Okay I think I am writing this review for the correct place… you know the little hole in the wall joint serving up Korean crab stew and short rib stew??? Okay yeah thats the one.
So I went here with some of my friends a little while ago because «Hey I’m adventurous when it comes to food» I was like I’ve never had whole crabs in a steaming hot bowl of soup before so what better time than right now! Now keep in mind that this is the real deal folks. I was the only whitey in here so I know I was gonna get some good authentic food.
Lets just state for the record here I was plastered during dinner due to the soju and beer concoctions my friends brother was making for all of us. That said and regardless of my intoxication, dinner was freakin amazing!!! We ordered up (and forgive me for my lack of remembering what the Korean names of the dishes are) the short rib stew and the crab stew. Both of which have spicy bases fyi. The soups also come with all these little dishes before your meal comes. I remember there being these yummy veggie pancake things and octopus with a spicy sauce, both of which were yummy. The other thing I liked too was at the end of the meal you are served a chilled bowl of this sweet rice drink in a bowl.
Keep in mind when you go that its best to go with a group of friends (hopefully one who is Korean and can decipher what to order and tell you what you are about to eat) everything comes family style and the portions are large.
