Brown Paper Design did all the flowers for my June 2013 wedding. I was referred to several floral designers, but BPD provided the best value for my money. Their ideas were also in line with mine, but they were able to add some extra special details to really make our bouquets pop. Danielle and Kelly were AMAZING. Communication was easy and open. Email responses were super fast. My favorite thing about BPD was their willingness to work within my budget. On the day of my wedding, I was floored to see what they had done with my budget. I did not have to sacrifice quality or creativity at all. My in-laws had made some of their own succulent arrangements and Kelly even offered to deliver and set up these arrangements for us. Awesome! I was so impressed with BPD and would recommend them over and over again.

From our very first consultation until my gorgeous wedding day, I knew I could trust Danielle 100% with my vision for the event. She took my admittedly abstract ideas and made them a beautiful reality, while thoughtfully taking into consideration my budget! Not only is she an amazingly talented florist, but her event design expertise helped SO much. From fabrics to lighting to décor — she knows it all. I thought I was going to be buried in flea markets searching for the perfect quirky candleholders months before the wedding. Nope! She has it covered! After our first meeting, I never thought about decorations again. What a relief. Her soft and organic aesthetic translates so beautifully into a wedding. I enthusiastically recommend her as more than a wedding vendor… she’s your wedding partner!

Danielle is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. And I am not one to hand out compliments excessively. I had extremely high expectations of all our vendors for our wedding, and Danielle was hands-down the best of the lot. To put it in context, I worked at a high-end florist when I was at Stanford, and I went through proposals from floral designers that do arrangements for French Laundry, Chez Panisse, Delfina etc etc. But Danielle fit our style, both aesthetically and personality-wise, perfectly. Both my fiancé and I knew from the minute we first met her that she was it. Our first meeting happened completely last minute, and Danielle made the effort to meet us for breakfast at 830am in Palo Alto, when she lives in the city(when she’s up in Northern CA, and not in LA, that is). She had her work on her handy dandy iPad to show us, and we explained to her our vision — modern, elegant, authentic, full of color and life — but not over the top extravagant. After our table mock-up at the rental company, my then-fiancé told me that he had never believed that florals could be so beautiful. Danielle picked up cases of fruits that my mom provided for our wedding day arrangements, she sourced lily of the valley and other fresh seasonal flowers, supplied butcher paper for the kids tables for crayon drawing, and created stunningly beautiful tables at our wedding. Her sense of style is impeccable, and everyone could not stop raving about how gorgeous the flowers(and frankly, everything) were. She ended up providing design guidance on a variety of things from the lighting and draping in the barn, to ceremony aisle décor made up of small kumquat planters, to day-of signage, and she was resourceful up until the very end. She even brought leftover arrangements to our day after brunch so that our guests could enjoy the arrangements for just a little longer. We had an amazing wedding — not just because it was so perfectly planned and beautifully executed — but that definitely helped. As my hubby says, he thought ppl who wanted over-the-top weddings were always a little misguided — until we had our own — and having memories that are just that gorgeous really do add to how special the memories become. And those special memories absolutely wouldn’t be as beautiful as they are without Danielle’s artful eye apparent everywhere that day.
