C & E Fashions

Located in Downtown LA is a shop where you might find some of the sharpest kicks this side of Chicago, but here’s the deal… C & E isn’t for everyone. Let’s be real, there are lots of guys who won’t buy a suit for the price some of the shoes at C & E go for. That’s o.k. because when you really need to make a fashion statement C & E will still be there for you.
Now to further clarify all this confusion, let’s be clear what I’m talking about. I’m talking about shoes, not just any shoes but EXOTICS. Now when I say EXOTICS I’m talking gators, ostrich, eel, lizard, snake etc. And don’t get it twisted these aren’t Stacy Adams shoes (not that there’s a single thing wrong with them) were talking Mauri, Magnanni, Mezlan, Moreschi, Alberto Guardiani, Etro and Bacco Bucci.
Now don’t go judging a book by its cover when you shop for exotics. It’s a completely different ballgame. The funkiest looking pair on the shelf is likely the one that will look fly’est on the foot. And when you come to C & E start asking for what you want to see because chances are they’ll have just what you need it just might not be on display.
Aside from being expensive, these shoes are damn near indestructible. Yes, you will need to find a qualified shine man to handle your exotics but aside from that all you’ll need to do is have your shoes re-​soled every few years and they’ll outlast your puny carbon life-​form. Imagine the security of a steel toed boot combined with the comfort of a high quality dress shoe and that’s what the brands I mentioned will give you.
As for me, I had just spent an obscene amount of money for a tailor made tuxedo. Patent leather would be far too disrespecting for my precious garment. Having a fondness for Mezlan I’d opt for a black gator/​calfskin lace up complete with gator wrapped tassel ends.
I’ve know one of the principles at C & E for a few years. When I mentioned if he was around I was pleasantly introduced to his sister. Alani went out of her way to not only help me find the right shoe but also a complimenting belt as well (not on display). They seem to have another stockroom nearby because every time I inquired about an item a runner would bolt out the door and suddenly reappear with said item moments later.
I’m a sucker for service, so C & E will be seeing me soon. And fella’s when you’re ready to step up your game there’s only one place to go.
