Yesterday I visited Beauty Prescribed for a chemical peel to address hyper pigmentation from tanning this summer. Bianca offered service that rivaled any high end spa, and I’ve visited quite a few.
Upon arrival, the space was serene with light instrumental music just above a hum. Bianca checked with me to see if I was happy with the music and if I was comfortable. Next she performed a moisture test, because I’ve never been able to accurately identify whether I have dry, oily or combo skin. She told me my numbers and we moved on to explaining treatment and aftercare.
Next I relaxed into my position and got the full experience. The products were very mild and didn’t cause me any discomfort although I was a bit nervous because of it being a peel. I was moisturized and the treatment was concluded after about an hour.
Bianca ended the treatment by giving me a package of sunblock and lots of other goodies that I have been using to cleanse and protect my skin. She also told me what to do and not to do to prevent bad side effects. Today is day two and I notice only a bit of peeling and tightness but my face looks fantastic.
I can’t wait to go back for a full on facial and get my skin to tip top shape for the summer.
