Brentwood Retreat

I hate to give a negative review but I was really excited to find a facial place closer to my house than the place I usually go to and Brentwood Retreat seemed to have a few good reviews so I thought I would give it a try. I booked through Unilocal’s booking system and just showed up to the location for my appointment and it was closed. I double checked that I read my confirmation email right and called the number listed online to no answer. After 5 minutes, I saw a lady working in the back and so I knocked on the door. She said they didn’t work on the weekends and don’t take online bookings and handed me their marketing material with the phone number to call to rebook. Funny thing was that the marketing material says they’re open on the weekends, their windows say they’re opening on the weekends, their website says they’re open on the weekend, and Unilocal says they’re open on the weekend AND allows you to book appointments for the weekend.
I am sure that they probably provide good service when they’re open, just make sure you don’t book on the weekend and that you don’t book through Unilocal!
Looks like I’ll be heading back to my usual place.

I have been here several times for facials with Yoko and Chat. They are both fabulous. They use Skinceuticals and Skin Medica products which I really like.

I have had a lot of facials. Out of all of them I liked this one the most. Chat really assessed my skin first and noted my skin only needed a very light Microdermabrasion. That any more than that woyld cause more capillaries to be damaged. Interestingly enough, 3 of my past Microdermabrasions were very intense and my rosacea looking nose was getting worse and worse.
I also wanted to note that when I was making the appointment I told Chat that I really needed to get seen ASAP. She was supposed to not work that afternoon. She made special arrangements to see me which required her to leave and come back. She never once made me feel like I was being demanding. Nor dud she complain.
I highly recommend Chat. My skin was smoothe like a baby’s bottom!

Yoko is absolutely amazing! I had a microdermabrasion facial was one of the best experiences I have encountered. She gave a fantastic massage and was very gentle in her technique. Love Love Love her!!!

Wow, is Chat awesome or what? I signed on for the myotonology series and am so happy with the results. Chat is extremely knowledgeable about skin care, generous with information and simply lovely to be around. The décor is lovely and experience being there is relaxing and rejuvenating. I can’t say enough about how great my experience has been.

Brentwood Retreat is the best place in LA for skincare treatments. I have been going to Yoko for six years and she is the finest aesthetician you can find. They have moved to a new location and the facility is beautiful, but Yoko is so great I’d follow her anywhere! Her facials, waxing, and all kinds of other treatments are truly special. Book in advance — she has lots of clients who love her. Reasonable pricing too!

Yoko was the specialist that helped me and she does an amazing job. She was very nice and I felt great after my appointment. I will definitely be coming back!

This is my go-​to spot when I want a real quality facial. The new spa is gorgeous, classy, comfortable but, not overdone and stuffy. Chat is the real deal. From the accessible location, exclusive clientele, fair prices, high end products and skilled attention to detail, this is where the true spa junkies go. Whether you belong to the high end, well groomed, youth capturing, yoga going Brentwood crowd or just want to look the part, this is your place. I hate to share the only true westside fountain of youth but, this is it.

I have been going to Chat for many years and she’s such a pleasure to «chat» to-​warm, funny & genuine. This is a day Spa. I go here if I want to get a REAL facial. My Esthetician, Chat is just such a perfectionist, she will not leave one pore untouched! So if you like to get your face cleaned to the max, she does the job, her extractions are what keeps me coming back… she also uses this ultra sound bacteria cleaner… her microdermabrasions are also very thorough. She uses great products like skinceuticals that are for people with sensitive skin. Her fees are pretty reasonable compared to Burke williams facials that wont give u half the work she’ll do for you for the same price.
