This is the 2nd time I’ve used this company (I call it Joe’s batteries!) in the past 2 years, and I’m very happy to say he answers his phone immediately, gets me the very best price (even Lowe’s) along with free installation and delivery. For the very next day each time I’ve called him, as a matter of fact! I have a trackless train at Westfield Santa Anita, the Promenade Express, and he has helped my train to keep on running with no interference from the batteries.

These guys really came through in a pinch. I needed a Prius battery and after [auto chain to be kept anonymous] couldn’t even figure out where the battery was (it’s in the trunk) or open the place where the battery is (THE TRUNK!), I took my car to Toyota of Santa Monica (also a great business). Toyota couldn’t fix my car for reasons beyond their control, and I stumbled onto BAS on the internet. Joe is a great guy and his staff work hard to provide excellent customer service.

Joe is a GREAT businessman and takes care of his customers.
My battery died on a Tuesday night. I had to leave my car in my office parking garage.
I called BAS the next morning and I had a battery installed by Raphael by 1pm that day.
He met me at my office!
They don’t charge for delivery or installation. Only for the battery.
This is a great company & they are providing a great service.
I highly recommend them!

HONEST MECHANIC !!! (really!!!)
Actually, electrician, Joe was very friendly, extremely knowledgeable and FAST.
Prices are really decent, no gimmicks.
I had my car starter turning slow for sometime in the recent weeks.
It finally died on Venice Blvd. yesterday, I walked to Joe’s place, (the name keep changing), LOL.
But I recognized his home made Yahoo website from years ago when I searched on my smart phone, yup it was the same guy that saved my a$$ years ago when he was behind the Saab place.
It is an old fashion place, you bring it in and in 10 minutes a bunch of guys jump on it and rebuild everything themselves, no outsourcing, no parts to order, all components are in his stock, and VOILA… your out the door in a jiffy!
Haaaaaaa… the good ol’ days…
Great service @ Great prices.

I have a 2012 chevy sonic and after calling AAA because my car would not start and them pretty much not knowing what they were talking about I googled around and found this gem. AAA told me my battery was most likely dead due to my alternator! It was hard to believe with my car being 3 years old. So I called up Joe and he was more than helpful on the phone, answered all my questions and explained how everything works. I felt comfortable giving this guy my money. I bought a battery at a way cheaper price and a longer warranty!!! He even came to my job and replaced the battery free of labor and delivery! It cant really get better than this! Thank you!!!

I’m a fan. The guy who answered the phone when I called was super friendly and helpful. I just started rattling off a hundred different questions about batteries and Burning Man applications and he took it all in stride and answered every single question. He gave me like a 20 minute explanation about how DC vs AC works and how to wire them in parallel and solar panels, etc. He never made me feel like I was bothering him. Will definitely go back here.

Called in to see if they could get me in and the manager even spent time on the phone helping diagnose what the problem was based on the sounds I was getting. I got a jump and they were able to get to me right away when I arrived. They performed several tests on the battery and sold me a new one and got in installed for under $ 100. In and out in about a half hour.
(The business name might be a little confusing: the name on the sign is J. B. Auto, and also seems to be listed as Blas Brothers on some websites.)

I don’t do much reviews, but this place deserves one. I went in to get a new battery for my Honda Civic 2012. Considering there’s a lot of auto repair shops that sells batteries and do other things around my area, I trusted this place the most. Joe answered my questions clearly and was true to his word on the price and how quick the service would get done. Even with a new battery change, he provides the best service. Took it out carefully, cleaned the battery holder and made sure it was placed correctly. He’s been doing this for years. Also, I know other car shops charge $ 15 or more to get it installed, but they do it here for FREE! He even checked my battery to see if it was the alternator or the battery that was the issue. I highly recommend this place. :)

I had a problem with my Nissan, it did not start, I thought the car alternator was the problem, then I went to Unilocal to find the right place to fix my car. I called the shop and I explained the problem to Joe, he asked me to bring my car to his shop. Joe checked the alternator, car battery and starter. He found out the problem was the car battery, and was not the alternator like I thought at the beginning. He replaced the car battery in ten minutes and he honored the 10% off on the purchasing of my my car battery.
My car is working perfectly. I recommend this car shop. Thank you Joe.

1st things 1st 25+ years in the business If any Angelinos recall «Delco Battery» on
La Cienega and Venice well Joe is it’s former manager! !! Called with typical alternator problems (Toy FJ Cruiser) Joe said «bring it in» tested my alternator and agreed it was not charging. So… $ 178.00 and 1.5 hours later I was back on the road with a rebuilt fully charging alternator and happy smile. Joe’s service and price were awesome, (alternator alone at AutoZone $ 144.00 plus tax and $ 40.00 core charge) so i’m at a 6 dollar savings already w/​o labor Now that’s good business Joe even waited patiently as I was 30 minutes late picking up my vehicle, although they close @2pm on Saturday Joe waited until 2:30. Great work, professional service A-​1 for Batteries Alternators & Starters!!! Thanks Joe!!!
