We were greeted with a smile from Candace, she was prompt and courteous. Food was delicious and we appreciate the Unilocal Taquito deal! I guess I’ll have to go to Cabo San Lucas now and check out Cabowabo in Mexico.

Cabo Wabo Cantina is located on the 4th floor of the Hollywood and Highland center. It is mostly hidden, but from where you go up in the escalators, it will be on the left side under the staircase. The restaurant itself is really big, with a patio, a bar, and two sections inside. They even have a stage for live shows and performances which is super cool! We had a large party, and they started us out with giant buckets of tortilla chips and salsa on the side. We then got the Super Cabo nachos to share, and it was humongous! The nachos had a ton of toppings heaped on top, and I could not stop eating it! I love the variety of toppings they have on there, and it is perfect for sharing at the table. Next up, we had the fish tacos with chipotle lime crema and shredded cabbage. The batter was nice and light, and I really enjoyed how crunch and airy it was. I was surprsied at how good the tacos were, and I would recommend these! Last but not least, we had the steak, chicken, and pork fajitas. The fajitas come with rice, black beans, pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream, and tortilla, so I ended up making my own tacos with everything. The quality of the meat was nice and tender, and since I got to put whatever I wanted in my tacos, I really enjoyed these! I ended up eating a lot even though I was super full from everything else. We also got the tres leches cake to share, and it was pretty good! Definitely different from your ordinary tres leches, but still yummy. In terms of drinks, we really liked the Can’t Drive 55. It is strong though as it includes tequila, rum, and gin, but that’s on you if you drink it! The title should say it all haha. My friends and I had a great time here! Cabo Wabo is great for large parties and gatherings, and the food is perfect for family style sharing as everything comes in large portions. This restaurant also looks like a great place to drink if you’re trying to have a fun night.

Kind of weird ending up here after a Van Halen with David Lee Roth show at the Hollywood Bowl! Isn’t this Sammy’s place? LOL! Yet it was an OK, after show watering hole. Don’t know if this is the case all or most of the time, but they did have a live band, which was a pleasant surprise. Drink prices were a little steep, and eveything was just OK. Nothing stood out as being fun, wacky, unusual or different. Just swell, as the three-star rating indicates.

ambiance//*** a little campy in décor it fits the hollywood tourism vibe the bar is dressed as a hut and there is a room with a stage that is equipped for larger events gatherings service//***** the people were friendly and attentive they accidentally got my friend’s order wrong, so they brought out her original order immediately they are pros at splitting checks so there wasn’t an issue with our 6 cards we were in and out of there quickly! food//*** everyone else decided to go for the taco special…3 for $ 9 i got the queso fundido… it’s like the fajita version of a cheese yuM! plus their guac and complimentary + fresh chips were delish! ~*~ you’re not only in hollywood, you’re ON hollywood so it’s expected to be a bit pricey good stop if you need a bite before catching a movie or show at this complex

Considering the possibilities, I was pleasantly surprised. Went for the music primarily, then a dinner. Seated close to the stage, the server let us chat a while before taking our orders. Along with the complimentary chips & salsa, we got a couple of enchilada dinners and drinks. Got three enchiladas with rice & beans for each dinner. There was enough food, but the prices were a bit higher than normal. Guess that’s expected, considering the location. Stayed for a couple of hours, did not feel pressured to leave(wasn’t a full house). Server good, food & drinks good, entertainment great. Caught the first two performers on Saturday, December 5th.

Wut a f*** happened here!!! Can it be that someone took a dump on my plate and called it guac and beans!!! I’m shocked. Some messed up hollywood rockstar just thought he could rip us of just because he used to be famous; get out of here, if you cant find better food than this, you might as well search the garbage cans around town.

This is what I expected from a CWC. Drunk tourists, cheap wells, cool bartenders, and a variety of «texmex» food. After getting no service at the bar at the grill(which is normally very good) before a show, my wife and I decided to see what else was open on that floor and we were happy to bring our business to Cabo Wabo. We were in a rush by then to get a drink and the bartender was awesome, he got us some great drinks and a chicken quesadilla in less than 10 minutes, enough time to enjoy our drinks and get a good bite to eat — they also had a free taquitos check in offer, which were also very tasty. Overall a great experience after not having much of one at the Grill. If you’re looking for fine dining or «authentic» mexican, THIS is not your place — think if senior frogs and the late Chevy’s had a baby, it would be this. Enjoy!

My Waborita, chips & salsa and our waiter was the best part. I Sammy Hagar, so we decided to try this after the TMZ Tour. The food is mainly Mexican, the drink selection is awesome and the atmosphere is filled with Sammy’s memorabilia from all decades. Our waiter was very nice and prompt. The food, not so great… It’s Americanized Mexican food. I could’ve sat and eaten more chips & salsa and been fine. For us, we wouldn’t return for food, maybe drinks if a good band was playing. Sammy also doesn’t even own this location anymore, he sold it a while back. Finding that out kind of sucked.

What do you expect from a chain store owned by a celebrity at Hollywood’s busiest intersection. It’s pretty much the Knock-Off Mickey Mouse, Disgruntled Spiderman and Fat Jack Sparrow of Mexican restaurants. Everything’s maybe $ 2 more and 2 ounces less than it should be. I will say that the service was good, and that the bartender did us a solid by making us a trio of skinny margaritas blended. Though he warned us it might not come out good, they were stellar. The chipotle chicken salad was OK, but a little small. Be careful if you eat through the bottom of the soggy tostada bowl shell or you might eat part of the paper doily beneath it, like I did. Which is totally fine, but I farted, and out a fortune. My lucky numbers are all 2.

The Hollywood location in nothing like the Las Vegas Blvd. experience. The food was bland over priced with small portions. We got the taqueto appetizer which only had 2 very small taqueto. Put together they were about the size of one average eggroll, the carne asada & shrimp enchiladas were equally bland. Minor substitutions were not allowed even on their most expensive entrée. For a themed restaurant/bar neither any of Sammy nor Van Halen music got played while we were there over an hour. There was a small poorly stocked gift booth. The place looked like it was going out of business. About the only positive was that the waiter was friendly. I won’t be back to this location again.

We went for a show at the Dolby theatre and it ended a little late so this was one of the places still open that could seat us right away. My wife got the fried fish tacos I got the chicken enchiladas. Both of our meals were just bland and the rice was not flavorful at all! We got free taquitos with a check in and even those were just okay. I will definitely look for a different place next time i am In the area

Since I work in this complex I’m always looking for good stuff to eat. Cabo is a decent Mexican place! Once a week I get the chipotle chicken salad and tortilla soup. They are my favorite items there! Service is excellent too. See you guys soon!

+ Large portions + Friendly wait staff + Fast service + Peach sangria was great + Parking validation for parking garage — Extra guacamole was $ 3 for a tiny cup My gf and I randomly decided to try this place out as we were walking around the Hollywood area. Pricing was reasonable and the service was fast. I had the carne asada plate and she had the fish tacos. We shared everything. A Unilocal checkin also gives you 3 free tacquitos! Portions were large and we could barely finish everything. Not sure if that was my fault since I also drank most of a peach sangria pitcher. Only downside is the restaurant charges you $ 3 for another small cup of guacamole dip. If it was $ 1, I’d understand. $ 3 is a bit too much.

Came here yesterday after a long day of being in the Hollywood carnival parade. Ran into my X who said this place is really good. Got a free 3 taquitos with Unilocal check in, We ordered three orders of the sliders. Very tasty, and filling for 4 of us. I really wanted to try a burrito, but for 20.00, hell no! He explained its Hollywood, but that is way to much money, with all the great places I have in the valley for way cheaper! Service was a bit slow, but the sliders were damn good, or maybe I was just so starving after a day of drinking and no food. I would probably come again.

Popped in for some margaritas and a quick dinner. What an amazing experience. I had the tacos, my fiancé had fajitas ! Jared was a wiz behind the bar serving up amazing Jalepeno cabo kiss margaritas, soooo good. My fiancé and are local and although this is a touristy spot we love sneaking down here for some good food and great service . Thank you !!

Walked in on a monday afternoon with a group of 9 including 4 kids. There were just a few diners and the place was mostly empty. We were seated promptly and our waiter was friendly and helpful with giving us hints of the popular drinks and food. Unilocal also had a deal for a free queso fundido with my first check-in at this location with an entrée order. We ordered side fries for the kids, Ahi tacos, veggie burrito, and the queso fundido. For drinks, we got the sunset margarita which was awesome. Also got the mango margarita which was so-so and bland. The margaritas will not give you a buzz, little alcohol content apart with the exception of the sunset margarita. The fries were a little spicy for the little ones and we re-ordered un-spiced fries. The ahi tacos were great, as well as the veggie burrito. The restaurant was clean, the hostess and waiter warm and courteous. The scenery from the patio is great. Will come back if I visit again.

The food runner was folding silverware wraps outside of the restaurant on the hostesses’ podium. Gross. No sense of sanitation. Our waitress wouldn’t make eye contact with anyone except the person paying for our meals. If a tip is her main concern, she needs to treat everyone equally. We felt very unwelcome and uncomfortable. The food was completely bland and took over 35 minutes to arrive, even though the place was nearly empty. For the price of the menu items there are wayyyy better places to eat in Hollywood. Don’t let your weekend outing get tainted by coming here. There is a major lack of structure and care.
