Great cream puffs. We got 6 cream puffs all with vanilla cream to go. It could of come with other types of cream in the middle but we choose vanilla because it is very smooth and tasty. The bread part has some powdered sugar on top and is very flaky. The staff was nice and the store clean. Only small problem was not they could not break any big bills. They also have an assortment of goodies/drinks like boba teas. I will be coming again hopefully soon.

A little cramped and run down, but the Strawberry and Lychee smoothie was perfect! I sadly was not in a pastry mood, but it’s their speciality. Will definitely be back to give their puffs a try.

Best cream puff/éclair I’ve ever tasted! I was first introduced at a work potluck when a co-worker brought a bunch of the mini puffs as a dessert. I had to have more! After venturing to the location I was impressed to find that they fill the pastries after you make the order so they taste very fresh.

This place is yummy. My husband likes the cream puffs, I enjoy the Mochi ice cream. Try the Mango Mochi, it’s delicious, small and the perfect treat

This place is located on Alameda and 3rd street. It is in the mall where alot of other shops are, which is located in little Tokyo. This is on the first floor right when you enter. I got the puffs with different flavors, they were amazing. The service was also good and quick. The place looked nice it was well set up and clean. They had seating inside and outside. I wanted to get boba from here but they are known for the thing I bought. Overall a good place I will definitely be back

Parking: structure, validated. Place: small. Clean. Service: fast friendly Food: they have puff pastries. Original puff, éclair(puff with chocolate topping), cookie, and something else. You can pick different crème fillings: chocolate, vanilla bean, and strawberry. There’s chocolate lava cake with chocolate filling. There’s green tea lava cake with white chocolate filling. The lava cake is not warm. Chocolate lava cake is rich. It’s not bad but I wouldn’t get it again. I got the éclair. I recommend eating it where they put in the filling because if you eat it opposite you’ll have cream coming from all over the place. The cream is light. The pastry is soft and the chocolate is like a hard shell. The éclair is about 3x3inch. Pretty big! I’d come back.

Not impressed, this is my second time here and I still didn’t find the cream puffs to be anything but ordinary. We tried three different puffs and the chocolate covered puff was my least favorite… the chocolate topping was hard and tasted like chalk.

One of my favorite dessert places. Trust me when I say just stick with the vanilla custard flavor. The other favors are too sweet IMO. Their puff is perfectly crispy and the cold gusting vanilla custard scream yummmmmmmm! I come like to come here when I need a pick me up from work. Their cream puff will make your work enjoy enjoyable.

Ok, first of all, I love Beard Papa’s and their vanilla pastry cream is heaven. However, I found that the pastry itself was not very fresh at this location: my cookie puff($ 2.50) was cold and soggy, and I noticed that the other products also looked a little old. Business was pretty slow so I guess they’re just not turning over puffs quickly enough for a fresh product every time. This was a disappointment after being used to the perfectly warm and crispy cream puffs at the Beard Papa’s in Boston. Even with a little bit of sogginess, though, it’s still a decent, fairly cheap snack/dessert. The service is super fast here; you could be in and out in 30 seconds. There’s a $ 5 minimum for cards, though, so make sure you bring a little bit of cash if you just want one cream puff.

Yummy cream puffs and cheesecake stick! It’s not too sweet, has a nice crunch to it and is very tasty and delicious! Even the cream inside the cream puff isn’t too sweet and very yummy. Definitely a must try if you’ve never had it. The girl working on a Saturday is super friendly and helpful!

The service is pretty depressing/underwhelming. They always seem to be scrambling to do things… I don’t know. It’s really awkward ordering from some of them. I’ve told them on numerous occasions that my order is to-go, and for some reason they’ll bring it out on a plate? Then they’ll act like I grew 2 heads while they grudgingly put away my stuff in a to-go box… Uh… The puffs themselves are great though. A tiny bit pricy, but I don’t mind. The service needs a lot of work though. Idk how they manage to keep getting the to-go thing wrong, it’s specifically when I order the green tea fondant. I don’t get it. It’s annoying as shit. Do they want to watch me eat the fondant there or something? It’s seriously happened 3 times now.

Fresh puffs & cream made daily. I have a sweet tooth that drags me to places like this. They make their own puffs & creams right on the spot. You can see them coming out of the oven! Love the regular cream puffs but I encourage you to try the different ones too. Beard Papa is also a great place to stop in and take a box of goodies to a client or friend if you don’t want to visit empty-handed. Bring your parking ticket and get it validated.

As we stepped into the Little Tokyo Galleria Mall, we were immediately bombarded w/shops of Coffee, Boba & Cream Puffs. I made the escape upstairs to go bowling(XLanes); however, when trying to leave, my daughter insisted on a Cream Puff. What About BOBA?! Anyway, stepped inside this little shop and I understood the appeal. It smelled sweet and the Cream Puffs looked good. As for the shop itself? There’s only a couple of table inside. Plus, the display case fridge that presented the Mochi & Drinks could be more organized and presentable. Front & center of the window was the Mochi, but it was surrounded by stacks of drinks and a taped signed that’s handwritten with additional Mochi flavors listed. For a Japanese bakery, not very aesthetic or organized. The staff was friendly and I stepped out, while my daughter placed her order. Upon my return, my daughter was digging into her Cocoa Cream Puff. She said, «You have to take a bite.» As I did, powdered sugar sprinkled all over my sweater; collateral damage. Haha! The cream filling was very good; however, I did find the outer puff a little too crunchy/overdone. My daughter commented that at least it was warm and fresh out of the oven. She also had the Cookie Cream Puff, but it wasn’t fresh out of the oven, so she favored the Cocoa Puff.

Cream puffs! Cream puffs! Get your cream puffs HERE! I come here pretty often. Like when I go shopping at the plaza I make sure to stop by before heading home. And the problem I always face is just buying one… it’s impossible lol. Their cream puffs alone will have you coming back. I always go with the chocolate cream or the vanilla cream and I can’t leave without at least 6. Once you have a bite you’ll be satisfied with the cream gushing out the cream puff and onto your fingers soooo good you have to lick them after. Mmm okay I’m going to get some now. Note: be sure to get your parking validated before leaving.

You can’t go wrong with an original Beard Papa’s cream puff! So creamy and filling! *da dun tisk*. This is located inside a mall right beside many Asian shops. This is a great place to pass by if you have a sweet tooth and want to satisfy that craving. They offer boba too!

Im usually not a fan of their cream puffs but I fell in LOVE with their GREENTEAFONDANT! This tiny thing is full of punch! not fruity punch but the taste of match green teen in a moist tiny little itty bitty gooey cute thing with a little powdered sugar on top. They warm up this little green delight and with a fork you slowly cut into this spongy green beauty and inside its liquidly yet thick. Its like having a green tea mousse cake. uhhh… so creamy, moist and delicious. its the perfect amount of sweetness and happiness in my tummy.

One can NEVER go wrong with Beard Papa. LOVE their cream and custards, and ice cream and vanilla bean and… the list goes on. But for this particular location, SERVICE is never on Fleek. There is always someone who«can’t hear you» so she’s like, .“What? whatttt?!!” and i find myself repeating my order 3 more times. Side note: i’m not soft spoken, i speak in a normal tone. Or another time, was a young teenager behind the counter who was just Over It. He dragged his feet, yawned, & looked miserable. Yuck, i don’t want my cream puffs from you. Your negative energy will transfer over.

Came here like two and half weeks ago for a long waited craving for a cookie cream puff. My boyfriend was sweet and got a Groupon for 18 dollars worth of cream puffs — I thought we were only able to get cream puffs with that Groupon but they actually allow you to get anything at the store. Since we didn’t really want $ 18 worth of cream puffs, we also ordered two drinks — one of which was pretty gross… I thought the green milk tea would be similar to something like from Lollicup or something but it was this weird green color drink that also had a weird taste. It was pretty terrible. Though the cream puffs were good. especially the cookie one. The service was okay and they had some seating outside and inside their store. I also saw that they can even stuff the cream puff with ice cream and it’s like $ 5. Overall I would stick with the cream puffs and not really the drinks.

I came here for the first time, and it was everything I thought it would be and more. I generally like cream puffs, and I already think the frozen Costco cream puffs and eclairs are delicious. So I was excited to try the pricier real thing. I had a hard time choosing between the cream puff and éclair.(Basically the éclair is a cream puff with chocolate on top). In the end I chose the éclair. Although 25 cents more, I thought why not? I have a job now. I can afford eclairs. It was amazing from the first bite. The vanilla filling was sweet but not overly sweet, creamy, and given in generous amounts. The chocolate was real chocolate, not some frosting or chocolate spread. I’m no pastry or dessert expert, and I generally like savory foods over sweets, but I would definitely recommend anyone to check this place out! Now that I think about it, I think I actually prefer these cream puffs over macarons… Next time I’m going to try the plain cream puff because the hard chocolate somehow made the cream squeeze out from the sides, making it more difficult to eat. Still one of the best desserts I’ve ever tried though.
