Great and simple menu. Fresh, hot, delicious food that hits the spot! If their tortillas for their burritos weren’t on the sweet side, I’d give them 5 stars. Apart from that, everything else is bomb! Especially, their carne asada fries and carnitas tacos.

My stars are for the bean and cheese burrito and their freshly made chips! This is my go-to bean&cheese burrito spot! Their green and red salsa both are packed with flavor! Tortilla are fresh and have a perfect chewy flaky texture! Mmmmm!!!

I’m currently traveling and was hungry. I saw this place and figured I’d give it a shot. Wow! The tacos here are amazing. Crunchy, light and very tasty! I tried the beef and chicken and both were great! I highly recommend coming here if your in the area.

I haven’t had Carne Asada Fries for almost 5 years prior to my visit in LA in December. I teared up. I am speechless. The end.

maybe my favorite crunchy tacos in LA? But the super nachos I just had kind of blew my mind. I miss the one on Santa Monica, but this location is reliably delicious after all these years, just had my first visit back in at least 3 years. We ordered 10 items for a group, and the food was made fast and correctly despite only one cook running front and food, while dealing with other orders that came in. Excellent service, but Mainly, it was super tasty.

This was my first time trying this place and def my last. I ordered a simple carne sada burrito and a pork taco. I thought to myself they can’t possibly mess up a burrito right??? Well, now I know not every Mexican joint knows what their doing. I was disappointed with the lack of flavor and temperature of the food. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. There are some great burrito trucks on la brea and Olympic FYI.

Closest you’ll find to a decent California burrito in LA(even though they don’t use fries)

How I love this place. I miss when there were more of them… this and the Santa Monica location are the only ones I know are left. It’s actually a good thing there is so much traffic between here and my house, because I would prolly otherwise eat every meal here. The chicken burritos are to die for. Simple. Tasty. Not a lot of extra crap I them. Just honest to goodness Mexican chicken with chile in a tortilla. The five rolled tacos are the ultimate drunk food. They are crispy taqueria drowning in guacamole, cheese, and salsa. Bad ass. So good. Love me some Benito’s.

The veggie burrito is okay. Good flavor. The tacos looked delicious will have to try next time. Cleanliness was alright could be kept up better.

I’ve been coming for a few years now and I don’t get the negative reviews. It’s one of the few places that serve hard shell carne asada tacos made from corn tortillas and crisped up in house.(Might matter to some looking for gluten free tacos). Awesome red and green sauces. You don’t use one or the other. Use both!!! There aren’t that many places in the area that are open late either. Delicious rolled tacos as well. French fries are also on the menu. The only thing that’s missing is pico de gallo bar but I can hardly fault them for that. Cheers!

Just ordered a chicken burrito with NO onions and I got more onions than chicken. Second time this happens.

This is the first Benito’s I ever visited, and the one that’s nearest to me, so it’s also the one that’s dearest. The guy who always seems to be working there is sweet, and makes my food FAST and so good every time. They offer a a simple menu, but everything on it is done right, and that is what keeps me coming back. The place is tiny, no frills, and when it’s cold outside, it feels cold in there. I usually take my food to go. There is no restroom, and no place to wash your hands, but they do provide Purel. Sadly there is a concentration of homeless people on this block, some of whom you might meet asking for change, or coming inside to get warm.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I work in the food industry so I feel like I’m more understanding than most, but this place is bad. I tried so hard to enjoy this place but 3 strikes and your out. Strike 1. 1″ black hair inside my quesadilla.(I had blonde hair so no way it came from me) accidents happen so I gave it another try. Strike 2. A foreign object in the nachos. Strike 3. I order, pay in cash, guy takes my money and then goes directly to cook my burrito and does it without washing his hands or wearing gloves. I refused to eat it. Fecal matter and bacteria on the hands is the number one cause of food borne illness. No thanks, I’ll pass. The least they could do is wash their hands.

Love Benito’s had to stop and get some rolled tacos before leaving my hometown. I have so many memories eating there with friends. It had been while since going to Benito’s so I started to build this craving months before my trip. I think I Sikes myself out because I forgot I use to ask for guac and salsa. I couldn’t wait and when I had my first bite it wasn’t as good as I remembered. Maybe I wasn’t as hungry? Not sure but I still have them 4 stars because that’s what I remembered and maybe I was having an off day. I still recommend Benito’s.

I came here after a concert. My friend and I were starving! And we were ready to eat great food! Benitos is the perfect place to hit after you’ve been out the entire day! We ordered the Carne Asada plate — comes with carne asada, beans and rice with cheese — gucamole and chips! I loved it! It was affordable, and reasonable concerning prices. Friendly and fast service, too. Very tasty! :) Place doesn’t look really good in terms of environment, but it doesn’t matter — you’ll love the food so much you’ll forget you’re in a restaurant all together. It’s like you get lost in it. :) I highly recommend coming this place. Do you see all the smileys I have posted on this review subconsciously? I didn’t even try to do that. HAHA. :) Oh there it goes again…

It’s only a step up from Taco Bell. The tacos were flavorless and the burritos were lack Luster. A bean burrito from taco bell is better than what they serve here. Chips were stale corn chips.

That was surprisingly great and BIG. I tried their veggie burrito and it was excellent. Service was friendly. My only wish… food handlers wear plastic gloves. I live near the Westside location and ate there a few years back when I was pretty turnt. That is how I thought of Bennito’s. I’m glad I tried them today, because this might just become my «go to» burrito when I am in the office here.

The best place for late night burritos in the area. The carne asada is hands down one of the best I’ve had. Pure grilled protein. No fatty meat parts, unlike the ones they usually serve from taco trucks such as El Chato. If you are hankering for a good hearty breakfast chomp, the chorizo burrito is the way to go. Another fan favorite I vouch for is the beans and cheese burrito. Can’t go wrong with this classic favorite. The place is kept clean and well lit. Parking always available at the rear of the building or on the street outside. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Shoutout to the graveyard shift duo. Always wiping down everything, keeping the place clean and providing the late night banter. ¡Gracias Benito’s! You had me at «Ey wey!» 8 years ago.

Who Knew? After drinks and a show with some family & friends… our natural instinct is to search for food immediately. Preferably some greasy Mexican fast food at 1:30 AMish. But where in the hell was I gonna find something like that in the Mid Wilshire/Farmers Market/Museum area? Well thank goodness there’s Unilocal! Search engine found Benitos Taco Shop and was pleasantly surprised. I mean its exactly what you want(rolled tacos with guacamole… real guacamole, a carne asada burrito or torta etc) at a more than reasonable price and well after midnight. The Order: 3 rolled tacos with guacamole, a carne asada burrito and torta de asada. All for under $ 20. Dont remember if someone ordered a drink tho. It came up fast and we took it home. The burrito I had was more than enough cause I didnt finish it. I’d rank it as better than average and that it did need some salsa to give it some added life. I did like that there was more meat than rice or other fillers and it also included avocado in it. Miscellaneous: The place is clean and well lit. I don’t think there is a public bathroom and it looks like you’ll be parking on the street. If you try Benitos sometime soon, give a shout out to the graveyard shift for hooking it up in the middle of the night! ¡Gracias Paisas! Overall: If I find myself in the area and need to satisfy the heavy junk food cravings… in the middle of the night, Ill be at Benitos. Ill be there tearing away at a torta and wondering why Im not losing any weight. Ay los watcho.

I had eaten here a long long long time ago and went out to find Ruben’s taco truck late this week. The taco trucks were closed at there general spots so I did a nice loopy drive. I saw another taco truck right by the place but it was busy it was very cold out(prob should have tried that place…) The food was bland, the carne asada didn’t deliver that awesome salty meaty richness. We got the taquitos, super nachos and a carnitas taco(because they don’t have el pastor). The taquitos may have been the best thing but at that it’s more just filler food. No real substance or much that would make me want to return. The green salsa was hot and the red was okay but other than that I cannot tell you any other flavors that come from it which is sad because a Mexican place should have outstanding salsa, that’s where it all starts. Oh well, for the late night munchies I got that came out of no where we won’t be returning. Also the lady that took our order could be friendlier and you know… smile or something. I know it’s late and you guys are probably tired but these are the things that make a place rememberable in a good way.
