Love this place, they have amazing burgers and fish tacos! It’s like an American Latin food fusion place. Great food and excellent service!

I’m not really fond of their dinner plates. Their chicken sandwich is good but very expensive. They will not substitute the bacon in the sandwich with jalapeños instead they charge 1.25 extra. Also their customer is by far the worse.

Walk in order and pay at the counter, they have a lot of choices from different places around the world. I ordered the half rotisserie chicken and it was only tasty on the outside you know the skin. Chicken was dry from inside, I didn’t expect that from this type of chicken. Fries were good the salad was poor, served with huge pcs of tomato that were still yellow and hard. Not the meal I envisioned.

Ordered lunch for all of my office & maintenance staff, which was close to $ 100. They forgot my order & didn’t acknowledge any wrong doing, which wasn’t the first time. I won’t order from them again, however; lucky for them, part of my staff actually likes their mediocre quality of food.

my friend and i picked up some dinner from here one night and took it back to their apartment to munch. we ordered ahead of time over phone and they gave us an estimate on how long it will take. i drove and he ran into fetch the food since there was only a very small parking lot and not much street parking either. i didn’t have high hopes for this place but its quite amazing. it can get really busy so i recommend if you’re picking it up order ahead of time and eat in the comfort of your own home. we got the carne asada lomo saltado… like wow SOGOOD. best I’ve had. I’ve tried a few restaurants that served lomo saltado and they do it on point here. everything tastes extremely fresh, the meat is cooked to perfection, large portions, and comes with rice. like this place blew my mind. it is reasonably priced for the amount of food given and the quality. if you like things spicy(like my friend) get tons of green sauce to go with your meal. if I’m around the area and in need of food, best believe you’ll see me here :)

I had a terrible experience here. TERRIBLE. Some ugly Armenian lady attended me. She was extremely rude to me. It was my first time here and she was getting frustrated because I couldn’t decide what to get. Instead of helping me out she kept rolling her eyes. How are you going to expect me to come back if I’m getting treated bad?

Love this place. The fod is to die for. I eat here when visiting my mom. I usually order pollo al mojo. A bit pricey but you get you money’s worth.

Ah I must say, I was a little disappointed with Caveman Kitchen since everyone that praise this place would say that this is one of the best places around USC. Unfortunately, I am very special with Peruvian food since I am from Peru. Their lomo saltado had too many fries and little meat. I guess this place is a mixed of Mexican and Peruvian food which it might have changed its taste. Sadly, it didn’t taste like home. I also had the pollo a la brasa which it was fairly good, but I’d definitely go to Pollos a la Brasa Western which is 1 mile away.

The food here is great! My issue is that they’re tight with the sauces! Don’t be stingy shoot some extra sauce! Food is quality but the sauce definitely makes the dish even better!

Picked up lunch here for my husband’s office and the food was delicious. We ordered the rotisserie chicken which was very juicy and delicious. Our sides were rice n beans which were also very good. The service was good, we ordered ahead and the food was ready when we arrived for pickup. All in all it was a great experience and we look forward to having it again.

Five stars for a great first experience. This is only based off one experience! Staff was very friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Went on a Thursday around 11pm. There were only a handful of customers. Parking lot is small, might need to find street parking in the neighborhood. I ordered to Lomo Saltado, delicious! The meat was tender. It only came with a scoop of rice. The sauce had great flavor, not too salty. The green sauce and red sauce are both really good too. I love the green sauce and I think it is more spicy than the red. Definitely want to come back and get some plantains. Enjoy(:

I had the Lomo Saltado, and it was so deliscious! Yes, definately a fan and I’m not the only one, came in on a wednesday for dinner and it was a packed house, there was line… The food was very flavoful, rich lemony and zesty flavors, just mouth watering!

Chicken was flavorful and moist, and falls right off the bone. It’s very important to ask for fresh batch chicken. Along with my chicken I got rice(decent white rice) and black beans(ok). In my opinion Aji green sauce(a bit watery) gives it a nice hot kick to my food. Service is ok. *my waiting table was sticky. My food grade: 9 Restaurant neatness: 7 Restaurant appearance: 7 Customer service: 8

Damn the Pollo De Saltado for being so perfectly juicy and spicy! This was my first time trying Peruvian food and it was totally worth it. The spices were just right. I also tried the quesadilla. That was really good too. The ambience is pretty laid back and the restaurant has good seating. For the price you pay, I was surprised that they served us platters and not disposable paper plates. It was definitely a good decision to come here.

The food was nothing special. Chicken was kinda dry but it was super cheap so I’m not going to complain. Horchata was actually pretty good though!

The Lomo saltado was bomb! Was around the LA area and the food looked good in the picture Glad we came here! Service and food was great. Came here on a Monday around 1pm and our food was served fast and was very happy! Will come here again for sure!

One of my favorite«fast food» restaurants by my parents house. Whenever the family and I want to order in fast food that is not like fast food we come to this place. They take call in orders which I love because you place the order and just pick it up within a few minutes and it’s ready. We always enjoy ordering the rotisserie whole chicken that comes with 2 sides which we get rice and black beans for only $ 15.95(which I may say that is pretty cheap!) For the smaller plates I also enjoy the Pollo al mojo(translated to Garlic chicken) omg so damn good! It’s so juicy and it comes with sauteed onions. They have a peruvian side to this restaurant which is random but hey even better. They have inca kola and all the saltado plates(lomo, pollo, y mariscos).

Me likes Caveman Kitchen! This is a whole in the wall located in small shopping mall off a very busy Vermont, extremely easy to miss if you don’t know what you’re looking for. Caveman Kitchen exceeds most expectations. Upon entering, the establishment is big and clean. The staff is very friendly. I don’t know the name of the man who helped me place my order, but he made suggestions according to what I wanted. He recommended the garlic mojo chicken which was delicious. The chicken is fresh off the rotisserie, very well flavored and packs a kick with the garlic. The plate is accompanied with rice, beans, and plantains. Only thing to dislike about this place is the parking unfortunately. However, you can find street parking a block or two away.
