One of the best places in town that opened late. Can’t believe they closed. Beyond sad at the news.

Not much to say other than it had great sushi and a nice vibe/atmosphere. The waiters were a little quirky but I don’t expect much anyways.

Food was excellent, albeit too pricey for what you get. Service was great, but it was a little hard to understand the sushi man. My 8 yr old usually orders the rainbow roll everywhere we go and she said this was the best one she’s ever eaten.

Such an amazing sushi experience, the place is calm and quite, the waiters and chefs are kempt and polite. The service was fast, clean, and great. The plates were big yet cheap. I would definitely come back to this place again.

We came here in July 2015 for my grandmother’s birthday. The food and the service was absolutely amazing. Thank you to everyone at Café Sushi for making my grandmother’s birthday so special and memorable. The baked black cod is out of this world, melts in your mouth. All the rolls were great, absolutely the freshest fish, salmon avocado, tuna cucumber and shrimp tempura. Sunomono salads — cucumber and crab — were light, fresh and very flavorful. Can’t wait to come back :) Thank you!!!

Love the special #3 roll with no rice wrapped in cucumber. Taste great but very very very overpriced! Insanely overpriced. Love the food but probably won’t return cuz I know I can get same roll everywhere else for 12 $ or less… About 5 $ cheaper everywhere else…

My daughter and I visited Café Sushi on Friday, April 10. The food and service was excellent. They had the best tempura in the entire world. It was hot, fresh and extremely well prepared. I also had the salmon teriyaki, the salmon was fresh and prepared well. My daughter had a spicy tuna hand roll and a seafood ramen. I will definitely like to go back and try some other items; they have a vast array of rolls.

We came here on a Tuesday night… We were immediately seated at table of our choice. We ordered spicy five mushroom soup. Really good. Our favorite is the albacore jalapeño. Highly recommended. The spicy tuna roll has a special kick to it. The miso is flavorful but the seaweed salads needs some work. Overall highly recommend and would come again!

Walked here while staying at the Élan hotel, it’s literally a two minute walk. It’s pretty big, sushi bar as you walk in and goes pretty far back. They give you a warm towel to use before your meal, which was pretty cool. We started with some sake, the waitress was able to suggest a pretty good one. My favorite roll is a California roll with raw salmon and a thin slice of lemon on top. They didn’t have anything like it on the menu but they were nice enough to make it at my request, pricing it similarly to another roll on the menu and it came out perfectly. One thing I liked that I’m definitely not used to, was that they use REAL crab in the rolls. The Ramen was also pretty good, I had the spicy one. It had a lot of flavor and wasn’t too spicy. Prices weren’t too bad either.

My boss takes us here for lunch sometimes. Not sure if it’s because my boss is awesome or because this place is amazing! Spicy crab miso soup. Spicy tuna on fried ricecake(Brown rice) so delicious. Their spicy tuna is seriously on point! Fried rice was on point but, a little too wet for my taste. Spicy tuna is better than the spicy albacore I’d have to say. Staff is also very nice and accommodating. Oh! And they have fruit punch tootsie rolls! My favorite! Price is also very good. A lot of good food for a decent price. Even my Japanese friend was like this is pretty good Japanese food. So you know that means a lot LOL Thumbs up for me

This place is pretty good. We have been coming here for years. Their menu is VERY extensive and we love cruising by for an easy sushi meal. Anything you want that is Japanese, they have here. I am sometimes not in the mood for fish so they have a huge assortment of other foods. They have valet on the side of the building as well.

Wasn’t expecting much when I walked into Café Sushi, and I left being pleasantly surprised and satisfied. I wasn’t planning on stopping there but it’s just where my friend and I ended up after being tired of the usual spots. Walked in and unlike many Japanese spots on a Saturday evening, it wasn’t packed. That made me a bit nervous about the food. The fact that the menu is huge, didn’t help. I watch Gordon Ramsey’s Kitchen Nightmare’s, and one thing that always makes Ramsey skeptical of the food quality, is a large menu. I ordered the Alfred roll(basically a spicy tuna roll) and their three fish ramen soup. EXCELLENT! Due to the fact that ramen is not something that the restaurant really features, as much as it’s kind of presented as an «also there», I was expecting it to taste like Cup O Noodle! I was wrong. The ramen I had was flavorful and loaded with seafood. I went in on this ramen! And the waitress told me it was a «small» but it still was a very generous serving! What wasn’t generous was the sushi. My sushi was very fresh and flavorful, but it could’ve been more. Thank goodness the ramen’s so filling. I want to go back and get the spicy tuna burger. I was eyeing it while I was there and now seeing the pics on Unilocal, makes me anxious to go back for it. The only cons are the small sushi servings and the menu is a bit overwhelming. Other than that, it’s a solid spot.

So close to 5 stars. Excellent quality. Less rice, more sushi than your average sushi place. Big menu. They don’t smile a lot. But who cares, they are busy making good sushi. i recommend this place.

An extensive and delicious menu with some delightful combinations. Definitely my new favourite sushi restaurant in Hollywood! The staff are helpful, prompt and attentive, the food freshly made and beautifully presented and the ambience extremely chilled out. Love it!

One of my regular sushi places. Love the albacore salad! Great quality sushi and delicious dressing with crispy onion. Great service and love that they give orange slices at the end of the meal.
