First enjoyed Benny’s at a business meeting here in Westchester. I was so impressed with the food at the event, I hunted down a member of the organizing committee to inquire about who the caterer was. Since that day, I’m a Benny’s addict. Tremendous California burrito(my favorite!) and delicious hard shell carne asada tacos(my second favorite). Consistently fresh, incredibly flavorful food, with reasonable prices, generous portions, casual/comfortable atmosphere with patio option, and these folks are so freakin’ nice! How refreshing is that! I want everything on the menu. Only time prevents me, as does my absolute obsession with the Cali burrito… my true love.

Nice little taco joint. Rotisserie chicken is delicious. Maribel and the rest of the staff were all very friendly. The patio is very chill after a long day of work. The breeze was nice.

I was served by maribel… VERY friendly service. It was my first time and she took the time to help me. I got an immaculate carne asada taco and a delicious & juicy quarter chicken. They gave my buddy a free churo for his birthday that was out of this world. I highly recommend you stop by.

I tried Benny’s Tacos for the first time yesterday and I bought the Lobster Burrito, it was so amazing! And today I returned for the Carne Asada Fajitas, and it was just as delicious! I’m a real picky eater and also a neat freak as well and when I entered the restaurant I was nothing short of pleased and comfortable! Very clean, fresh ingredients, an excellent portion size that will leave you full and satisfied. Everyone was super friendly! My waitress’ name was Shawna and she was such a pleasant woman making sure to ask if we needed anything and if we enjoyed our meals. I definitely recommend eating here and I am becoming a regular! :)

Very Nasty!!! Paid $ 50 for 4 people to eat, got the plate of 2 tacos and pinto beans and rice. The chicken tacos had to much lettuce and the chicken had a nasty couple bones on it that stabbed my mouth! The pinto beans were very cold and nasty. The salsa they provided was also very gross.

We ordered delivery though Eat24 only to be disappointed. I have a mushroom allergy and requested the veggie quesadilla with no mushrooms and sure enough, it came with mushrooms. We also ordered a chicken burrito and got a beef burrito. When we called the restaurant to get our order corrected, they said they were willing to replace the items. Benny’s then called 3 times after that and insisted the cook did not get our order wrong and wanted the original order back. I can overlook a wrong order but not the bad service.

Benny’s seems to be steadily improving every time we come. Especially the fried fish. Maribel continues to be the best there is!

I was going to come here and change the review to four stars based on how much I liked my leftovers reheated the next day. But I found a surreal comment from the management was posted to my review, sent to my private Unilocal inbox, and then posted to my review again a couple of days later(I guess because I edited to make my first review a little more clear). Unilocal is _supposed_to be an honest place where people post their honest opinions; paying attention to Unilocal is a commitment to accepting that the public will do that. The staff asked me to review the place, and I did so honestly. If you want people to improve their reviews, be kind, make offers to treat them to a free burrito or something, but don’t make them feel uncomfortable. Here is my review: As fast food goes, it’s okay, but pricy. For food in general regardless of category, I really feel like it’s a 3.5. The people there are SUPER nice, and seriously it’s really not that much of a hole in the wall as other reviewers describe. I would call it two«$$» because each dish is close to $ 10 and here in LA(maybe not this far west), you can get amazing Mexican food for like $ 5-$ 6 in a place this style. You do, however, get a lot of food in each dish. Unlike a lot of places, ordering one thing will probably feed you well. The bad: The salsa I tried was not very good, the tortilla chips and tortillas seem kind of underwhelming(I think the chips have a sweetener in them, as they had a fortune cookie aftertaste!), and the food feels oddly heavy; I went from starving to feeling like I can’t eat any more in just a few bites. The experience of the place is neither fancy nor fast food: As compared to the typical«hole in the wall», the food is OK, the décor is nice and clean, the prices are too high. I am comparing to Cinco De Mayo, or better yet the taco truck that parks next to Three Clubs on Vine. Both are cheaper and tastier, especially the latter. As compared to a sit-down restaurant, I think the prices are good, the food isn’t quite right, and the atmosphere is too fast-foody to qualify. For comparison, Tony’s Mexican Grill in the Valley has a similar atmosphere and yet incredible, high quality food, and their prices are slightly lower.(Though I can’t say the tortilla chips are that great at Tony’s either, but that’s the one place I fault them!) Again, service was super nice — so much so that I might give them another try.

Sort of a hole-in-the-wall. We needed a place close to the airport as we were about to fly out, so Benny’s tacos and Rotisserie chicken popped up on Unilocal as a place with good reviews. When we arrived, we almost left as it looked a bit scary. I am glad we did not leave as it was actually pretty good. They had a good variety of options, burritos, salads, tacos, breakfast, etc. I ordered the taco plate with one steak and one chicken taco. They came with rice and beans and chips. The restaurant also had a salsa bar, which was pretty good. My tacos came on fresh corn tortillas and were both pretty good. The steak on the steak taco was luke-warm when I received it, but it was still pretty tasty. The chicken taco on the other hand clearly had just come off the rotisserie. Steamy hot! Everything that I had was good. The weird thing about the restaurant though was that it felt like they were trying to be a club. At 11:30 am, the song«shots, shots, shots» was playing pretty loudly both inside and outside… I felt as though I needed to be drinking some tequila with my lunch! I’d go again if I were in the area.

I got the 2 Baja grilled Taco plate and he got the taco trio plate with 3 different types of chicken. We also ordered chips and dip. Everything was great. The plates included chips so we have no need to order chips for the salsa. Everything was clean and the staff was friendly. They checked on us a couple of times and asked how everything was going. They have an indoor and outdoor area. The salsa bar was stocked and neat. The portions were generous and the price was great. Great place. Fast service. Seems like a great place to stop before a flight. It’s down the st from the Custom Hotel and LAX. The only reason I took 1 star away is due to lack of parking.

Asada tacos were on point. I got flour tortillas and they were quite different than your average flour tortilla, dense in a way. I enjoyed them.

Benny’s is a great place to go with friends! Great environment to sit and chill and devour delicious Mexican food. Shrimp burrito is bomb. Ashanna was really nice and catered to our ever need despite us being loud and rowdy.

Okay I’m hooked. Benny’s is on point! I always have them deliver. They’re on time and the food is great. So far I’ve had southwest salad with grilled shrimp and churros. So good I always order the same thing!

Great place to grab food if you are near lax. Service is great and fast. Got here for breakfast and the staff here are definitely morning people. So sweet, you’ll get a tooth ache! Shanna will definitely take care of you. The food: Menudo — comforting, great flavor. The wifey wishes it had hominy but I think it was fine. Lots of tripe which is great. Breakfast burrito– nice crisp bacon, black beans and eggs. Nice pico de Gallo inside too. Southwest salad with rotisserie chicken– awesome and huge. Share it. The churro!!! It’s frsh, crispy and awesome!!! Get it, GETIT!!! Overall a nice place to stop by. Dragon egg approved!

Pretty good food! $ 53 tacos Tuesday. I’ve had the carne asada, al pastor and ground beef. Ground beef comes on a hard taco with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream and was actually really tasty! A little greasy but good! Al pastor and carne asada are pretty good as well but for me I definitely need to add some salsa to them. Grilled jalapeños are good! Guac one time was delicious, some of the best I’ve had and on another occasion it was just mediocre. The verde salsa is good! Nice little salsa bar to choose from. The wet burrito looks delicious(and huge)! I would like to try that. The space is pretty small. Not a lot of room inside and out. They do have a bathroom you have to access through the employee entrance so they have to let you in. Place seems to be pretty clean. Not a bad spot for taco Tuesday. Would like to go back and explore the menu!

Came in at 11am on a Monday because fish tacos for breakfast are probably acceptable right? Right. Service was fantastic and straightforward. My gorgeous cashier Maribel answered all my questions of «What is the difference between grilled and fried tacos?»(The answer: grilled is healthier, fried is not as healthy but more tasty.) Makes sense. I asked for takeout but ended up eating in the outdoor seating. The staff checked up on me several times to make sure I was doing OK and even offered to take my plates(or in my case, to-go box) after I was done. What kind of taco joint has restaurant quality service? THISONE. Would come back again(really wanna try that rotisserie chicken). And my fish tacos were gorgeous slash delicious. Like IG worthy. Be sure to check out the sauce bar.

I was on the fence between 2 and 3 stars, but the other 3 people I was with convinced me to go 2 stars. I got a couple tacos and thought they were very tasty but $ 3+ per taco feels a little expensive when you need 4 for a full meal. The burritos were underwhelming: greasy and with too many beans. The salsa was particularly disappointing. All 3 I tried were bland and watery and none provided the right amount of spice. Nothing was really memorable and I can probably find cheaper options closer to home to satisfy my next taco craving.

This is my go to place for a quick bite in my neighborhood. The food is fresh and really reasonably priced. I always get the taco plate which is a great deal at $ 8.95 for 2 tacos, a side of guacamole, rice and beans and a few chips. And I checked in on Unilocal and got 10% off! Score!

Food = 3.5, Business Practices = 0 I bought 2 $ 10 vouchers on Groupon, so far so good. I went to redeem one of them today, they only applied $ 9.70 worth of credit to my order rather than $ 10. When the lady gave me change, I noticed the discrepancy and had to make a fuss to get my 30 cents back. The cashier said the system just ‘does that’ and credits $ 9.70 instead of $ 10. This is not right, and I feel that they’re taking advantage of people who are not paying attention. Bad form…

Such a lovely dinner out tonight at Benny’s Everyone at Benny’s does their job well, from the cashier to the cooks to our server, Ashanna. She was so kind, polite, and prompt. I have been here before, but this was the best burrito I’ve had. Part white meat rotisserie chicken, part carne asada, sooo good. We will be back to Benny’s soon!

Um. I can think of few things more delightful then watching netflix while I await eat24 delivering my food from benny’s. Their bean and cheese burrito… is my favorite. I’m sure there may be better, but I’ve done some exploring on this subject, and it’s the best I have found yet. It is also the best chicken soup you will get from a restaurant, that actually tastes like it was made at home. I have not done as much research on who has the best chicken soup, but, this is the best chicken soup I’ve had in a restaurant. The rice is nice too. Everything I’ve had is good. Except the chips, they’re bag chips. That’s okay, I shouldn’t eat chips anyways.

Benny’s is not a bad place, but it’s nothing to necessarily write home about. As Mexican food goes, it’ll hit the spot if you have an itch, but you won’t be blown away. Having been here a few times, my experiences have ranged from«meh» to «good.» The staff is very friendly and attentive, considering they can get busy. The place is very clean and accommodating. It’s the food that can be inconsistent. Sometimes it’s right on, sometimes not. My biggest complaint is the carne can sometimes be pretty oily. Pricing is also a little high for what you get.

Benny, the manager replied almost immediately to say that there was an issue with the meat supplier that day,/ and that they had upgraded the meat. Impressed the quick customer service and I will give them another shot. Stay tuned… Disgusting. Carne asada was gristly, and lived somewhere between ground and whole beef. Guacamole was not fresh. Salsa and Pico de gallo were flavorless. Everything else was just unnecessarily oily.

What took me so long to try this place?! Not only is it close to my work but it’s within walking distance so I don’t have to deal with moving my car! Well finally, a groupon brought me in. I had the Southwest salad and splurged on the shrimp. It was tasty grilled shrimp over salad with all sorts of delicious embellishments. This is silly but you know what I lived the best? The sliced spicy carrots. For some reason there aren’t that many restaurants in LA where I find them. You can order to eat inside, in their nice patio or to go. I immediately went back the same week(not with the groupon) and split a carnitas burrito(we had to try their home-made tortillas) and we split the same salad. She, though originally hadn’t lived that place, was converted by their burrito. She didn’t live the salad as much as I did but that’s fine, more for me! Can’t wait to use my 2nd Groupon!

I used to love coming to this location for Viva Fresh. While I think Benny’s isn’t quite as good, the CA burrito I had here was very tasty and I’d definitely get it again. Not the best Mexican food I’ve ever had, but nice to know I have a place where I can go and get something decent on the way home from work.

Unsurprisingly, Westchester(AKA Gueroville) has always been mediocre at best on the Mexican front. Nothing that a handful of miles of driving can’t solve, but one within walking distance is always worth the risk. My first visit was less than stellar. I had a lengua burrito(which seems almost a daring option for this area), and when I finished the whole thing I wondered if they used a teaspoon to scoop out the meat at this place. I didn’t hit meat until the end tip of my burrito. For spending $ 8 on what amounted to primarily a vegetarian burrito, I was not pleased, but I was willing to give them another shot with the chicken. I got a half-chicken special with a few sides. The grilled vegetables were quite good. The chicken was passable but not as moist as I was hoping. Yes, they are tiny. I know they’re hormone-free, but if you’re a Costco member then Costco is phasing out their regular chickens for rotisserie to offer hormone-free ones instead(if they haven’t done so already). I’ll just stick with Costco and take advantage of the great value. Flash forward about eight months, and I return to see if my «teaspoon theory» holds up. I order another lengua burrito, take it back to where I was staying, open it up, and… there’s a decent amount of meat in there! It was pretty good meat too, very tender and tasty. This is one of those kinds of places for me that could fill in in a pinch and is just good enough for me to come back to because of the proximity(provided they don’t rip me off with the lengua meat). But all things preferred, I’d rather hit up taco trucks(something which Westchester is sorely lacking in) or head to points further east/northeast/southeast and get cheaper and arguably better food with the types of meat that I prefer but most gueros likely won’t consider(cabeza, birria, buche).

Went to Benny’s tacos many times and my friends and I liked it Good food and good service. We also love the patio with heaters at night. Decided to order for our office party the other day. we had choices from taco platter, rotisserie chicken or fajitas. We ended up with fajitas. Very fresh with fresh vegetables. Call a day in advance though if u want the food to come on time.

So, I decided to come back. I ordered a Carne Asada burrito and I thoroughly enjoyed. After-all, we all have a bad day from time to time. And after all the owner cared enough to message me last time — so here I am again. This time I am here on a Tuesday night. It’s a little cold, however the weather didn’t stop many Westchester residents from coming to Benny’s to dine-«in» mainly in the outdoor sitting area outfitted with heaters and a TV or to pick-up a take out orders. The staff is extremely friendly. I asked the cashier while looking at their fountain drinks if their tamarindo water was sweet. She was very nice to tell me that it is sweet and she often waters it down a bit but reassured me it was very good and then offered me a glass to sample it. I actually liked it just as it is and purchased a glass. Their salsa bar is clean and the items look fresh. Their burrito/taco topping right next to the salsa are nicely displayed over ice. I had some of toppings and they were all to perfection. The only downer on this visit was the grease in which the battered fish for the tacos was fried. It needs changing. I came in at around 8pm so perhaps the fish tasted as if the oil needed changing due to the business of the day. IDK :( Overall it was a good experience for me and I will be back to try some of the other items.

Never having been here, I asked what their best item is, what they are most proud of — and I was directed to the rotisserie chicken(with a side of black beans and fries). The quarter chicken was smaller than what you get at California Chicken Café, a feat I did not know was possible! It tasted alright — not amazing, but not bad — but the size was ridiculously small. A few seconds after my food came to me, the manager asked me what I thought about it — nice touch. I had him try one of my chips, and he agreed that they were stale(and he replaced them). He also told me that next time I should ask for the ½ chicken special(not on the menu) for only $ 1 more than the ¼ chicken. Would have been nice if the cashier mentioned that to me! The black beans were kind of tasteless — as if they were just cooked in plain water. The cheese(queso blanco) on the beans was flavorful, but it couldn’t make up for the tasteless beans. The fries had the potential to be good — they had some sort of tasty-looking coating on them — but they were cold so I couldn’t enjoy them. Considering that the place was hopping with business, there’s no excuse for that. Overall, it was just meh. I definitely wouldn’t make a trip out here, and based on the reviews of the burritos mentioning skimpy amounts of meat in them, I probably wouldn’t stop in even if I was in the neighborhood.

Visited 7÷17÷15 Can’t go wrong with chicken! So I decided to give them a try. Went here with my son and boyfriend and was clueless on what to order, but the guy who helped us(didn’t catch his name… but he was great!!! Young Hispanic gentleman in his early 20’s…I’m guessing, about 5’10″ slender build, and upbeat personality). He helped my son and i decide what to order and we took his suggestions. Fast forward… The wait time is pretty long, so that says a lot about this place. They stay busy! So if you can, «CALLYOURORDERIN.» After waiting about 30 minutes we received our to-go order. Everything was good, my only disappointment was my Caesar dressing. After pouring it on my salad it was EXTREMELY watered down(see the picture), so it was non existent on my salad. There was just a watery pool at the bottom of the container. I was starving after waiting 30 minutes so I still ate my salad. That watery dressing wasn’t going to stop me! LOL. The chicken was good too. I’ll definitely give this place a try again, but I’ll pass on the Caesar dressing.
