Cafe Scent

Had lunch here with my folks yesterday and the service was terribly slow and it wasn’t busy at all! Unfortunately, the food did not make up for it, it was mediocre at best.
Such a cute little café but I think the only reason I would ever come back would be to order flowers.

The best café food ever, it does have that romance ambiance feel too it…

I should have left this review long ago, but I shall do it now. Since you can’t give negative stars, I wish I could at least give 0. I have never had a worst experience anyplace, ever.
My friends and I used to come here ALL the time. It was our ‘go-​to’ spot post-​high school, when our class schedules were crazy, when we all got jobs with slightly-​saner schedules, when we would text out of the blue to see if we were free to hang out, where we gossiped and caught up on stuff. Where our friend told us she was getting married.
This is where my story starts. A couple of months ago, we all got together so she could tell us everything. We had had a previous bad experience where the service wasn’t great and we were ‘reminded’ to leave tip (which we of course were going to do; we just needed change or we were leaving it on our cards). We let it go, though, and went back. Mostly out of habit, I think.
The last time we were here, once again, we didn’t get great service. Our orders were a little screwed up, in addition to the lengthy time it took to even get them, the server hardly came around, though he did offer to fix our order, so I’ll give him that. However, after that, it was like we didn’t exist. We were not happy, but it wasn’t a huge deal.
Until they made it a big deal.
We were paying up front when, for the SECOND time, we are ‘reminded’ to leave a tip. Who DOES that?! We were pissed. We paid. We left. You would think that would be that.
No, then the server follows us to ask why we were so dissatisfied. He wasn’t a horrible server, by any means. He wasn’t rude or mean. Until he followed us OUTSIDE when we were already leaving and pretty much demanded we explain why we left him a low tip. To be frank, it wasn’t so much his fault as it was the person in the front that night and the previous time we went, that thought it would be a good idea to ‘remind’ us to tip. But when he followed us, I’m glad we didn’t leave him much because WOW. I have never felt so uncomfortable in a place in my life.
My friends tried to explain to him what we didn’t like (above) and he kept insisting there had to be more than that. We’re not picky people. When we go to places, all we expect is good service, great food, and a place to hang out. We aren’t even demanding. Once we have our food/​drinks, we sit around and chat, very rarely asking for anything more unless we get dessert. Most servers just pass by to ask if we need anything and most of the time it’s just refill sand in most places, the server notices right away and offers it.
We didn’t get that. But that was fine. We didn’t need much (except maybe a couple of refills). Until he followed us. I will never be over that. It was ridiculous, unnecessary, and highly uncomfortable. After almost ten minutes of standing around in the middle of the street, trying to explain again and again to a person who was not listening, I had to walk away because I was PISSED and did not want to get bitchy. It takes a lot to rile up my nasty temper and that did it. Thankfully, I walked away because a lovely night with what is the happiest news our group has had left me so pissed and that made me angrier.
The one good thing? The food, I’ll give them that. Drinks are so-​so. The location’s pretty cute and, hey, parking validation which is a rare feat in K-​town. Service? S.H.I.T.

Came put of my way from glendale to come here got here at 1030 they close at 12 they said its too slow thats why there closing early yet there eere plenty of people inside. Never coming here again.

Good service, nice atmosphere, it’s one word — different from what you usually get in LA but I like it. Also the food’s not bad so you guys made a nice mixture.

As stated: A-​OK.
I like the idea of the whole flower shop + café thing. However, that won’t keep everything well round. The interior is okay, a little gimmicky. It seems old and I see some places to be fixed up like seats and tables.
As a family of 6, we ordered Spanish Latte, Mango sweet tea, Passion fruit tea, waffle, Peach smoothie, and oreo smoothie.
I usually like cubano, but spanish latte was acceptable. The server forgot about our passion fruit tea until we asked once again. Though it is not professional, I figured that the server was rather new and inexperienced, so it was okay.
The tastes of everything else was just A Okay.

Love coming in early in the mornings! Their coffee and breakfast combos are great! Good portion of food with unlimited (pretty smooth) house coffee for $ 7 – 9. They are good about refilling your cup with a hot coffee. (: such a peaceful morning, comfy booth, not too crazy loud. Its a perfect place for brunch meetings! Had egg sandwich and a black rice breakfast burrito.
Both filling and yummy! Will schedule another business brunch soon!

This place is so lovely and the customer service is always great!!! It is such a good place to have coffee/​snack and study. All the food that I had was great especially the honey bread (sooooo good) The portion of the food is very generous as well. (1 entrée is enough for 2 people) The only complaint is that the music is quite loud here but other than that, everything was great. I’ll be coming back for sure!

Overpriced beverages, spotty WIFI. On the bright side– 3 hour validation parking in structure.
Customer service is nothing exceptional, just decent. They don’t seem to understand English as well.
NOTE: No dairy-​free options available!!!
I haven’t had any of their food menu so I’ll give them an extra star.

Cute coffee shop in Ktown. This one located on the street side of Aroma Center, a few steps away from Starbucks. We had huge iceream looked like the one we had in other coffee shops in Ktown. One big slice of red velvet type cake was super. Great service also.

What a romantic café to take a date to. It’s too bad that I came here with my guy friend who prob doesn’t fancy places with great interior design like I do haha.
I didn’t try out their food items here but the coffee and black tea I ordered here was always consistent with quality.
I really like how this café has these beautiful lights lined up which accents the awesome, modern layout of the café. If you know me, I’m the type to really dig nice environments, more so than the food or drinks.
In the first part of the café, there are love seats and cushioned seating for more comfort. Unfortunately, whenever I come to this café, people are always sitting in this section so I usually sit in the back but the café is still beautiful all around.
You can get validation here for parking. Just make sure to get your card stamped by one of the workers here. Next time, I’ll def bring a date here to enjoy a romantic time ^^

I was having a little get together at my place over the weekend and wanted to get some food delivered since we were all hungry. We decided on 2 orders of the oven baked chicken wings and the bbq chicken pizza.
We got the food delivered using the RushOrder app (use promocode «HUNGRY3» for a discount!). Delivery was fast and the wings were still hot, just the way they are supposed to be!
I personally think the wings were a lot better than the pizza, but you can’t expect much from a pizza from a small café like this one. Not bad, but nothing to write home about either. Overall I was very satisfied with the food and delivery though!

Typical Koreatown café. Though it is kind of cool that it’s also a flower shop, food-​wise, there wasn’t anything too special. I’ve dined in a couple times and had it delivered a couple times, and at the very least, I can say that they are consistent.
You can use the RushOrder app to get their food delivered; not sure about the flowers though. Perhaps I’ll try getting the RushOrder guys to deliver some flowers along with the food next time.

Absolutely LOVE this place, and it’s my first time here. The staff is nice and the food even better. Definitely coming back.

I needed something heavy. So I did.
Typical Korean café style.
Food, coffee, desert all at once.
I loved the patio, but it was too chilly the day I visited so I sat inside.
As I walked out, leaving the restaurant, few ladies were smoking.
I don’t like to smell cigarettes when I eat!
I love hamburger steak — they had it and it was too pricey.
If quality meets the standard, then it is not considered pricey, but it didn’t.
Pasta was very heavy, which I wanted, but impossible to finish…
PICKLES! why in the world are they putting cinnamon spice in it?
Also they must put them in the little ramekins and keep them out side. It was all dried up. I have never seen dried pickles…
I liked the atmosphere so I may give it another try just for desert next time.

We came here hoping to try some «korean toast.» We definitely tried the toast, and the fruit slush. both were really good (we ate everything). They have a very fine ice on the shaving, which was very melt-​in-​your-​mouth good.
My friends also got a mango smoothie and an Oreo smoothie, and the bf got a café mocha. From what I’ve heard, the Oreo smoothie was the best Oreo smoothie that my friend had ever had. The mango was good but a bit much, and the bf liked his café mocha that had a «peach» on it in foam, but really looked like a butt up side down. I’ll post the photo, you decide!

I like places with well thought out interiors and Café Scent definitely impresses. The café’s decorations make it stand out from the masses of coffee/​tea shops. I got the Sweet Potato Latte and it was good! It was thick and creamy and I liked that it was a unique sweet potato flavor.
PROS:
–Free WIFI — The password is their phone number
–Validated parking for 3 hours
–Very large seating area. I would say about 15 outdoors and 70 indoors so about 85 total
CONS:
–Not many outlets. There is one at the end of the long table near the entrance.
I would come back to chat with friends but I would NOT come back to study/​work (not enough outlets).

DON’T GET: Green tea affogato
The green tea affogato is so stupid! It’s green tea poured over green tea ice cream… Giving you… Melted green tea ice cream!!! You’re just speeding up the melting process of the ice cream. Where is the espresso? Or at least use vanilla ice cream and hot green tea to make it more interesting?
The interior is pretty cute… it’s a nice place to chat with a date or with gal friends. However, the food was just alright and I forgot all about it.
I tried:
Strawberry smoothie (not bad)
Spicy rice cakes (ok)
Green tea affogato (stupid!)

It is cozy, easy to park and good services.
I met my friend today here in KTown. I usually avoid to meet the people in Ktown, thinking the parking is crazy. However, here is so convenience because this café belongs to Aroma fitness center. The parking is huge and free parking with the validation.
The place is also cozy with dim lights and big couches. And the service is incredibly nice refill the coffee infinitely. The Tiramisu is also very well made and delicious.
I will definitely come back.
