I would try to be as sexy and romantic as other beautiful girls are. It’s just that you never know who will sit next to you and what will happen, and how your night turns out to be at Bar Marmont. 4 Stars

Bar Marmont is a must for any visitor to LA, great drinks in a comfortable and trendy setting! With the Château next door, Bar Marmont is normally full of people eager to be seen or spot some celebs, but outside of this it’s actually a really nice bar to start the evening off or even loose hours in one of the cocktail booths. Upon walking in, you push through 2 huge velvet curtains and thrown into a really cool, almost Paris-style bar. Dim lighting, powerful cocktail menus and loads of little sofas, benches and seats to relax. There’s about 3 rooms, one main bar with vast table seating and two little rooms off of this main haunt. Out back there’s a great outside decking. As it’s normally hot enough to be outside, we found a great outside table and let the evening run away with us. Prices are actually pretty good and for this reason we ended up staying for a few hours. First up we grabbed a beer as the cocktail list was almost endless, it needed a drink just to get over it. I felt nothing else than tequila would suffice so margaritas it was, and what an excellent decision. Salty, strong but amazing taste followed and so did several orders. We really enjoyed our evening here and I’d more than recommend coming in here for it’s amazing location, welcoming staff and who knows, everyone loves a celeb spot.

+ Great night out + Cocktail bar by the patio is the easiest place to get drinks + The main lounge is a good place to(literally) rub elbows + Outdoor smoking patio outside the private dining hall + Great to be noticed +Eye candy everywhere +Valet park/Über(duh!) It has taken me quite some time to express how ultra chic Bar Marmont is for someone who is in search of an aesthetically pleasing lounge with a vibe that gets trendsetters and tastemakers a place to flaunt themselves over cocktails and gender gazes. I met a host of women in the«Sister» room where photo ops happened — total unexpected GNO(GirlsNightOut) party-in-a-party. I’ve gone twice and each time I had a high energy experience. And, met new people that turned into friends. The Manhattans are well made. The DJ is spinning great tunes and there are so many areas to perch to people watch. I was surprised at the mix of people inside. There was the nerdy to the chic, the hipster to the … «what is that guy wearing» to business men and out of towners. I loved that. You know why because everyone was stylish.

I’m liking the vibe here. At the entrance, a good looking bouncer to greet you. At the inside lounge there’s beautiful people! Décor: Very cool. Their ceiling has fake butterflies and hanging plants. The interior designer has interesting taste. Food/Drinks: Just get their drinks and appetizers! The main dishes are horrible.(Its either too salty or tasteless) Tip: Dress well(Appropriate clothing) Don’t be too underdress. Btw, you can have bad hair day, they have dim lights to cover you! Note: Valet is pricey! Carpool if you must! 3.5 stars for me!

I always forget about the Château for lunch. Great outdoor space with the best most eclectic people watching in LA. Artists, star, musicians… you name it and they are around. Say nothing of the famous grand dame herself, the hotel. It just reeks of stories and history. And guess what? The food is fantastic! We went early and had our choice of any table outside. The bar was empty, so we went to the patio. Sat and enjoyed an iced tea then ordered. I had the grilled chicken salad and went with the Champagne vinaigrette dressing and loved it. Light and just perfect for a warn day. I saw the pasta go by(as well as a killer burger) and it looked so good. My wife had the flat iron steak salad that was to die for. A small but perfect menu with a very nice well thought out wine list. Jesse runs the door and is one of the best at making you feel welcome. That’s an art in this town. Parking is comped with a validation, so no reason not to go. Service is top notch. I wished I lived closer, but a stay– cation is in the works. Bravo!!!
